The account I currently use is in my father's name (I was a minor at the time he made it for me). Now that I am 18 what would i have to do to get the account in my name? I looked for forms on Ameritrade and they just had UGTA, or whatever, which my account isnt.
Any suggestions?

Have your father cash it out give you the cash and open a new account.
Might be tax issues if you or he has a gain in the account.
Maybe add your name and make it a joint account.

Well I dont want to cash out and lose my positions in the account. Its under his name but I control the activity.
Is there a way I can create a new account and transfer securites and funds to a new account?
