CALI HOLDINGS INC Quick Quote: CALI 0.00 (Even)

CALI Holdings, Inc. Signs Letter of Intent
10/6/2005

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct 06, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
CALI Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:CALI) announced today that it decided to strategically focus its best business efforts on financing the recovery of the cargo from shipwrecks that are valuable for both their historical and cash values.

Management performed extensive due diligence on the fundamentals of this unique business sector and specific recovery sites to evaluate the financial benefits for its shareholders. It was determined that there is room for significant improvement in earnings per share for stockholders by addressing some fundamental business issues that can establish some stability in ocean cargo recoveries and position CALI as the worldwide leader.

To date, the industry has been constrained with limited inventory, legal issues, and the costs of researching and locating valuable opportunities for recovery. Since capital investment has not been aligned with efficient recovery, poor and unsustainable ROIs are common. Many companies have made significant equipment and technology investment without supporting the investment with solid business techniques including project flow, risk mitigation and an organizational structure that will allow for scaling of the business. CALI will address these issues through acquisitions and the addition of experienced management.

CALI's analysis shows that there are billions of dollars of lost cargos that can now be economically recovered because of new technological breakthroughs in site sensing and deepwater recovery, developed primarily for the offshore oil industry. Other publicly traded US companies in cargo recovery include Odyssey Marine Recovery at $4.00 per share (AMEX:OMR) with a market capitalization of approximately $170 million and Admiralty at $0.15 per share (OTCBB:RUBM) with a market capitalization of approximately $8 million.

CALI has signed a letter of intent to acquire a company with extensive experience and is currently funding the recovery of cargo from several important shipwrecks. CALI plans to finish spinning out its other businesses in order to focus the Company exclusively in cargo recovery to provide its shareholders with a maximum return on investment.

CALI???? You've gotta be kidding me. I see on OTCBB.com that the O/S IS listed as 432,030,283. With CALI's death spiral I was certain that it would be in the billions. I guess I was wrong.

I would still be very very careful. CALI has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth. I lost 50% before I got out of this one. I see PPS isn't really moving much. You gotta admit that "looking for treasure lost at sea" sounds like a re-hashed scam from the early 1900's.

I see only green here when the name of the acquisition is revealed and I take it from the PR that a spin off is in order as well! There sitting at about 1/8 of there asset value right now with a market cap that does this company no justice at all! Looks to me like the MMs were in the process of writing this one off and they just got caught in there own game!

Where do you guys honestly see this stock going? I have been watching this for some time now and decided to buy some today.

Posted by gohigh on :

Here's my take. This stock has nowhere to go but up (literally). Anybody holding long term who wanted to get out already did. I mean, the thing hit .0002 yesterday! It CAN'T go lower than ZERO. Therefore, there are only buyers at this point. Now some people will take a quick gain making a few hundred dollars here and there, but most people are going to hold on for the big one.

Posted by clintonj on :

+Knowing this co like i do and its recent past pps history, this is the" big one" many bought the last few days at 3 and then selling today. a retracement back to .0002/.0003 is in order before a gradual move upwards with short lived break outs in between

Should we buy more at .0003 rickpic?? I realize there are a lot of shorts in this stock, but shouldn't they be covering at the bottom here? They can't short it below ZERO which is the absoulte limit, but there is NO limit on the upside. Come on 1$! Almost 1/2 a billion shares traded today.

I will quote the COO!

"There is a very aggressive PR campain coming"

"The web site is being worked on and will have many many pictures of sites being worked and artifacts that have been recovered and will be available for auction"

"One of the salvage companies has been working for 2 years and the other for 5 years and no auction of the salvage that they have brought up has been held as yet"

"The guys running the day to day salvage opperation have over 25 yrs in the salvage buisness and are very good at locating and recovering historic artifacts"

I could go on and on but I'll let someone else call he COO and report here as well! [Smile]

Posted by rickpic on :

prefect the COO says the O/S has not changed so yes I would say they are very very short as of today! [Smile]

Posted by rickpic on :

prefect they filled me for 19m at .0004 in the last 10 minutes of the day and I raised my bid to .0005 and got another 5m I had bought 10 at .0004 earlier, and prior to talking to the COO!

btw, where are you getting this after the close sales info? (i.e. this 16:02:41 buy you speak of)

Posted by gohigh on :

Tech1, I'd love to hold this to 1$ and retire also. However, if it hits even 0.1, the temptation to sell for a profit is going to be VERY high. How many of us have that much disipline? I'm going to hang on to my shares. Good luck if you're in.

i think this is just the begenning of the move here cause the new business they are in have a lot of potential .and from what i have posted on another board:
READ about the value of CALI:the two companies mentionned by the CEO are OMR and RUBM with respective market capitals of 130 MILLION and 8 million !!!
LET us consider the worst case scenario which is our oustanding shares = authorised shares=2 billion shares.
and let us consider also the worse case scenario a 10 million market cap for CALI that will bring us to a price per share of 0.005 .
those companies are money makers check the news on OMR or RUBM and you will get to see that they have very potential news.

Johnny

I talked to the new COO of the NEW company yesterday afternoon, for quite some time, and I asked specificaly about the O/S and was told that the O/S has not changed since the last filing. That leaves the O/S lower than what was traded yesterday. Outstanding as of September 18th, 2005 432,030,283! This is way over sold and way undervalued, right now! I have posted 2 other posts with quotes from the COO here and you should find them and read them as well! [Smile]

Posted by rickpic on :

Jm

the PR states very clearly what the new company is made up of.

