in the early nineties i was living in the country, i had a little piece of paradise in a very wild swamp teeming with life.
Problem was it was infested with ticks.
i don't like to use pesticides if i can help it, so i went looking for some earth friendly bio-control. The solution presented itself in the form of a dozen young chickens. they came from a family living small shack in the middle of Tennessee. these people had very little in the way of earthly possessions, but they had over a hundred roosters tied out in their yard. i knew what they were, i had been around the pacific rim where the sport of cockfighting is bigger than any other "sport". i supposed that these birds were more than capable of taking care of themselves so i talked the guy into giving me a bakers dozen. turns out they weren't even his, they were the property of a very wealthy man, and he was paid to take care of them. but he gave me some of the mutts that he said they have to destroy anyway...it was hard to get them away from mama. she attacked us, and the pit bull this guy had that was trying to protect us....
these birds are remarkable...after a year, i had over a hundred running around my place. they just needed a little corn to keep them close, and that's really all i had to do to care for them, for a while anyway. they are wild animals....and NO MORE TICKS.....
there was a lot of predation, i lost maybe half to hawks, owls, foxes, racoons, bobcats and a few even to one my own rhodesian ridgebacks ...but these hens were very good at reproducing...
after about a year and a half, i had 30 to 35 roosters that hit puberty all at once. i wasn't in the business of fighting, so i hadn't staked them out...
it started in mid-november...i'd be on the way out the door to work in the morning and come out to find multiple cases of murder and mayhem....
these birds would actually form up their own loose circles and watch as two would literally fight to the death...
many times i would come out to see two roosters exhuasted and bloody laying on the ground still trying to kill each other...until one of the spectator birds would go over and KILL THEM BOTH....at no risk to himself.....
this proceess cotinued until i had no choice but to stake them out...i was down to ten that i could catch....this took place in less than a month...

being a spectator is genetically selected for. the birds that survived didn't do it by fighting.....
does that make them weak??? LOL it makes them SURVIVORS
who is watching US right now??????

Here is my thought.

Since terrorism is my #1 concern for this country, when I vote, I will ask myself who would binladen vote for and then I'll vote the opposite way.

THAT is why i started this thread--OSAMA has now got you tooo---he stole a significant portion of our FREEDOM

NEITHER candidate is going to be weak on terrorism--PERIOD---i am not-- you are not--NOBODY IS----vote your conscience- vote the issues on economics-vote social issues---KERRY KILLED people with his own gun--
I am a REPUBLICAN-----I grew up inside the 495/95 beltway around DC
i am not pressing anybody to vote either way---------
i am encouraging the POLITICAL debate AWAY from terrorism cuz that's what the TERRORISTS WANT

why increase attacks worldwide?
it truly makes me discouraged to think that people in general assume that terrorists are stupid demons out to cause murder and mayhem RANDOMLY -whenever,wherever they can get away with it...
they are executing a PLAN...... and it requires US to play along....

G, I get what your saying, but, I dont agree that bush and and gore would have had the same responses. I dont believe bush and clinton would have had the same response to the terrorist attacks clinton faced.

I am and will vote my conscience. I dont buy the bush lied theme, and i like my money in my pocket. My OLD quote was meant more for jarring a response than the way i live.

American safety is the number one decider of my vote this year, tax cuts would be second. I dont really care about gay marriage, CBS forging documents on bushes national guard record or the swift boat ads.

but thats just me

i know keith...
this wasn't a jab at you.
i am more than a little discouraged that WE are not getting a campaign based on REALITY TODAY, we are seeing a bunch of kindrgarten behaviour from BOTH sides......
i don't like Kerry any better...i want MY government to
WAKE THE F-UP AND ADDRESS OUR ECONOMY---IT SUX

and China is sitting back and laughing at us about our economic policy...they refuse to untie the Yuan from the dollar cuz they are insolvent according to Snow, they are borrowing money and not paying it back....

we have more bad jobs and less good jobs...
we are now competing with third world countriies for OUR jobs...
corporations are making money and WE the shareholders are not seeing it come to our accounts....
health-care is now 20% of our GDP and it should be the most valuble thing BUT there is more stealing going on there than there is in most biz....
oil is KILLING us from both sides..it's too dirty and TOO limiting in our geo-political position....

we have to suppport Saudi-Arabia even tho they are funding Al-Queda.....
i agree with you that we should take them out, but not with guns......do it economically....
our presence in Iraq MUST continue indefinitely and NOBODY wants to admit it....halliburton is ripping us off--according to the Pentagon.....

i just want to see some TRUTH and i want to be able to make some money from INVESTING WISELY not just day-trading....

wow Cantor/Fitzg. just filed suit against Saudi-Arabia..finally somebody is standing up!!!!!

my research leads ME to believe that the terrorism problem is really more about collateral damage from the internal struggle for the CROWN of Saudi-Arabia, than it is about religion...

I wasnt offended g-man but, i must watch what i say around you....... you keep records better than the news stations..

government has been getting ripped off on contracts since before i was born. this continues, we are robbed on health care and welfare also. no politician wants to clean up the system nor do they do just simple follow ups on the rules they have...

(check out MKRS volume huge today, more than yesterday. low float 52 week high is .24...
hit .21 yesterday, may take this out at closing or monday am.....)

work day is done, 2 days no restraints, (honeymoon period).

cry, but never to do anything about it.

stats say, market will fluctuate until election when if incumbant is elected then they jump 15% compared to 2% (my numbers are way off, just painting the picture)
