based on accumulation that has taken place. They will never run a stock directly up.. most of the time they will let it dip several times to shake loose more shares. In addition there is still a lot of MM buying taking place at these levels... MM's arent going to buy to lose money.

Man, there's some serious buzz about this stock! Volume is strong, and even though the volume has fallen off the last day or two from that huge volume day a couple days ago, the PPS is holding its ground.

I think its dangerous to flip at this point. Do you think the factory would be commissioned if the company didn't get NAFDAC approval, absolutely not. I believe the company has the approval and is just waiting to release it with hopefully some figures. We should all thank sites like these we got this news ahead of time. So far Southpick guys predictions are right on could possibly see .26 cents easily in the near future.

XKEM ---alot of accumaltion has been going the last few weeks. IMO this stock is gonna explode soon. I'm hoping for a 10 bagger from these levels short term. Been a great stock to daytrade as well, everytime it dips it goes right back up. This news that has not been put out as a pr yet is huge!!

President Olusegun Obasanjo will by June launch NIPRISAN (HEMOXIN(TM)), the locally produced drug for sickle cell disorder. PATIENCE OGBE Abuja
The president will also use the occasion to commission Xechem International Inc. factory in the country in a move seen as a landmark investment in Nigeria. The company owns the exclusive rights to NIPRISAN
The drug NIPRISAN (HEMOXIN(TM), which is at present, undergoing final stage of registration with NAFDAC is a phyto-pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of patients suffering from Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). SCD is an insidious and painful genetic blood disorder often resulting in death at an early age.
Science and Technology Minister, Turner Isoun who disclosed this in Abuja noted that location of the factory in Nigeria would further crash the price of sickle cell drugs in Nigeria.
Isoun stated that Niprisan (HEMOXIN(TM)) was a drug cocktail, with phyto-pharmaceutical composition of four traditional plants extracted in a proprietary process. The licensor of the technology is the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) in Abuja, Nigeria.
Nigeria is said to have the highest sickle cell disease population in the world ranging from four to six million representing roughly three to five percent of the country's population.
Isoun spoke at the inaugural meeting of the Ministers’ Council for the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) where he also called on the government to involve more laboratories for the control and analysis of the bird flu menace.
On the situation of bio technology in Nigeria, he called on the stockholding agencies to ensure that Nigeria benefits from the judicious and safe use of modern biotechnology.
"Biotech is a gold mine and important to this nation. Almost every Nigerian is affected by the operations of biotech. To be able to achieve all these, we will require the concerted political will and a focused leadership drive. It is therefore the collective responsibility of all of us key stakeholders of modern biotechnology to join forces in realizing this vision.
It is my belief that this collective mission will not jeopardize our separate mandates but will promote the effective coordination of our effort towards achieving the same ultimate goal."
To achieve the nation’s targets in biotech, the Director General of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), Bamidele Solomon called for the establishment of biotechnology development fund.
The fund, he stressed, could help the nation support competent researches and be ready to tackle problems like the bird flu.
He also disclosed that Nigeria in collaboration with Trinity Biotech of the Republic of Ireland will establish a facility at SHESTCO Abuja for the production of test kits for HIV/AIDS and other diseases like HB, malaria and so on.
He added that the Federal Government has approved the sum of $28 million as counterpart commitment for the project.
He also spoke of Nigeria’s collaboration with Shantha Biotechnics Limited of India for the establishment a facility for the production of Hepatitis B vaccine and other vaccines for related diseases like typhoid, polio, DTP and related ailments.
"Government approved the sum of N10 Million in the 2004 capital budget to support carrying out of a detailed feasibility study and fulfilling other MoU requirement."

Acquiring this compound bolsters Xechem’s portfolio, which already includes a license from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Ministry of Health, Government of Nigeria, for the manufacture, marketing, and distribution of NICOSAN/HEMOXIN, an all natural, phyto-pharmaceutical product that has also shown enormous promise for SCD, according to Xechem. NICOSAN/HEMOXIN has been granted an “Orphan Drug” status by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Union’s regulatory body. The company is currently preparing an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for submission to the FDA and EU agencies. ''We know of no existing non-toxic medicines available anywhere in the world for the effective treatment of Sickle Cell Disease,” said Dr. Ramesh C. The lawsuit, filed two years ago, stemmed from Xechem’s allegations that Bristol Myers “had engaged in anti-competitive practices relating to Xechem’s efforts to manufacture and bring to market the drug paclitaxel, a generic equivalent to Bristol’s cancer drug, TAXOL ®.” The settlement, according to Dr. Pandey, will further his company’s plans to launch its sickle cell drug. “The settlement with Bristol Myers could not have come at a better time for Xechem,” he said. All,
I can't find the links again but last week I was researching Sickle Cell and Nigeria. Last year the Nigerian gov had a huge conference and they outlined their goals for 2005/2006.
In those goals... They wanted to appoint someone in office to handle such types of drugs and head up the whole pharm approval process.
Also... If you check our Doc's last name of Xchem, you will see many last names the same in gov positions over seas. Not sure if they are related, but it can't hurt. :-)
Sickle cell is some nasty stuff and here in the states it just falls by the way side because it mostly effects african americans (not much US interest from big money).... But in Nigeria, it's a whole different story.
If someone finds the link to that report, please post it... I will continue to try and find it again.

