Having a look at this one today. Some good volume.
Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. announced that its "Philippines In Country Affiliate" Astrolab Mining Corporation, has presented to the company's management a joint venture proposal that would bring into the Mindoro Island Project a third party energy company; who would provide the needed funding to ramp up and get the project underway. The proposal would eliminate the need for the company to secure the funding it is now working on and shorten the time frame needed to open the iron mineral rich Nagsabongan Deposit on Mindoro Island, the Philippines. Mr. Cotton has stated that the proposal has two most attractive merits, one, "the company would be able to start-up the project on the scheduled production targets while addressing the need to build a deep water jetty and high speed loading band at Wawa as soon as possible" and secondly, "the added value of having a prominent financial partner from the energy sector would greatly restore investors' confidence in our company." The management of CWRN will study the proposal and bring it to the board of directors for consideration within the next two weeks. The company is obligated under a non-disclosure agreement to withhold announcing the third party until such time an agreement has been executed between the parties.
CWRN has stated in an earlier news release that the production revenues from Mindoro Island would be approximately $5,000,000.00 maximum per month while loading out of the shallow water port of Wawa on the Verde Island Passage; once a deep water loading facility is put into operations, the monthly revenues would increase to approximately $27,000,000.00 on 600,000 metric tons per month shipping.

Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. China's Daye Steel Eyes Mindoro Island Magnetite
Wednesday February 14, 9:45 am ET

RICHMOND, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 14, 2007 -- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (Other OTC:CWRN.PK - News) Robert L. Cotton, President & C.E.O. confirmed today that management representatives from Daye Steel, the People's Republic of China, will arrive in the United States before the end of February to finalize negotiations and contract terms and conditions with CWRN for the off-take of up to three million and six-hundred thousand (3,600,000) dry metric tons (DMT) of its Mindoro Island, The Philippines, Nagsabongan Iron Ore Fines; over a thirty-six (36) month period of time. CWRN will load and ship twenty-five (25) thousand DMTs of Magnetite Iron Ore Fines per week from the Wawa Port on the Verde Island Passage until such time that higher capacity loading facilities can be put into place. The Iron Ore Products will be sold as Free On Board (FOB) Port of Wawa at an estimated contract value of one hundred seventy-two million and eight hundred thousand dollars ($172,800,000.00). CWRN has set its guaranteed minimum iron mineral (Fe) content at 65% raw crude iron ore. The magnetite rich Nagsabongan Iron Deposit's average Fe content has been assayed at 67% Fe from the core drilling program that was completed in October of 2006. CWRN holds approximately one hundred and fifty million metric tons (150,000,000mt) of iron ore deposits on Mindoro Island, the Philippines, which include an estimated twenty-eight million metric tons (28,000,000mt) of high grade magnetite in the two (2) Nagsabongan Iron Deposits. The contract team from CWRN will be comprised of Robert L. Cotton, President & C.E.O together with Ms. Sharon Vazquez, Vice President, International Business and Mrs. Jinglan Cai Brinzer, B.E. of CAI Mineral Group, LLC. A meeting is tentatively set with the Daye Steel team in Las Vegas, Nevada around the 25th of February, 2007.
CWRN is eager to begin its Mindoro Island Project and hopes that the Project Financing can be completed by the end of February. The management of CWRN is mindful of its shareholders and will diligently negotiate terms and conditions that it deems the most advantageous to the company and its shareholders interest.

CWRN has stated in an earlier news release that its Mindoro Island magnetite iron ore deposits are valued at near $6,000,000,000.00 at the current FOB market price.

looks good .I have been in for a while, lots od things suppossed to happen before end of this month

Posted by Zeker on :

