This one looks very good.

-Strong volume today:
Volume: 2,470,630
Avg Vol (3m): 328,770

-Candlestick chart has a bullish engulfing pattern

-The volume suddenly came after 3h, there might be some news coming up tomorrow or this week at least, because it has been quiet for the major part of the day.

It's defenitely worth keeping an eye on it for tomorrow.

Stem Cell Innovations Announces Issuance of Fundamental Human Stem Cell Patent

Stem Cell Innovations, Inc. (OTCBB:SCLL) announced today the issuance of a key patent covering human pluripotent stem cells in the United States. "The patent provides a broad blocking position for the pluripotent cells of interest to Stem Cell Innovations as it covers isolated human primordial germ cell derived pluripotent cells," said Stem Cell Innovations CEO Dr. James Kelly. "We believe that this is a fundamental patent in human stem cell biology and an important addition to our foundational IP." The patent was issued in the United States as U.S. Patent No. 7,153,684 and is licensed exclusively to Stem Cell Innovations.

Stem Cell Innovations is developing PluriCells(TM), a new human stem cell technology derived from primordial germ cells of fetal tissue. PluriCells are distinct from ES cells and are believed to be outside the competitive patents on human ES cells. Primordial germ cells are one of only two types of cells known to be able to produce any of the more than 200 cell types found in the human body. The primordial germ cells are the cells that eventually produce the sperm and the egg, passing the genome along to the next generation. Stem cell cultures generated from these cells are believed to have tremendous promise in advancing drug discovery and cell-based therapies for some of our most intractable health problems, such as neurodegenerative disease. Stem Cell Innovations is actively pursuing these applications, such as in the recently announced drug discovery program with the ALS Association.

About Stem Cell Innovations, Inc.

SCI is a cell biology company with facilities in Scotch Plains, NJ, Houston, TX and in Leiden, the Netherlands. Stem Cell Innovations proprietary, human pluripotent stem cells, known as PluriCells(TM), have the potential to aid in drug discovery, toxicology, and cell therapy. Stem Cell Innovations is in the process of making its patented pluripotent cell lines, which are eligible for federal funding in the U.S., widely available to universities and other not-for-profit institutions to rapidly advance stem cell research.

Stem Cell Innovations is positioned to become a leading provider of toxicology testing and discovery systems for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and nutraceutical industries around the world. The development of the proprietary PluriCell(TM) technology greatly expands the Company's currently marketed C3A human liver cell-based toxicology offerings.

this is a serious penny stock, no b.s.

market cap now still at $80 million on 52 week low, as most penny companies aren't worth $80 million ever!

this will rebound to .20 in the next few weeks, moves swiftly with buying prssure, the political arena and media has been alittle quiet on stem cell research lately, but it always makes it back to the fore front.....next time this happens this could easily push .50 again...look at the chart

this is a 1-3 month hold for a nice gainer, not a
1-2 day gainer flash in the pan...as many and most pennystocks are

Stem Cell Innovations Seeks European Union Registration for Its in vitro Toxicology Suite
9:18a ET February 9, 2007 (Business Wire)

Stem Cell Innovations (SCI), Inc. (OTCBB: SCLL) announced today that the Company has submitted its ACTIVTox(R) in vitro toxicology suite to ECVAM to seek validation as an alternative to animal testing in the European Union. Toxicity testing in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries is often performed in rodents. The use of ACTIVTox would reduce the need for animals in clinical testing, saving pharmaceutical companies time and money.

ACTIVTox, SCI's proprietary highly characterized human liver cell system, is currently being used to accurately predict the response of the liver to a new drug compound. Chemists can then eliminate potential toxicity before entering clinical trials. ACTIVTox is reproducible, relevant to the human and compatible with modern high throughput drug discovery. In addition, ACTIVTox has broad application and can be used to examine toxicity in chemicals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics.

ECVAM was created by a Communication from the European Commission to the Council and the Parliament in October 1991, pointing to a requirement in Directive 86/609/EEC on the protection of animals used for experimental and other scientific purposes, which requires that the Commission and the Member States should actively support the development, validation and acceptance of methods which could reduce, refine or replace the use of laboratory animals.

"Obtaining ECVAM approval for ACTIVTox in Europe is part of SCI's strategy to become a leading provider of alternatives for animal experiments," said CEO Dr. James Kelly. "Using our proprietary human cell models in combination with our in depth biology expertise, we will be in an excellent position to rapidly broaden our portfolio with new in vitro tests that help to reduce the number of animals used in the pharmaceutical industry."

Editorial: Stem cell dollars flow
But grant process is needlessly shrouded
Published 12:00 am PST Monday, February 12, 2007
Story appeared in EDITORIALS section, Page B4

Print | E-Mail | Comments

California's stem cell research institute has received little attention of late, and agency officials probably prefer it that way. But while the media have been off covering sex scandals involving mayors and astronauts, the Institute for Regenerative Medicine has been quietly preparing, for the first time in its two-year history, to dispense millions of public dollars for embryonic stem cell research.

