Oil Prices Jump Above $67 Per Barrel

Oil Prices Rise Above $67 Per Barrel Following Jump in Gasoline Futures

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Crude-oil futures rose above $67 a barrel Wednesday, following a jump in gasoline futures after the U.S. government released data showing a decline in domestic supplies of motor fuel.

The data also showed that gasoline demand over the past four weeks was 1 percent higher than a year ago.

Light sweet crude for May delivery rose 84 cents on the New York Mercantile Exchange to close at $67.07 a barrel, or 20 percent higher than last year.

"As of now, everything's pointing higher," said oil broker Tom Bentz of BNP Paribas Commodity Futures in New York. Bentz said he expects oil prices to test the $70 a barrel level before long.

Active Hurricane Season Predicted for 2006

1 hour, 1 minute ago

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Forecasters expect another busy Atlantic hurricane season this year, with 17 named storms but not as many intense storms striking land as last year.

The 2005 season was the most destructive in recorded history, with 27 named storms and 14 hurricanes, including Katrina, which devastated Louisiana and Mississippi and killed more than 1,300 people.

This year's hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to Nov. 30, is likely to have nine hurricanes, five of them intense, according to Colorado State University researchers led by William Gray, who has been predicting hurricane activity for 22 years.

"Even though we expect to see the current active period of Atlantic major hurricane activity to continue for another 15-20 years, it is statistically unlikely that the coming 2006-2007 hurricane seasons, or the seasons that follow, will have the number of major hurricane U.S. landfall events as we have seen in 2004-2005," Gray said.

Before the start of the 2005 season, Gray's team had predicted 13 named storms, including seven hurricanes, three of them major.

For 2006, team predicts an 81 percent probability that at least one major hurricane will make landfall along the U.S. coastline, and a 47 percent probability a major hurricane will hit the Gulf Coast between the Florida Panhandle and Brownsville, Texas.

Joe, that P/E must be from '04. If you look at the 10-k filed on 3/31 it shows a net loss of about $550k. Profit of almost $1m in '04, although that was resulting from a non-recurring event.

Looks intriguing eitherway, I'm keeping an eye on it.

Crude Oil Rises a Second Day on Lower U.S. Gasoline Stockpiles

April 6 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil rose, approaching $68 a barrel in New York, on concern U.S. refineries aren't making enough gasoline to meet demand during the summer driving season.

Futures markets indicate traders expect prices to surpass $70 by September. Analysts and strategists say prices this year will average $63 a barrel, a record, a Bloomberg News survey showed.

Declining gasoline stockpiles ``will put pressure on prices in the next months,'' said Jean-Bernard Guyon, a managing director of Global Gestion France in Paris. ``In the months to come, we're going to see higher prices than $70 a barrel.''

2006 OUTLOOK

Pangea has identified additional prospects scheduled for drilling in 2006 in Colorado County, Texas; Brazoria County, Texas; White County, Illinois and Steuben County, New York. In addition we are monitoring activity in Henderson County, Texas and De Witt County, Texas for possible investment. We are also in the process of evaluating several additional prospects for inclusion in the 2006 program.

We participated in our first project during 2006 which was the drilling to the Wilcox in Colorado County, Texas. The well was drilled to 10,050' during January 2006 based on data developed from a 3D seismic survey and analysis of existing Wilcox formation in the area. The well found the target objective lower than anticipated in the geologic structure and was tested in three intervals and deemed sub-commercial. Further review is being conducted to see if any locations can be identified for drilling on the leases further up on the structure. Pangea has a 2.0% working interest and a 1.5% net interest in the prospect

On January 6, 2006 we acquired a 1.5% working interest in oil and gas leases located in Fort Bend County, Texas and a 2.5% working interest in oil and gas leases in Steuben County, New York, in a restricted stock transaction with Scully Oil and Gas. As consideration for the interests we issued 20,000,000 of our restricted common stock and will issue 10,000,000 warrants upon meeting certain revenue targets in the two projects.

The Fort Bend County interest of 1.5% is a 421 acre project currently producing approximately 6500 barrels of oil per month from fifteen wells in the Miocene and Frio sands. Current plans call for the drilling of four additional wells in the next six months. Pangea will not receive revenue from the project until payout by the operator of drilling and acquisition expenses. Payout is currently expected before the end of 2006.