The coming week should be huge for this company. By their own accounts, their Mindoro Island magnetite iron ore deposits are worth nearly $6,000,000,000 at current prices. On February 25th, their contract team and top officials will be meeting in Las Vegas with management representatives from Daye Steel of the People's Republic of China in order to finalize negotiations and contract terms and conditions for the sale of up to 3,600,000 dry metric tons of iron ore to Daye Steel. The Ore Products will be sold at an estimated contract value of $172,800,000.
That's a lot of business for a penny stock- especially one that‘s currently trading at just .0004 a share with a market capacity of under $163,000. What is no less significant about this, is that due to the high quality of the ore, a stationary processing plant is not needed. Instead, the ore can simply be crushed, screened and magnetically cleaned on its way to the transport facility. This means that no money and time will need to be expended in the construction and up-keep of a stationary facility, and far less steps will be involed in getting hte product from mine to market (less venture money for construction, labor, specialized equipment, no bottle necks/ down time at the processing facility, less chances of accidents/mechanical failure, less maintenance, no need to lug the ore to a processing facility before re-lugging it to a transport facility, etc.)
This could be compared to finding oil reserves of gasoline grade underground that don’t need to be refined first, but rather, can just be tanked or piped through screens on their way into holding facilities. Compared to tradition needs associated with mining, this lode must be very clean.

hmmm, very interesting......what do you imagine will be the effect on the stock price??? Any idea?

Posted by Zeker on :

Sorrry N-VEST-R- this is (sub)pennyland- I wouldn't even want to guess. Maybe a week from tomorrow when news comes out, we can see where it looks to be heading then. This coming week should see a nice increase as well, but next Monday will be 'the day' for this to begin to show its longer-term intentions. This stock hasn't really moved much despite there being quite a few PRs over the past 2 months. That could be a good thing.

Keeping in mind that the deal has to do with supplying iron ore to the growing market of China, take a look at what happened to BEIC Friday on news of increased supply of iron ore to China‘s iron deficient manufacturing infrastructure.

http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=beic&sid=0&o_sym b=beic&freq=1&time=6

I am not saying that this is a guaranteed thing- this company has had several disappointments in the past. All that I am saying, is that

CWRN has plenty of iron ore.

Chinese manufacturers are in need of iron ore.

Daye Steel procures iron ore for use by Chinese industries.

CWRN and Daye Steel are meeting to discuss an agreement to get the iron ore from CWRN’s holdings to Daye Steel’s property.

the news said the rep will be here around the 25th ,which is sun.So if that dose happen,we should see a nice rise in prices, next week,i cant wait,i have faith in this comp.Of course after the rise it should go back down again and then i will get back in,and i belive that in the long run this comp.will go up enough to make me rich

Posted by Zeker on :

It should be an interesting week. I have sat and watched other deals fall through on this company in the past, but I feel that is actually going to help this in the long run. Since many people are jaded towards CWRN due to the past, volume hasn't arrived to take this one anywhere. So when/if things start happening for CWRN, and the volume comes in, this one has a lot of room to move up. JMHO

Posted by bodybybob on :

the great thing is the price is so low now it dose not take a lot of money to get a lot of shares and if it just goes up to where it was at its 52 week high, you can have a lot of money. And if it dosent you really dont lose to much money, yes next week should be interesting

Posted by bodybybob on :

damm,i could of made a few thousand dollars today by selling,i didnt think it would jump up so early and so fast,so dose that mean whoever bought in at those higher prices are now stuck until it goes above .0039,ln order to make any profit?

Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. Sets Daye Steel Contract Meeting for the 3rd and 4th of March, 2007

RICHMOND, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/26/07

Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CWRN) Robert L. Cotton, President & C.E.O. confirmed today that contract talks with China's Daye Steel will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the 3rd and 4th of March, 2007.

Daye Steel has asked for an increase in the original proposed off-take of iron ore fines, from 3,600,000 dry metric tons to 9,000,000 dry metric tons over a three-year contract term. The increase in production would not be a problem for CWRN; however, loading facilities at the Port of Wawa can not accommodate vessels larger than 15,000 DWT. The Company is currently looking at alternative means of loading larger volumes of materials. Offshore transfer loading is one possibility or putting into place a floating dock at 16 meters of draft, comprised of spud barges with a floating conveyer belt less than 200 feet in length. CWRN management hopes to have the problem solved before the end of this week.

If the company can put together a loading system capable of handling 300,000 dry metric tons per month; the estimated Free on Board (FOB) contract value would triple from $172,800,000.00 to near $518,400,000.00 over the 36-month contract term.