This week, on Thursday and Friday, the institute's oversight committee will meet in San Francisco to decide on roughly $24 million in grants for new stem cell researchers with innovative ideas. While that may be pocket change compared with the $3 billion that voters authorized when they endorsed Proposition 71 in 2004, this initial research funding is historic, and other grants totaling about $100 million will soon follow this year.

Taxpayers curious about how their money will be spent can go to the institute's Web site -- www.cirm.ca.gov/publicsummaries/PublicList.html -- to see the 30 scientific proposals recommended for funding. The site also includes 200 other projects that didn't make the cut, with summaries and scientific assessments -- some of them surprisingly blunt -- about each proposal.

Once the institute's oversight board makes its final decision this week, it will identify the names and affiliations of scientists receiving grants but not those who didn't receive funding. Some watchdog groups say the oversight board should disclose all names, but institute leaders say that might embarrass researchers and discourage them from applying for grants. They also note the National Institutes of Health don't disclose such information.

We have some questions about the stem cell institute's rationale, but our bigger concern is its procedures for reviewing proposals and selecting projects to fund.

Scientists from outside states do much of this review work, and are not required to publicly disclose their potential conflicts of interest. Undoubtedly, some of those scientists have outside consulting work, or personal relationships with researchers seeking funding, that could affect their grant decisions. Yet under the institute's shrouded procedures, it is impossible for anyone -- including researchers applying for grants -- to be assured that grant reviewers are recusing themselves at the proper times.

This lack of public disclosure is the single most glaring problem with the Institute for Regenerative Medicine. While it is momentous that California is now on the leading edge of financing embryonic stem cell research, the institute still hasn't adopted a transparent procedure for policing potential conflicts. Lawmakers, in this session of the Legislature, need to correct that.

U.S., U.K. to promote stem cell research
By RYAN J. FOLEY

MADISON, Wis.

Leaders of national embryonic stem cell banks in the United States and the United Kingdom met here, in the birthplace of the field, on Monday and pledged to work together to promote research.

Representatives of the two banks said they were discussing ways to more efficiently distribute each other's cells to scientists and new standards to improve the quality of cells available.

The discussion came as Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and leaders of the National Stem Cell Bank in Madison hosted a U.K. delegation that included the director of the U.K. Stem Cell Bank and chairman of the U.K. oversight committee on stem cell research.

At a news conference, the leaders said they hoped the efforts were the beginning of a long partnership between the banks. While stem cell research is still in its early stages, scientists believe it may eventually lead to treatment and perhaps cures for diseases such as Parkinson's and juvenile diabetes.

"This is not about one side, one state or one country winning and one losing," Doyle said. "This is about a huge area of scientific research that is expanding rapidly around the world, that we in Wisconsin happen to find ourselves in a leadership position."

The government-funded U.K. bank opened in 2004 as a repository for stem cells derived from embryos and adults. Its American counterpart was created the following year at WiCell Research Institute, a nonprofit connected to the University of Wisconsin, under a federal contract.

The U.S. bank houses and distributes 13 of the 21 embryonic stem cell lines that can be used in federally funded research under President Bush's policy limiting support to lines created before 2001. Wisconsin researcher James Thomson isolated the first of those lines in 1998.

Stem cells are created in the first days after conception. Because they go on to form the body's tissues and cells, scientists say they could unlock the mystery of many diseases and one day lead to cures.

But some people oppose the research because days-old embryos -- usually leftover from fertility treatments -- are destroyed in the effort to isolate the cells.

The two banks said they would discuss international standards for how cells are ethically derived from human embryos and maintained.

"Our main focuses are very similar: we want to promote the research and the development of potential therapies in the future," said Glyn Stacey, director of the U.K. bank. "These are the kinds of issues we're talking about and trying to make appropriate cell lines available to researchers and for clinical trials as well."

Carl Gulbrandsen, president of WiCell, said the two would discuss joint distribution of each other's cell lines. His group has already reached distribution agreements with some overseas companies.

"Shipping stem cell lines overseas is no easy task, hoping they arrive, they are healthy and can be used," he said.

But even as the banks work together, U.K. and American scientists will be operating under very different restrictions. U.K. researchers are allowed to clone embryos to extract stem cells and can qualify for government funding for such work.

In the U.S., some states have outlawed therapeutic cloning. And while the new Democratic Congress is trying to loosen Bush's restrictions, no federal money is now available for cloning embryos or new stem cell lines.

8:00a ET February 13, 2007 (Business Wire)

Stem Cell Innovations, Inc., or "SCI" (OTCBB: SCLL) announced today that James H. Kelly, Ph.D, Chief Executive Officer of Stem Cell Innovations (SCI), Inc. will present data at the Stem Cells World Congress in San Diego describing further characterization and extension of SCI's PluriCell(TM) stem cell system. The Congress draws together experts from academia and industry to discuss progress in the stem cell arena. In particular, Dr. Kelly will describe the ability of PluriCells(TM) to become endothelial cells, the cells that line the arteries and which are central players in cardiovascular disease. Normal adults have few circulating endothelial precursors in their blood but increased levels have been shown in conditions associated with myocardial infarction and stroke. PluriCells(TM) can provide both a drug discovery platform and also a potential cell therapy for use in these conditions.

