why does a country with one of highest oil reserves in the world need nucular par?

why are they still willing to pursue this after we invaded Iraq?

cuz WE split the UN and now they are trying to drive the wedges deeper....

Iraq is becoming NamII......and we lost that war....

wake up....

keithsan - posted
we didnt split the UN, france did with the veto threat, they didnt want to follow up there own threats, comply now or else....

glassman - posted
comply? LOL we chased the inspectors out so we could start bombing. it's all in the timeline, go look....

we said Iraq had a nuke program too...
they din't...
i think Iran DOES tho....

remember how the borders became so fluid in Nam??????
Bush is the one who didn't/doesn't want help in Iraq.....

keithsan - posted
we did chase em out and we didnt......
they didnt comply. times up, how many last times...., blix broke cease fire how many, refused inspector how many.

last unaninmous un resolution gave a date to have everything submitted by or else serious consequences..... that date past not full compliance, yes hans wanted to stay in, too bad he just employee.

Why didnt they submit? (making money with france and russia on the side) investigation supposedly ongoing) Sadam knew france would veto the "go to war resolution", political game, france had millions to lose and future deals pending.....

and now they cry about not being part of rebuilding.....

getting tech savy eh-glass.

our troops need US to do the right thing. i'm not sure what that is, EXACTLY, but we need to figure it out, and i am tired of the politicians not being honest with us....
i have lost faith in ALL of them because they aren't being honest.....
we never entered the war to free the Iraqi's and i'm tired of hearing that we did...
we don't have an exit plan, and OUR TROOPS are in harm's way....
it appears to me that Iran and the Iraqi isnurgents are doing everything they can to keep us there....why??????????????

keithsan - posted
First reason they like to kill us, second, they hope we leave with tail between our legs, third, they want us to be to busy to go over their border....

latest word? NO WMD confirmed by the White House.........

keithsan - posted
is that a confirmation that there ARE none there or, a confirmation that he destroyed them all, or could they have made their way elsewhere.......

glassman - posted

if the WMD got smuggled out, that means we approached the problem INCORRECTLY--we didn't surround Iraq properly BEFORE the mad dash to Baghdad ....

if they were buried, we would have seen them doing it...we have pin-point acurate weapons that are guided by pin-point accurate surveillance systems...

here's the part that sticks in my craw...nukes are made using very spensive very large, very sophisticated machinery...if they have found any of that we ain't seen it....

if you look thru the white house web-site and look at their own PR's you will find a lot of very bold INACCURATE statements.....

you will also find that the pentagon more or less predicted that the course of the war would follow the current path it is on....
the pentagon wanted a lot MORE troops.....

we have the BEST military in the world, why were they ordered to do the impossible?????

it seems to me that we are suffering from a failure to acknowledge our mistakes and acting appropriately to correct them....

keithsan - posted
WMD location worries me. War was run completely incorrectly, no doubt! Run way to politically correct and with an attempt to appease UN. Fighting that way only wastes lives.

I was for and continue to support the war, i just aint much for pussyfootin' around.

LOL- I didnt want to offend there kev, but, i get that you dont like bush personally. Its quite easy to see. I dont even know who your prime minister is at the moment...

we, have an election to partake in and saying one cadidate is a bitchass doesnt do much for the conversation.

on beating up on smaller weaker countries, 2 responses, 1: i feel we have the strongest millitary in the world, so everyone else is weaker. 2: russia left Afghanistan with their tail between their legs after 12 years of hell and loosing most if not all of their money and power. That was the big discussion here before we went in, but, of course there still are issues and will be for many years. We aint no russia.

This question/problem always confuses me- Doesn't another sovereign state have the right to pursue any weapons program they want to? Sure Iran is obviously lying when they say that they aren't looking for Nukes, if I was a country in Iran's position (much weaker than the US and full of the drug they are addicted to, oil) I would be scrambling for a deterrent as well. If you don't...well look at Iraq. Why do some countries have that right but others don't? How many countries have dropped atomic weapons on a city?

the spice must flow.....too bad it's not funny

aren't we actually using more oil to fight the war on terrorism?

and aren't we going BROKE trying to fight for the right to use the last of the oil INSTEAD of coming up with a better way????

I believe a country should use military force ONLY when attacked!!! A PRE-Emptive strike! What are we teaching are children? Can a child go hit a bully because he/she feels threatened?
The answer is NO!! The BUSH administration is playing with fire here IMO! PEOPLE HATE us MORE since going to IRAQ!!!

BY THE WAY I'M SICK OF THE REPUBLICANS AND BUSH SAYING WE WERE ATTACKED BECAUSE "THEY HATE OUR FREEDOM"! This is a FALSE statement!!!!

By the way WHAT HAVE WE GAINED FROM GOING TO WAR WITH IRAQ? The answer is nothing! People argue he was a threat to America! We had are planes flying over the no fly zone every day!! Iraq was contained! They were NO threat to us.

Now we have created another generation of upcoming young muslims that will hate AMERICA because we occupy their land.

they attacked us to recruit more fighters to their cause.....
it's a good PR campaign for the terrorists....
and now we are assisting them by providing a REAL training ground in Iraq.....and plenty more pictures to post on the net and Al-jazeera...
we have to finish the job now, but rewarding the guys who got us into it don't make sense.....

how can any idjit imagine that we wouldn't take Afghanistan after 9-11???????
they expected it.....
and there is plenty of evidence they expected us to take Iraq tooooo......
the question is WHO is really behind Osama????

it took YEARS to put 9-11 together, and cost millions of dollars....Osama supposely lost all his money in the Sudan........the govt. there supposedly confiscated most of it...low estimates for the job (9-11) are 30 million$

good point keithsan, Saddam was still selling oil......
but you don't think the French and the Russians really wanted WMD proliferation do you??? all those French jokes were off-point...i figured the Germans had built something...
remember the Babylon guns that Saddam was trying to build before the gulf war???
9 tons of high explosive shooting a 1200 lb shell over 650 miles?
Britain actully made the barrel parts for it--took the money and then confiscated the parts at customs before they could be delivered... they got paid tho.......
the recoil would have been measurable by seismometers in CA.......LOL talk about a screwy idea, he couln't protect it and couldn't move it....
Saddam was a nutcase...

the money isn't good enough......
something is still missing from the equation....

irag worse then nam2 cause the hate is so storng there for usa.

what i dont understand is how our govt can so UNDERESTIMATE.
Major hostilities over. Thati s a joke. Major war has begun when bush declared hostilities over.
The SAD part is we dont have political leadership to HElp this country now.

Help. Leaders need to come forward and make america make smart decisions and not those that are so detrimental to us.

Iraq is getting ugly and afghanistan is NOT over. Iran and syria.

so, I think we are at war with POWERS that we dont yet understand..