The New York interest of 2.5% covers approximately 50,000 acres in Steuben County, New York. The project is currently shooting twenty-two square miles of 3-D seismic. Thus far there are two well defined drilling prospects in the Trenton Black River, and two leads identified in the Oriskany and Onandaga Reef sands. Additional seismic work is planned for 2006 and it is anticipated that drilling on the first well will commence in the second quarter.

On January 6, 2006 we purchased a 3% working interest and a 2.25% net interest in a prospect in White County, Illinois that encompasses approximately 880 acres. The primary target is the Warsaw Sand at 4200' with several secondary objectives present up to 3200'. The first well is anticipated to be drilled the first quarter of 2006 and will be drilled beyond the Warsaw to approximately 8500' to test a geologic feature in the Trenton Black River, which appears to be similar to the seismic features found in the successful producing areas in New York and Michigan.

In February 2005, Pangea purchased a 7% working interest in a re-entry workover in Brazoria County, Texas. The well was drilled in 2002 and experienced mechanical difficulty in the first of four zones in the Miocene sands. The logs indicate three additional sands behind pipe which will be sequentially completed for the project. Work is expected to begin prior to the end of the first quarter 2006.

Pangea is continuing to monitor additional projects for potential participation:

Henderson County, Texas is an 11,500' test in the Rodessa and Pettit with a secondary objective in the Upper Travis Peak. The first well has the potential for an additional well in the fault trap and, if successful, will lead to drilling in four additional analogous fault blocks on the leased acreage. If we participate in this project we expect to have a 2% working interest and 1.54% net interest in the first well. We are still evaluating the well and if participation is taken as currently expected, the drilling will not proceed until mid 2006.

De Witt County, Texas is a 4800' test of several stacked Yegua objectives identified by 3D seismic data. The prospect is on trend with existing Yegua production and there is considerable shallow Frio and Miocene production that appears in the area. Two recent 3D wells to the south back up the seismic analysis on the prospect and if successful, the lease could provide a follow-up location. Pangea plans to commit to a 6.67% working interest and a 5% net interest in the prospect. It is expected that rig availability will allow this well to be drilled in the fourth quarter 2006.

Pangea is actively reviewing additional prospects in Texas and Louisiana to add new wells to the prospect list. We are continuing our strategy of evaluating primarily shallow, onshore oil and gas projects that avoid investing in "wildcat" or exploratory wells. Focus remains on investing in development well prospects that are supported by seismic data, proven production from the surrounding area and positive information from adjacent wells. Additionally, Pangea will continue to diversify our risk by taking a minority working interest in the prospects such that we are not dependent on any one project or highly impacted by an unsuccessful well. The ability to invest further will be heavily dependent on securing additional capital from investors or debt financing. There is no assurance that additional equity or debt financing will be available on terms acceptable to Management.

Yeah my degree is in meteorology so I've been keepin up with the hurricane forecasts. Dr Grey's forecasts arnt usually right on (nobody's are of course) but he gets damn close. I agree with everything thats going on chances are pretty slim that the price of oil won't rise the only thing that could keep them steady or decrease them would be if drilling is allowed in the northern alaska wilderness to tap the oil there... but I think thats still at least a few years off since theres so much resistance to that.

Oil Prices Rise Above $69 a Barrel

By GEORGE JAHN, Associated Press Writer 41 minutes ago

VIENNA, Austria - Oil prices rose above $69 a barrel in Asian trading Tuesday amid concerns that
Iran's nuclear standoff and violence in Nigeria could hurt supplies.

Prices were also pushed higher by expectations of a further draw on gasoline stocks ahead of the U.S. summer driving season. Such worries overrode expectations that the weekly snapshot of U.S. inventory data will show crude-oil stocks climbing 1.2 million barrels from last week.

Light, sweet crude for May delivery rose 49 cents to $69.23 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange by midday in Europe. The contract rose $1.35 to settle at $68.74 on Monday.

Oil Prices Rise Above $69 a Barrel

By MADLEN READ, AP Business Writer 4 minutes ago

NEW YORK - Oil prices rose above $69 a barrel Tuesday amid concerns that
Iran's nuclear standoff and violence in Nigeria could hurt supplies, as well as interest in a new fund which allows individual investors to participate in the energy markets.

