Am new here but have been "lurking" for a while. I have read many posts from many people and admire the extensive knowledge many of you possess, your willingness to help us "newbies", and how freely you share your stock picks, DD, and past stock-trade experience. Although I tend to gravitate toward a few people who post, was curious whom you all trust when stock recommendations are made?

I'll take a stab at this one. the posters that i generally consider "worth reading" are - bob frey, glassman, dardadog, and bingo. also several others i don't mean to slight, these are just first 4 that popped to my head. these 4 i definitely consider "genuine", in that they aren't trying to pump and dump.

however, it's all about your style and interests. i wouldn't play many of darda's picks because they're just not my style/interest, and he plays so quickly that i don't have time to keep up. any buying decisions should of course be your own, and - be careful, the penny game is a jungle

if you are just learning, i would go back and search through many of purl gurl's old posts. she has, sadly, departed the board; but you can learn a lot about DD imho by going through her old posts.

the one to avoid and ignore is blue_in_MI, he is overly stodgy, excessively skeptical and dismissive of what he considers scams, pumpNdumps, and junk companies; and in general speaks his mind way too much.

I trust the double L and only him. He thinks he knows what he is doing. I think maybe???? Trust everyone to send you looking for info. Trust 1/10 of what you read and 1/2 of what you see. Trust yourself. If you think it is time to buy. Do it. Do not go to the golf course to work and your basketball game.

Plan a buy and sell before you buy. Check the order 2-3 times. Never forget about the 0. They will fill order fast without 0000's.

after the pre-election terror attack, it will all be up to whether the american people blame Bush or rally behind Bush.

God willing, they will finally blame him.

Really beg to differ here. Under Clinton there were no less than 5 terrorist attacks--why did the American people not blame him? HE DID NOTHING!!!

Under Bush there has been 1 and that was not his fault. You may think so, but he was in office for 212 days. Terrorist attacks against U.S. interests were predicated by non activity. He did not even get his entire cabinet in hand until just a few short months previous to 9/11 because of the court/election debacle. Plus he acted on the same intelligence as did Clinton when he attacked Iraq in 98'.

You think a united front against terror is the answer. This has been an unaddressed problem facing our nation for a long time. It has intensified because we have done nothing to address it. U.N. involvment is not the answer. Perhaps you are not aware that there IS a coalition involved with this latest war.

I tire from hearing from someone who is not threatened but can critisize us for what we deem necessary.

And as for theorizing a pre-election attack: I hope not. But I do think that it would have happened much sooner had we not had a man as president who was tired of "swatting flies" and decided to go after the nest.

As to whether other countries are impervious to attack--just ask Spain and Russia. Terrorism is everywhere and no one is immune.

Clinton got impeached.....
for lying..........
won the confidense vote and was not removed from office....
but he was impeached....

seems we don't mind being lied to anymore...
that makes me angry...

Who do I trust when it comes to stocks?
Glassman- has good instincts.
Bob Frey- is the whole package.
Purl Gurl- Everyone misses your brilliance.
Dardadog- is a master of the PR bounce.
Cabbage22- is THE "chartman". (Though I think he sticks to Mach's board)
But most of all....
ME
This is a game that is all about me. I cannot blame anyone for my mistakes, nor can I give cudos to anyone for my acheivements.
It is all me.
Soon you will learn that it is all YOU.
