WESTMINSTER, Colo., May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arete Industries, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ARET - News) today announced that they will file their 10KSB for the year ended December 31, 2005 on May 12, 2006. Arete Industries, Inc. received a letter of intent for possible merger and $25,000 nonrefundable deposit on May 11, 2006.
A spokesman of the Company stated that "we are sorry that it took so long to file our 10KSB for December 31, 2005 and that we will file the 10QSB for the first fiscal period ended March 31, 2006 by May 19, 2006." The letter of intent was received from an undisclosed oil & gas company. Representatives of the Company are in Florida today for a meeting to begin the due diligence process and set a schedule. The Company plans to issue more details and an 8-K as soon as they have a definitive agreement.

This has got to be worth alot. The merger company wants to get into oil fields. and with oil at 70-73 dollars a barrel you got to paying a pretty penny for these fields IMO

Closed above 01 which is HUGE im not to swayed by the fact that it didnt make it back to intraday high. for that high was made from MoMo daytraders
That and i sold up there and bought back on the CHEAP!!LOL

1. Arete wants to acquire participating interests in traditional oil and gas development projects, primarily of overlooked and by-passed reserves of oil and natural gas in the Western Hemisphere. It is also looking to purchase non-operating positions in producing fields with the possibility of additional in-field development. The Group is currently working with an expanding base of oil and gas prospect generators, independent energy developers and private and institutional investors.
2. Arete received a Letter of Intent with a $25K non-returnable deposit to acquire a Florida Oil and Gas company last week and filed their 10K. Florida is a hot topic in the oil and NG arena because Cuba will now be drilling off the Florida coast for China and Florida legislation is debating whether to start drilling.
3. With the filing of their 10K the E will come off within days making this an "E Play"
4. Anticipation of disclosure regarding the merger will give Arete a new base IMO.
5. Arete had already found a bottom at .004 and has been active the last few months because of alternative energy speculation. Good luck!

Good call doling, i think this has everything to do with drilling off of the florida coast. check my post a page back. Someone has to take advantage of that oil. Wait for another PR very soon and you will see imo.

Everyone is waiting to see what the offer is going to be!! With oil and gas being as high as they are, I fell the offer must be pretty hefty since you can make the money back with high commodities prices - plus its the hottest market - and it at the center of the media attention!! jmho
