AVTI appears to have bottomed out on Nov. 6 & 7th, it ran and then made a higher low and appears to be set to run again, so it appears we have a confirmed bottom...
Worth radaring IMO, many things have crossed and gone positive in the indicators all at once, this looks like a turning point at rock bottom prices IMO.
Well the money's there (CMF) The buys are there (Full Stochastic) MACD right at the zero center line, -nice breakout area...

Chrat you're right you did pick more winners than me. I knew of PYTO for 1 yr and still missed the run few weeks ago. I'm learning I have a few 'snails" for early 2007 I'll posy them next week. I expect the 4 will move mid/late janurary.
btw i knew of AVTI would run that week it went 100% and 80%. But I forget to make note of the dates of the conference, which is why it rocketed. My bad for not posting here before it ran. Now that I' thinking about it, this snail is due for another run.

These "poppers" I look for are just "compounded" pic's...
This is what I look for in a pic... They MUST have these!
They have a Daily AND WEEKLY uptrend in MACD (weekly just starting), Stochastic that's low, -perfect BUY time. Improving CMONEY Flow and be accumalating!
All those things line up at the same time look out.
Darn hard to find them but I do!!
And the MACD MUST be BELOW that centerline of it's indicator, cause when it crosses "That's our breakout." -look at any penny and see.
AVTI WEGI BIGN are my current 3
So yes, when I plop down a bet (nothing is for sure) but all the laws of probablity are so far in my favor that I expect EVERY pic to win, and win big too! All because I line up all those indicators and make sure I'm BELOW that centerline breakout point.

If you want a quick book to read about chart patterns and basics of technical analysis, check out one by Curt Renz - Investor's Guide to Technical Analysis or something to that effect (he hasn't written shelves of books though). Gets the point across without the "textbook sleep" that goes with many. I've even talked with the author by e-mail - stand up guy and very knowledgeable...
Just a suggestion - the two together have helped me a lot, FWIW

yes we do..I was using stockfetcher and believe it or not, one of their public scans...haven't gotten around to paying the fee so I couldn't get all of the results..so AVTI may have been in ther...But I did a basic MA crossover scan and well...wegi and bign were one of them...liked their charts. So I went in...they were just beginning their uptrend..that's where I like to get in..My main tool are the MA's and I always follow the "breaks the 10 MA downward...I am out" rule. Alot of our work here is basic...as long as you have a clear-cut understanding of just what the charts tell us. The Japanese really simply amazing, analytical minds to have produced such an anomoly.

Several scans I look at,... all anything to do with movement like Volume scans or Oversold with increasing RSI or MACD crosses. Free site's that I use are at Stockcharts dot com and Clearstation dot com.
Clearstation has a "Tag and Bag" tab, from there I hit "Technicals" and and pull up lists on all kinds of scans, I select one then use their "Graphs in Bulk" feature to look at Multiple stocks WITH charts AND indicators for each one (which you can adjust to 1 - 10 (I think) charts per page ranked in decending order...
Quick and fast, gotta like that!
I take the best from all the scans and look to see if any have everything that I'm looking for. About 1 in 100 do.
4 basic indicators I use for Penny's that cover everything that's going on with them...
STOCHASTIC, for finding exactly where to buy in and out.
MACD, for the Trend, MUST have a positive cross in the Daily AND Weekly chart and also be BELOW the center nuetral line of it's indicator -where the breakouts happen
Acc/Distr, to tell if investors are gathering or DUMPING shares.
CMF, the good old Chalk'n MONEY Flow for finding out if money is flowing in or out of the stock.
Once i find a stock that fits ALL of this, well... $$$$$$$
So far EVERYONE has taken off except one that we had to back out of PDSC which showed signs of delution starting so I pulled out [CMF went UP but the Acc/Distr. indicator went sharply DOWN... -and that can't be...]
And good old AVTI is still in play! Last one of my current 3 pic's.
Stockcharts dot com too has a "Bullish Engulfing" tab in their "Stock Scans" section that picks up alot of upcoming runners.
Positive cross with the CMONEY Flow, Weekly indicator showing a new uptrend, BIG volume in the Weekly and MACD heading towards the centerline breakout area.
I'm hoping AVTI will pop then swing over to PHEI, hopefully by then PHEI's Momentum bars will be growing... -that would be the "trigger."

We aren't even in the high part of the RSI indicator and we are JUST crossing the MACD centerline so we have plenty of room to grow!! IMO!

About WHEN to sell...
That is a very good question.
News runs and momentum runs are different! Don't sell out to soon IMO, here's why... (and again, see the PBLS example above)
These "popper" pic's of mine are at a very specific place in their growth, there are several things that I look for before I post a pic, that is why I not only expect them to go up, but to "pop."
"Pops" happen as you approach the MACD centerline in the indicator. Remember that there is ALOT of momentum that has been building with these pics, that is why they grow and you hang on to them while they do, keeping an eye on the RSI indicator and momentum bars at EOD (like that example I gave above with PBLS).
Now if this was a "news" or "PR" pop, then it would be wise to flip it in one day, -not knocking that btw... PROFIT IS PROFIT! Glad I could help!!!
But I just wanted to share what I do on these, because this is VERY different from a news or PR run. These are SOLID chart and technical indicator plays...

Thanks, I think this is a winner shortly. News is way overdue, MM have been accumulating shares and painting the L2. Once volume kicks in with update from Tioga Downs which will be very good, this may pop very high! Keep an eye on it, definitely bottomed out here.