Iron Ore Fines will be mined from the company's magnetite rich Nagsabongan Iron Deposit's on Mindoro Island, the Philippines, where the average Fe content has been assayed at 67% Fe from the core drilling program that was completed in October of 2006. CWRN holds approximately one hundred and fifty million metric tons (150,000,000mt) of iron ore deposits on Mindoro Island, which include an estimated twenty-eight million metric tons (28,000,000mt) of high grade magnetite in the two (2) Nagsabongan Iron Deposits. CWRN has stated in an earlier news release that its Mindoro Island magnetite iron ore deposits are valued at near $6,000,000,000.00 at the current FOB market price.

MY QUESTION STILL STANDS DID IT GO TO .0039 THIS MORNING OR NOT?IF THE MMs DID THIS THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE REAL PRICE IS?I USE ETRADE AND THEY HAVE UP TO MIMUTE STOCK PRICES,WHICH I ASSUME IS FOR REAL

Posted by Zeker on :

bodybybob- someone most likely made a mistake and missed a decimal place and bought at .0039 instead of .00039

Posted by Zeker on :

and probably thought they were getting a deal at first b/c the ask was .0004 and they thought they had paid .00039

Posted by bodybybob on :

i called a rep. at etrade and he said it did go to .0039 for a second he said he did not see it go up in increments as stock usually dose, and the only explanation he could figure out is that a mm bought shares at that priceand then it dropped right back down to .0004 again not giveing anyone any time to sell.Ocourse neither one of us could figure out why someone would buy shares for .0039 when they could of bought them at .0004-.0003

Posted by Zeker on :

had to be the misplaced decimal spot.

Posted by JimSC on :

If you try to buy 10 shares at 0.0039, and
you will get filled at 0.0004. The
trading system assures you the best possible
price at that moment. This error was done
by the operator to get attention. It's
part of the MMs tricks to manipulate the pps.

The chart shows a good chance of bottom bounce,
but the new shares will hold the pps down for
a few more weeks.

It went down to 0.0003 ... and with the new shares coming out it might stay here for long ... i was hoping for a good run once the China contract is signed later this week ...

I would expect a press release very soon regarding that meeting that supposedly took place this past weekend.

In a side note...

Last week the chinese stock market takes its biggest hit in YEARS...meanwhile 1 day prior to that I buy my first stock ever related to chinese business. Go figure. [Wink]

They are planning to sell new shares
after March 8th. I will not expect
any PR until then. Their business
is to sell shares, not to increase
pps, which will make it more difficult
to sell shares. Please read the story
of ONGO. Make sure you get out before
March 8th, if no PR by then.

It could drop to 0.0002 or 0.0001, as many people
will become impatient and sell at any price. Just
wait and watch.

"Deal With Daye Steel is deferred............

They cannot make an advance payment, so it looks like a J/V with Quantum Int. or Venizea Int. will be signed by end of this week or first part of next week.. Either way we are in.. Both J/V groups want all the minerals, so CWRN cannot sale to anyone for the time being... CWRN will sale to Daye later went the production allows... Maybe we will see a news release on Friday... A verbal agreement was given to Quantum via telephone..... a Meeting with their attorneys is on for today or tomorrow?? That's all I know.."

I got that off of IHUB, not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing.

All I know is that I'm in big at .0004, and extremely pissed at the management of this co. for their avarice, apathy and incompetence. The only optimistic scenario I can think of regarding this one, is that the owner and his henchmen all died in an air crash. But again, that's just wishful thinking on my part, although if it is accurate, i hope that the money I gave to them was used as payment for their airline tickets.

i have a million in a half at .0004 and in a few days i will have available some money and i will buy so that i have 2 million, although this stock is probably bull, there is always a slight chance it is for real and in that case you can get rich off of this one for a very little investment and now is the time to get in.On the other hand i have been going to his website, and he has news from 2006 and has never updated it,i also thought that the site in the phillapines was already being mined ,but according to the last news, which is quite old now,the phillipine site is not being mined yet. Also most of whats on the site seems to be bull,so i agree ,it is the most incohherent site i have ever seen and it deffinatley is not up to date, also there is no proof that all those pics. of all those heavy duty machines used to mine the ore could not be for real, but i guess for so little money you get a large ammount of shares ,for me it is worth the risk.I also when i called to find out what had happened over the weekend about the chinese meeting,i though he was based in texas. When i went to the site today it seems now he is located in las vegas.WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

i bought the stock around 0.0003 and then after the contract wasn't signed (china contract) and the new shares were about to hit market (rumored around March 8'th) .. i sold it at 0.0002 and took some loss ... but was able to use that money to invest in other stocks ... and i'm glad i got out as i was able to recover my losses and make some decent money on other picks !!

