Doesn't work here either....sent nasty e-mail. I trade on-line for convenience...calling and sitting on hold is not a convenience...this sucks. Missed out on getting some cheap GLIF before the run...thanks Scotturd! Will share any responses I get....also asked by some stocks can't be bought on-line (like VWKM) due to clearing restrictions....why!!?? If you can buy it over the phone, you should be able to buy it on-line...I just don't understand...is the guy on the other end of the phone going to say...."Mr. BULListic, you really shouldn't be buying a POS like VWKM?" Heck guys I see this "Anybody having trouble with Scottrade" thread everyday. I'm thinking about switching brokers too. I'm gonna wait til I've made alot of money, that will tick Scottrade off more. Course at the rate I'm going now it might take a few decades.
That JD Power that gives Scottrade an award every year needs his head examined.

Margin accounts take till the next morning to clear funds only because their system does not recognize any thing farther than .00! It does not pick up the .0000 untill everything clears over night. Funny how the system can figure it out over night but not during the day. This POS has so many Bugs in it they need to call a real IT exterminator or SHUT IT DOWN!

i dont understand why trders wont spend fifty bucks a month for a reliable service. willing to drop 1 or 2K on a non reporting penny but wont spring for real time L2`s or pay 3 or 4 bucks more per trade to get the right kind of service. makes no sense at all!. good luck all.

I'll bite, but need names and recommendations as well....I know of ChoiceTrade, but they aren't available in my state. I missed out on 2K so far today based on what I would have bought and sold...yeah, I could have called the Branch office but 1) that's besides the point, and 2) I'm lazy. Change Scotturd name to Gaylord Focker Inc. that would be more like it....a disgruntled ST customer.