Light, sweet crude for May delivery rose 36 cents to $69.10 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange in morning trading, after rising to a new seven-month intraday high of $69.45 earlier. The contract had risen $1.35 to settle at $68.74 on Monday.

2.5% of 6400 barrels per month...1,920 barrels per year...about $135k worth? Market cap of $7m.

vs. NDOL - market cap of $45m and 6,500 barrels per day.

Doesn't make sense to me.

I'm looking for a reason to get excited about this company, but can't find one...not trying to bash, but other than the fact that oil is hot, why do you think this is going up?

they have 1.5% stake in another company pumping 6400 barrels a months. That gives them 96 barrels per month.

the insiders have been selling significant # of shares in the last two months.

they had less revenue in 2005 than I did! ...literally, they have $59k in '05.

I don't get it?? Where do you think this is going? NDOL has loads of proven oil reserves and isn't moving half as much as this...at least not yet.

Hey Baxt06,

Open your eyes!!!!!!!!

Pangea has identified additional prospects scheduled for drilling in 2006

If just one is a gusher!!! Ka ching!!!!!!

There is no assurance that additional equity or debt financing will be available on terms acceptable to Management.

the trueth is this stock is running and is up very well over the past few days and thats great! it is also true that PAPO is currently trading at about 137 times earnings TTM and about 90 times projected earnings unless they hit it big! ( could happen ) NDOL is currently trading at about 7 times earnings TTM and at about one quarter projected earnings, PAPO is up big and may very well continue to rise, people are excited about it and are buying, as long as this continues it should keep going up. NDOL on the other hand has gone up on very low volume but is not moving nearly as fast as PAPO, eventualy PAPO will run out of steam, at least for a while runners ALWAYS do! everyone here knows that. NDOL has not realy begun to run, it is consolidating, the earnings and potential are real and proven. soon it will move like PAPO has. both stocks have potential, one is well on its way the other is just warming up, arguing back and forth is not great for anyone, we are all in this together. if you are not in it ,dont critise it, do your own DD and make a decision based on the facts or the hype, both can move a stock, its up to each of us to decide witch gives us more confidence. if you jump in and it flies great! if it falls oh well, it was YOUR choice dont blame others for your loss. if you sit it out and it flies dont come out and point out why your DD said it is a bad play even though it went up, you missed it, so what! sometimes a stock will run for no good reason, these are pennies! they dont follow the rules and neither do I!, I follow the money, sometime i win somtimes i lose, either way I alone am responsible. ( this post is not a bash or endorsment and it is not directed at any specific poster, just my thoughts ) thanks for reading this post and good luck to all!!

You're not pumping Joe???

I just counted and you've made 98 posts on this thread up until this post. There has been 190 posts made overall thus far.

You've accounted for 51% of the posts on this thread alone...if that doesn't qualify for pumping, then I don't know what the hell does.

And just so you're wondering, no I'm not bashing PAPO...I like this one, I bought 25K worth this morning.

Hey Super I laid off on you because of misunderstanding once, but lay off Joe if he pumps he has winning picks to back up his pumping which is a lot more than I can say for most of the goonies in some of these stocks. If you want to see what he's in be professional about it and ask him. Don't be a deadbeat.

If you want to talk about posting percentage go to PAIM and count up how many posts you had in there with 7/11

PAPO has so many Form 4 filings (for insider dumping) i could not count them.

They have also recently printed 200M new shares.

PAPO only has tiny fractions of these wells.

Joe, please pump to us all why we should buy when all the officers are dumping shares and diluting.

Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.

Effective January 6, 2006, Pangea Petroleum Corp. ("Pangea") entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement with Christopher Scully under which it will acquire a 1.5% working interest in oil and gas leases located in Fort Bend County, Texas and a 2.5% working interest in oil and gas leases in Steuben County, New York. As consideration for the transaction, Pangea has agreed to issue 20,000,000 shares of its restricted common stock in consideration of the payment for the Fort Bend County, Texas and Steuben County, New York working interests. In addition, upon the occurrence of each project obtaining net monthly revenue to Pangea in excess of $1,000 per month, Pangea shall issue, for each project, 5,000,000 warrants to purchase common stock at a strike price of $0.015 per share to Mr. Scully. Pangea will receive the assignment of the working interest for the Fort Bend County leases after the costs of the purchase and drilling have been recouped from the sale of products from the fields' well. Pangea will receive the assignment of the working interest for the New York lease after production is established from any well drilled by the operator of the lease.