Good luck to everyone else who is still in here !!

Great news! This should finally start moving...

Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. Signs Mineral Mining Joint Venture Agreement
9:45a ET April 13, 2007 (Market Wire)
Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CWRN) -- Robert L. Cotton, President & C.E.O. of Cotton & Western Mining, Inc., announced today that it has executed a formal Iron Mineral Mining Joint Venture Agreement with Quantum International of Houston, Texas, an International Business Firm that supplies Iron Ore and Copper raw materials to the respective industrial sectors. The companies will form a new joint venture company that will operate under the name of "Cotton & Quantum Mineral Ventures, Inc." on a fifty-fifty (50/50%) percent ownership basis with Quantum providing one hundred (100%) percent of the required project funding needs and CWRN providing iron minerals from its selected iron mineral deposits located in the Republic of the Philippines. Quantum's initial investment into the joint venture will be three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000.00) to open one of CWRN's selected iron mineral deposits and produce up to one hundred thousand (100,000 DMT) Dry Metric Tons of Raw Crude Iron Ore Fines per month for the exclusive market sales of Quantum. Off-take sales and delivery contracts are near completion for the new joint venture that are valued at seventy-six dollars ($76.00) per DMT / CIF China Main Ports. There after, the joint venture shall expand quickly to two hundred thousand (200,000) DMT per month to meet Quantum's expectations of minimum production.

The Joint Venture Company shall have six (6) months from the effective date of agreement to produce the first 100k/dmt shipment. The time frame was agreed upon by the parties to take into consideration the time needed to register the new U.S. joint venture company in the Philippines and file applications as a foreign investment mining company capable of meeting all foreign investment regulations of the Republic of the Philippines; that, together with the time needed to acquire specialized mining equipment, ship it in, and complete all mining preparation infrastructure.

Under the terms and conditions of the joint venture agreement, CWRN shall be responsible for all mining operations, while Quantum shall be responsible for all funding and finished product contract sales.

It has not been decided which one of CWRN's iron mineral deposits will be opened first; consideration was greatly impacted by the production needs of Quantum, loading and shipping capacity of available Philippine ports. It is most probable that one of the Pacific Pearl Iron Mineral Deposits on Luzon will get the start-up as nearby Subic Bay can receive large bulk vessels. It would not be practical to open an iron mineral deposit on one of the small islands at this time. Quantum has committed to funding for the expansion of operations and production on a fast track to meet the market demands.

Affiliate companies named in the joint venture agreement as being intricate to the parties involved are for CWRN, Astrolabe Mining & Development Corporation, Manila, the Philippines and for Quantum, GCQI, S.A. de C.V., (Grupo Comercial Quantum Internacional) Mexico City, Mexico.

In addition, CWRN's Joint Venture Partner, Quantum International, has been involved in international trade and business for some 30 years. Quantum International currently serves as the holding concern for various U.S. and international companies. These companies include Quantum International (Texas), Quantum International MSD, GCQI SA de CV (Grupo Comercial Quantum Internacional Mexico), Armaments International S.A., and other businesses. At the present time, Quantum International has over 30 licensed international representative companies, covering Latin America, Asia, Russia, the Mid East, Africa and (most recently) the Philippines.

Since November of 2006, CWRN has been in constant negotiations with three (3) Chinese steel mills and several traditional financing parties seeking funding and/or Joint Venture Participation to help develop the company's Pacific Pearl Iron Mineral Complexes. Quantum International came in with what management felt would give the company and its shareholders the best financial terms and conditions. Quantum International began its due diligence in mid February and came to the conclusion that CWRN was capable of delivering high grade iron minerals for the groups Iron Trading Division.

Al Johnson, C.E.O. & Director of Operations for Quantum International and Robert L. Cotton, President & C.E.O. for Cotton & Western Mining were the principal signatories to the Joint Venture Agreement. The effective date of the agreement is April 12th, 2007 and expires on April 11th, 2017 with options for renewals in ten (10) year intervals.

CWRN will not move until the dilution
is over, it may take another 4
months to get 4 B shares distributed.
The only way to win this game is to
get in at 0.0001 and out at 0.0002.
