(OTCBB: CHDT) today announced that it will unable to timely file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ending June 30, 2006 by the August 14, 2006, filing deadline because of delays in consolidating and reviewing the financial statements of China Direct's operating subsidiaries. As a result, China Direct has filed a Form 12b-25 notification of late filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. China Direct expects to file the Form 10-Q on or before Friday, August 25, 2006.