Nice! Good picking your brain as well here too...I went ahead and backed out of Qbit...what happened there??? Dumped the rest into WEGI cuz it looks more like a weekly play since I am off to FLA for some Sunny XMAS. Seems we use the same indies for pennys..however I haven;t used Clearstation...thanks for the tip..that's what I love about the NETTRADER...so many tools...it's great...never have to leave the house! Looks like the MACD will be crossing tomorrow to me!!! Have a look!! (PPO indicator)
Another solid higher momentum bar in the MACD(MACD Histogram is what they call the bars).
So TOMORROW not today might be the big play ~ IMO. We have 3 solid GROWING momentun bars and the MACD hasn't crossed yet, so that isn't a "wish" -it looks like that's what going to happen IMO.
As always, "Time will tell" but it sure looks that way to me

Everything seems to point to tomorrow being a great day ~
1) MACD should be crossing the centerline breakout area
2) the RSI has only just crossed the 50% line, it isn't high at all, -which would be a sign to watch for a sell... Take a look on about Nov. 10th on the last run up and see how how the RSI got before the run was over... Again, we should be there tomorrow it looks like to me...
3) Accumulation is up today, not going down
4) Momentum bars still growing
So all this tells me tomorrow might be a "Kodak Moment" lol ~~~

Had an account with stochcharts once, loved it!!
But really didn't need it with the charts I get at Optionsxpress.
Stockcharts charts have a nice "feel" to them. They don't look "noisey" and cold.
I like them ~
The Gallery page is ALWAYS the first stop when checking stock pic's, cause even great stock can be bought at the WRONG time.
The Gallery page takes care of that, they have it set up wit the weekly and daily chart so you can see the MAJOR Trend (Weekly) and even the daily trend of course in the daily.
Kind'a like finding out if the tide is coming in or out (Weekly) and then finding if the waves are coming in or out (Daily). Line the two up together and you have something! Posted by Chart walker on :

Also note the RSI indicator, when it got "hot" that was your flip point. 9 out of 10 times that will be true.
Stochastic tells us that peeps are still taking some profits. When Stochastic turns around PPS will rise.
PBLS was a Nov. 28th pic, and it did go up 100% so who can blame profit takers this close to Christmas??? But the acc/Distr and CMONEY Flow are all solid, -it isn't a selloff and should do fine once settled again IMO ~
HUGE Mountain of green yet in the money flow, and low volume, so no, it's not a selloff.
I wouldn't sell here at a loss (don't know where you bought in) and I believe news of somekind is supposed to be coming out in Jan so I'd hang onto them...
But that's just me ~
That .009 has been pretty solid as a support ~

the two are very much the same, but PPo is a little more "extreme" so it "reads" better. I believe that's why Stockcharts . com uses a PPO instead of MACD.
I put the two of them together here, when doing a centerline cross go by the MACD when you want "details"
Have a look you'll see what I mean ~
We are right at the cross! And that BS order that just went thru for $6 for 189 shares just dropped us... I believe someone is playing games now cause they know this will pop!

From what I can find just Monday - no mention of early closing another day...plus banking regs prohibit financial institutions from being closed two business days in a row.

Actually, I should clarify - the rule (which I just verified with the bank) is three days of any kind, so they could be closed two during the regular week back-to-back, but not, for example, Thursday for Thanksgiving and Friday too because of the weekend.

Ok, we have strong support at .03 and remember WHERE we are in this ride, -right at the START of a uptrend showing in the weekly chart
Huge momentum in the weekly momentun bars and a sharp climb heading to the centerline breakout area in the weekly chart also. Momemtum in the daily is holding, the only weakness would be the CMF which is stable ~
We clearly caught the bottom here, and everything looks up, just look atthose "steps" in the WEEKLY chart and you'll see.
Looks like we ran into some of the "holiday effect" which AFTER Christmas should launch us, we are at the centerline where breakouts happen, had one pop, but I think we'll be seeing another soon enough IMO
Cause Like I said, we are only at the "start" of that upward trend clearly seen in the WEEKLY chart, momentum bard still growing!
As of writing this we are up 9.37 % for the week!

What I do like is the fact that the ASK stays right at .037

BID now sneaking up to meet us at the ASK Little by little, but when it goes it really goes.
Looking at a 2-3 day chart clearly shows an uptrend from it's old support at .025. We now have support at .03 and the bid is pulling away from that!

Revenues from continuing operations for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006 were $1,412,000 compared with $1,285,000 from continuing operations in the prior year's fourth fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2005. The net loss was $447,000, or $0.07 per share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 compared with a net loss of $345,000, or $0.11 per share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. The net loss for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 reflected increases in interest and financing costs of $208,000, a reduction in non-cash income of $75,000 resulting from changes in fair market value of derivative securities and warrants, an increase in goodwill impairment of $38,000 for the BJR Security Acquisition from the quarter ended September 30, 2005; offset by increases in revenue of $127,000 and decreases in operating expenses of $91,000.

So they made a little more money and decreased spending some...
Well we caught the bottom of this thing, flipping it seems is the way to go, support at .025 and bounces to .035 maybe the news will help wake this up ~
Still waiting for this super low float of 6 mill to take off, popped to .499 before Christmas then chilled. Stochastic is getting lower to the BUY section so once again we'll see how far the run takes us up.