"We are excited by the data demonstrating the important role PluriCells(TM) may play in cardiovascular disease," Kelly said. "The recent issuance of our patent on human pluripotent cells derived from primordial germ cells gives us a dominant intellectual property position in one of the two known types of fully pluripotent stem cells. The development of the endothelial cells, in combination with the other cell types we have already demonstrated, increases our ability to exploit this powerful system for both drug discovery and cell therapy."

SCI is developing PluriCells(TM), a new human stem cell technology derived from primordial germ cells of fetal tissue. PluriCells(TM) are distinct from embryonic stem (ES) cells. Primordial germ cells are one of only two types of cells known to be able to produce all of the more than 200 cell types found in the human body. The primordial germ cells are the cells that eventually produce the sperm and the egg, passing the genome along to the next generation. Stem cell cultures generated from these cells are believed to have tremendous promise in advancing drug discovery and cell-based therapies for some of our most intractable health problems, such as neurodegenerative and cardiovascular disease.

Mr....

At the time of the merger that formed the company (Feb 14, 2006), we did a financing for shares at $0.03. The one year holding period for those shares expires on Feb 14. This information is in our SEC filings. While I have no real ability to know who exactly is selling, I presume that the anniversary of that date accounts for the recent increase in our volume.

I just wanted to assure you that there are no problems at the company. It is simply people who got in at a price and are now liquidating their position to take their money off the table. I expect that there will be more of this over the next weeks. It has no relation to our long term prospects.

Sincerely,

Jim Kelly

Just when you think the bottom might be here I read your post. I have been on the sidelines with the trigger finger ready but I will hold off again I guess. I appreciate the info. cactus. I thought this was just about to go but with the dumping it is hard to foresee the price in the short term. It is so oversold!!

Anyone think they might come out with good news to get the pps up for those selling their now tradeable shares?

Posted by cactus33 on :

a lot of the selling has been due to people anticipating big selling, that may not be the case.. i still think selling dries up soon, as crazy as that sounds i guess, lol

Posted by cactus33 on :

finally, lets see it hold..

Posted by N-VEST-R on :

be patient, this will be back to .18 to .25 within 2 weeks

technicals setting up for big rebound, buyers are coming back the last 3 days...last weeks sell volume was insane, appears majority of sells came from a few individuals/groups,rsi was driven way down

Posted by rcm62 on :

How late in the day will you entertain bets?

As a shareholder, I hope you are right, but it's gonna have to giddy-up to go green.

I really did not want to be holding this into Friday, but looks like that's what will happen. [Frown]

nice MACD cross from a big low.. CMF rising, and we get this selling, if these greedy a holes would just back up a little we would be back to 8 easy.. its just out right greed..

welcome to the penny world, lol

Chart says GO! MM's say NO!

Posted by cactus33 on :

nice little come back here..

Posted by Rocketmist on :

I don't see how it can go that much lower now.

Posted by argj00 on :

I dont get it why would the market makers keep this down & how are they able to keep it down, & why would they want to keep it down?

Posted by Zeker on :

I don't think it's all the MMs' fault. Some of it seems to have to do with fear being fueled by rumors that no one can prove. It isn't really phasing me- I'd much rather add to a position in an oversold stock that I know will turn back up, than get caught buying into an overbought one that I knew was inevitably going to turn bad sooner or later.

Posted by cactus33 on :

1 billion OS and a 4 bill AS is the big problem i think..

a lot of shares out there, Im not going to add anymore until the selling calms down.. dont get greedy on this one imo..

good luck

Agreed- time is on our side (even if it means tying up some funds in the near-term).

Posted by N-VEST-R on :

Hey, it would be great if they all ran as soon as you drop in the funds but usually you gotta wait a bit for the really good ones!

This one will be very sweet, I believe!
Good luck to all.

I need a TA expert to tell me this is not what is happening.

A Pennant (Bearish) follows a steep, or nearly vertical fall in price, and consists of two converging trendlines that form a narrow, tapering flag shape. The Pennant shape generally appears as a horizontal shape, rather than one with a downtrend or uptrend.

Apart from its shape, the Pennant is similar in all respects to the Flag. The Pennant is also similar to the Symmetrical Triangle or Wedge continuation patterns however; the Pennant is typically shorter in duration and flies horizontally.

Posted by N-VEST-R on :

Well, not the best day but if you take a close look at the chart you will see that this stock always goes back and forth just before a big run. So the way I see it, the run is coming soon and it's gonna be a big one too.

Posted by ohio_trader on :

good chance the run back up will start next week,

rebound written all over this one....

Posted by Zeker on :

I agree with you Ohio- the candles indicate that this one looks like it has found its near-term bottom and is looking for a way back up, which is significant because the previous reversal from buy to sell began back in mid-late January, and since then the PPS has fallen considerably. I'm not calling a reversal- only that based on the recent charts, IMO a near-term reversal is imminent.

Posted by N-VEST-R on :

Lets get a little piece of the run today!

Posted by N-VEST-R on :

Wow, what a sell off again.........hmmm starting to wonder if this one has to go lower before it pops............like maybe .03
