I'm currently a user of Lowtrades and just today got annoyed when I couldn't purchase a Canadian stock through the pink sheets. Does Choicetrade suffer from the same problem? Can Choicetrade trade any of the Canadian exchanges?

i don't think you buy buy anything on a canadian exchange unless you open a canadian account. if its listed on the pinks though you should be able to buy it. what symbol is it?

Symbol is DJEEF. I was going to try a few other symbols through Lowtrades but the market closed so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Very frusterating, there are some great opportunities north!
If Choicetrade isn't any different, can anyone recommend a decently priced broker that will allow me to trade (either through the pink sheets or direct) canadian securities?

Unless a stock is listed on a American "exchange" you won't be able to trade in a stock from outside the country unless like someone already suggested you open a account in a Canadian (or whatever country) brokerage...

If I have been correctly informed, unless your broker is "resident" in Canada, you cannot trade on the Canadian exchanges. Exactly what "resident" means is up to Canada. I understand that Ameritrade is listed as "resident" by Canada. I have both Choicetrade and Lowtrade and cannot trade in canadian stocks unless they are listed on some American exchange, which, apparantly, most are.