NIPRISAN® did not appear to affect the risk of severe complications or the level of anaemia. No serious adverse effects were reported.

I'm out guys.
I think the PPS will retrace a bit tomorrow, as I think it's a bit overbought. Heavy resistance at 0.029, which we saw today, and any support is down there a ways.
It is good that it closed above yesterdays range, but I see it running out of steam.
Just my opinion, of course. I could be wrong, and I wish you guys luck who are looking for a gapper tomorrow, but don't forget to take those profits!

Anybody have any target prices on this? I got a few shares of this a while ago at .0146 and held onto it during the last rally thinking it would easily crest 0.35 when it lost steam at about .027. Still think it's a good buy with a high flip potential, esp. with all the PRs on the horizon, but the MMs are really playing with this

Does anybody (besides me) have shares of FMLY and XKEM. It's remarkable how they both move. When one moves (up or down), the other one has a similar pattern a couple of days later. Eventually things settle and they end up at the same price.

I can't recall his precise words, but Steve indicated that construction of the production facility has been ongoing for some time, that it is almost finished, and all that remains is to add a few items of equipment. My impression was that the key event will be the final approval of HEMOXIN, and that the facility should be ready for porduction at that time.

The drug NIPRISAN (HEMOXIN(TM), which is at present, undergoing final stage of registration with NAFDAC is a phyto-pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of patients suffering from Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). SCD is an insidious and painful genetic blood disorder often resulting in death at an early age.
Science and Technology Minister, Turner Isoun who disclosed this in Abuja noted that location of the factory in Nigeria would further crash the price of sickle cell drugs in Nigeria.
Isoun stated that Niprisan (HEMOXIN(TM)) was a drug cocktail, with phyto-pharmaceutical composition of four traditional plants extracted in a proprietary process. The licensor of the technology is the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) in Abuja, Nigeria.
Nigeria is said to have the highest sickle cell disease population in the world ranging from four to six million representing roughly three to five percent of the country's population.
Isoun spoke at the inaugural meeting of the Ministers’ Council for the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) where he also called on the government to involve more laboratories for the control and analysis of the bird flu menace.
On the situation of bio technology in Nigeria, he called on the stockholding agencies to ensure that Nigeria benefits from the judicious and safe use of modern biotechnology.
"Biotech is a gold mine and important to this nation. Almost every Nigerian is affected by the operations of biotech. To be able to achieve all these, we will require the concerted political will and a focused leadership drive. It is therefore the collective responsibility of all of us key stakeholders of modern biotechnology to join forces in realizing this vision.
It is my belief that this collective mission will not jeopardize our separate mandates but will promote the effective coordination of our effort towards achieving the same ultimate goal."
To achieve the nation’s targets in biotech, the Director General of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), Bamidele Solomon called for the establishment of biotechnology development fund.
The fund, he stressed, could help the nation support competent researches and be ready to tackle problems like the bird flu.
He also disclosed that Nigeria in collaboration with Trinity Biotech of the Republic of Ireland will establish a facility at SHESTCO Abuja for the production of test kits for HIV/AIDS and other diseases like HB, malaria and so on.
He added that the Federal Government has approved the sum of $28 million as counterpart commitment for the project.
He also spoke of Nigeria’s collaboration with Shantha Biotechnics Limited of India for the establishment a facility for the production of Hepatitis B vaccine and other vaccines for related diseases like typhoid, polio, DTP and related ailments.

It's been quiet lately. Calm before the storm? I'm holding 790K * .018 avg. and can't decide if I should average down some more. I picked up quite a bit * .016 thinking that was the bottom, but I was wrong. Whats the boards feelings?

I'm averaged to 100k at .0158, thinking about averaging down, so if you have the cash, I'd do it.
If it makes you feel any better, I picked up a bunch of my shares at .02 thinking it was a short pull-back. I was lucky enough to buy some at .01 before the burst (2/3's of which I sold for .028).
Hold on, I'm pretty sure this stock will see .03-.05 by late spring.

That is the article in which Turner Isoun is quoted as saying that President Obasanjo will commission the Xechem factory and launch NIPRISAN (NICOSAN TM) "by June." Questions have arisen as to the authenticiy of those quotes by Mr. Isoun.
was written by Peter Egwuatu, a reputable journalist who writes about business matters in Nigeria.
Mr. Egwuatu quotes not only Mr. Isoun (who recommends that Nigerians invest in Xechem), but also President Obasanjo (who praises Xechem and NICOSAN).
Reading these articles together, I believe that it is clearly a question of "when," not "whether," NICOSAN will be registered by NAFDAC and launched at the SHESTCO facility.
I have never before owned a stock that was so openly recommended as an investment by the national government. Folks, registration by NAFDAC is a done deal.
I was able to double my position in this today. We just need it to go up, up, and away.

With 259.69 million shares outstanding and an undisclosed short position, there is no longer a failure to deliver in shares of XKEM.

Stock and this board have been pretty quiet. Hopefully when the 10-ksb is released, they'll have some updates to report. Holding 675K shares and waiting for news.

ok, fellow board members. whats the take on the 10-ksb? I haven't decided if I'm going to buy more on this latest drop. I'll probably sit on the sidelines today and just watch the action.