As part of the Asset Purchase Agreement, Mr. Scully will receive additional shares of restricted stock upon the closing of Pangea's acquisition or drilling of prospects introduced by Mr. Scully over the next two years. The restricted stock will be issued upon the closing of the acquisition or drilling of the additional prospects when the cumulative Pangea net monthly revenue from these prospects exceeds $25,000. Pursuant to this provision, Pangea acquired a 2.25% working interest in a project in White County, Illinois. As consideration, Pangea agreed to pay $18,675 for the initial 2.25% working interest participation which covers the drilling costs to the casing point.

Oil Price Touches Record Above $74 a Barrel Amid Concerns About Iran, U.S. Supplies

NEW YORK (AP) -- Crude-oil prices reached a new record above $74 a barrel Friday amid concern about Iran's nuclear ambitions and declining U.S. gasoline stocks.

U.S. pump prices also kept rising, with the average price of a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline at $2.855, up 3 cents from a day earlier and more than 60 cents higher than a year ago, according to AAA's daily fuel gauge report.

Pangea has identified additional prospects scheduled for drilling in 2006

If just one is a gusher!!! Ka ching!!!!!!

Aggregate market value of the voting common stock held by non-affiliates of the registrant as of March 8, 2006 was $3,078,964 Number of shares of the registrant's common stock outstanding as of March 8, 2006 was 266,059,538. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>> or this >>>>>>>>>>>>>Our continuing negative operating results have produced a working capital deficit of $487,381 at December 31, 2005. This is an increase compared to a working capital deficit of $392,054 at December 31, 2004, and reflects the additional loss from 2005 operations. The above factors represent a substantial improvement over year 2003 performance; however the net loss from continuing operations continues to raise doubt about our ability to fully establish ourselves as a going concern. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> how about this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>COMPARISON OF YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2005 TO YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2004.

Revenues were $57,360 in 2005 compared to revenue of $81,646 in 2004 reflecting a decrease of 64% or $24,286 in revenue in 2005. This decrease in revenue reflects a drop in production during the year that was partially offset by slightly higher contract oil and gas prices in 2005 versus 2004. During the fiscal year 2005 $101,046 was used for capital and exploratory expenditures compared to $178,157 in 2004 (using the successful effort method of accounting).

The $4,480 increase in the net loss from continuing operations to $542,737 for the year ended December 31, 2005 from $547,217 for the year ended December 31, 2004 is due to a few factors. Impairment of oil and gas properties decreased $172,763 in 2005. This was due to the dry hole costs recorded in 2004 for the drilled and abandoned wells of $195,742, while only $22,979 in dry hole costs and abandonment were recorded in 2005. This was partially offset by a decrease in other income reflected in 2004 and not received in 2005 and by a slight increase in Selling, General and Administrative including stock based compensation, which increased by $21,677 to $487,167 in 2005 compared to $465,490 in 2004. Also offsetting the improved dry hole cost were lease operating expenses increasing by $8,557 and DD&A increasing by $14,378 in 2005.

During the year ended December 31, 2005, we reported a net loss of $542,737 compared to a net profit of $927,924 for the year ended December 31, 2004. The net profit for the year ended December 31, 2004 was directly due to recognition in 2004 of a deferred gain on the 2002 sale of a discontinued exploration and production subsidiary, a non-recurring event.

If you ask me this is starting to look a lot like NDOL pattern,

Let see if tomorrow this stock will move up a big and make a "tightening" of the pps pattern seen in NDOL.

If that is the case than buy buy buy casue we will run as soon as Oil starts its next leg up.

prs can be good and bad, fluff ones are lame.. but a well directed pr with meaning means everything. they should wait until meaningful news comes along. I think that pps is stable at .032 from what I've seen with the rsi and charts. But, oil and gas companies are going to have to play pr's like a fine tuned guitar in the future because i dont think that we have even touched the oil and gas boom. the pennies that play their cards right will win over investor confidence and reep rewards.. Oil threatens near record level

Wednesday, May 3, 2006; Posted: 1:39 a.m. EDT (05:39 GMT)

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -- Oil rose to almost $75 a barrel on Wednesday, near record highs as mounting tension over Iran's nuclear plan compounded worries of global supply disruptions amid forecast of falling fuel stocks in the United States.

Well for one thing this is not a PR generating stock. The last thing I see is a form 10kSB annual report filed on March 31 and it was not the most uplifting.
Than before that on March 4th DUNCAN SCOTT E files Form 4, Statement of Changes in Beneficial Ownership of PANGEA PETROLEUM
The last PR put out by papo was Feb 8th

Hey real,

Gotta look at the future.
PAPO has lots of scheduled drillings in 2006 accorrding to news. If one update is a gusher, watch out baby!!!!!

Joe

Vacation travel season and Hurricane Season!!

Active Hurricane Season Predicted for 2006

Pangea is a publicly traded company listed on the OTC
Electronic Bulletin Board under the symbol "PAPO". The
Company is an independent energy company focused on
exploration and development of oil and natural gas
reserves, whose core business is directed to the
development of oil and gas prospects in proven onshore
production areas. Pangea is pursuing a development
program designed to achieve profitability by
distributing risk across multiple oil and gas
projects. Pangea diversifies its risk by carefully
identifying prospects that fit within strict
parameters and by taking a minority working interest
in each project. The Company devotes essentially all
of it resources to development of revenue producing
activities by keeping its overhead at a minimum level
through the retention of carefully selected
consultants, contractors and service companies.

Pangea is working to create shareholder value by using
capital and proven technology to exploit energy
prospects that are of minor interest to larger
companies due to their size and location. The Company
invests in projects at different levels of
participation, generally as a minority owner, such
that daily operating responsibility is in the hands of
experienced, high quality partners and contractors.
Producing properties may be resold as appropriate to
establish and maintain optimum asset value.

History
We are a Colorado corporation founded in 1997. We
changed our name to Pangea Petroleum Corporation in
1998 to more accurately reflect the business of the
Company. In 1999, the Company moved their corporate
headquarters to Houston Texas as part of the new
strategic focus on energy.
Pangea currently has no subsidiaries. Pangea had
acquired a subsidiary, Mass Energy, in October of
2000; however, this subsidiary was unprofitable and
was sold in September of 2002.

Business Plan
Pangea Petroleum intends to grow shareholder value by
creating wealth from their investments in carefully
selected energy projects. As part of this emphasis,
Pangea has formed an advisory committee who will
evaluate and approve all proposed investments.
The Company will focus on its basic strategy of
investing in projects with proven reserves that can be
improved through additional capital and or technology.
We will utilize procedures such as workovers,
re-completions and in field drilling to meet this
goal. Additionally, the Company will participate in
carefully selected exploration projects based on a
well thought out risk analysis based on high quality
data, nearby production and financial projections.
Additionally, we intend to invest in or purchase other
projects with good reserves but that are non-strategic
for their current owners. The current industry climate
is judged to be conducive to investments in
under-capitalized, technology-starved projects and in
purchasing smaller non-strategic projects, most
frequently in conjunction with partners. Pangea will
invest in each project to a degree that will ensure
that while they might have a minority interest,
Pangea’s interests must be considered by governing and
control groups such as operating committees and in
select cases when resources permit and the project is
judged to be strategic assume management control.

You know the good thing about holding these gas/oil stocks? When they go down, you pay less at your local gas station, so you feel good about that.

When gas prices rise, it makes you frustrated at the pumps, but you feel good about your stock going up.

Win win! LOL

Oil rises toward $73 on gasoline fears
Thursday May 11, 4:51 am ET
By Yaw Yan Chong

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Oil climbed toward $73 on Thursday as dealers fretted that strong U.S. gasoline demand and outages at two refineries may quickly drain rising inventories.

U.S. light crude gained 50 cents to $72.63 a barrel by 0752 GMT, after rising by $1.44 on Wednesday. London Brent crude (LCOc1) rose 61 cents to $73.05 a barrel.

Oil rises above $70 after two-day drop

By Alex Lawler 2 hours, 47 minutes ago

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil rose above $70 a barrel on Tuesday, rebounding from a sell-off the previous day that sent prices across commodity markets tumbling from record or near-record highs.