Sovereign Exploration Associates International Inc. (SEAI), a marine exploration company headquartered in Pennsylvania. SEAI, a privately held company, was recently formed through the merger of Sea Research, Inc., and Artifact Recovery & Conservation, Inc.

I don't have any idea where you are getting the numbers you posted above from, but they were both private companies so you didn't get them from any filing!

Once again I say "refer to my prior posts with quotes from the NEW COO of the company!"

Sea Research, Inc., Has been in buisness for 2 yrs and has been diving on wrecks and recovering artifacts most of that time!

Artifact Recovery & Conservation, Inc., Has been in buisness for 5 yrs and also has been recovering artifacts for most of that time.

What we own is a mother company that controls both. There has been no sale of artifacts recovered so far, and they have been diving on and were diving on 2 wrecks yesterday!

They control 15 historic wrecks that date back 200 plus years, and that have Gold, Silver, or precious artifacts of historic value!

The COO said there is a lot of PR coming to get shareholders up to speed with what they have and what there doing!

rick,

how long do you think you will hold this? what is your exit strategy?

thanks.

Posted by rickpic on :

Don't know but I will make a profit when I sell!

Posted by WarpedMind on :

that's a good strategy.

generally, historically, it appears that my strategy is to lose money... I'm gonna have to rethink this. :-)

Warped some people sell 2/3 on the 1st breakout and hold the rest for free or sell the balance (1/3) when it moves higher still looking for additional gains...then again some of us just go down with the ship named "hope she'll go back up"

Posted by WarpedMind on :

Thanks for the ideas, Clinton. What do you think that this stock will do?

Posted by gohigh on :

What usually happens is if you take the quick 10%, 20%, or 30% gain, the thing ends up going up 1300% or something. And of course, if you hold out for the big one, you usually end up kicking yourself when it goes up 50% and then goes back below what you paid for it.

ah... sounds like you've been where i am.

I think we all have, Warped. Greed and fear is what drives the market. Always has, always will.

WTH? Stalled at 5 and back to 4. Is there that much resistance to leaving 5? I saw ARCA dropped his ask.

Looks like we have some end of the day buying going on here! [Smile]

Finishing at 5 on pretty average volume would be a good end to the week.

Posted by gohigh on :

Yes, it is stalled. We're going to need some patience on this one. And I've reread all the posts on this thread and am optimistic. This company is not dead in the water, so to speak, like so many other companies trading at under .01. Remember, the sky is the limit on the upside, and it's almost as close to ZERO as it can get. Good trading.

Rickpic, which online broker do you use?

I've been trying to sell some shares for about an hour at .0005 and can't get them to go. Wish they would buy mine.

No, this company is definitely NOT dead in the water.
And even though it has sunk to some pretty low depths, I think we will be able to salvage more than we put into it if we just suck it up. I just treasure all the support here.

So ricpick, according to your own numbers, you now own 8.3% of all the shares!? You're pulling some weight with this company now my friend.

I've only been following this company for a month, but it looks to me like CALI was trading around .05 just six months ago (compared to .0005!) That was a 100 times where it is today! I can only guess that bad news brought this stock down. So come on everyone, let's bring that booty up!!!

Sub Sea Research team finds Notre Dame de Deliverance treasure wreck
Powered by CDNN NewsWire

PORTLAND, Maine (5 Aug 2005) -- Underwater explorers who've examined the wreck say their research indicates that it's the Notre Dame de Deliverance — a 166-foot, armed merchant vessel of French origin. The research includes surveys of the site by state-of-the-art remote sensing devices, ROV's and divers, a study of historical records, and the discovery that a few silver items — including a crucifix, plate and some coins — were brought up years ago by other salvagers. Recent underwater video footage is now being analyzed to determine the best procedure for recovery.

Greg Brooks and John Hardy of the Sub Sea Research states "It was one of the richest ships ever lost," they estimate the value of the Deliverance's trove could be between $2 billion and $3 billion. The Deliverance departed Havana on Halloween with an armed escort of seven or eight smaller, schooner-like vessels according to Brooks' research in Cuba and elsewhere. The ship soon met a fate that Brooks now believes was remarkably similar to what befell the Atocha and its hapless crew in surrounding waters 133 years earlier.

The hurricane struck the night after the ship left Havana, its eye passing over Havana to the southwest. The escorting ships reportedly were able to survive the storm and sailed across the outer reefs to eventually anchor on the northwest side of the Marquesas Keys to ride out the storm until the following morning, according to a research report prepared by Brooks and Sub Sea researcher Edward Michaud.

An incomplete manifest of the Deliverance cargo that was on board at the time of sinking declares those riches to include 17 chests packed with nearly 1,200 pounds of gold bullion, 15,000 gold doubloons, six chests of gems, and more than a million silver pieces. That doesn't count contraband or any valuable belongings of passengers.

Before he hunted sunken treasure, Brooks built swimming pools for a living. Over a decade ago, after 19 years in that business, he cashed out to find his fortune. Brooks' principal partner and fellow investor is John Hardy, a former National Aeronautics and Space Administration engineer who currently runs a La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in South Portland.

Brooks says he's personally spent a million dollars so far in the hunt for treasure that he believes has led him to the Deliverance. He's helped make ends meet doing salvage work for insurance companies. Brooks, who is married and has an 18-year-old daughter, has plans to create a shipwreck museum and aquarium in Portland.

Sub Sea Research's primary recovery vessel is the 105-foot M/V Diamond, a converted U.S. Navy torpedo retriever that's currently docked on Stock Island near Key West.

now at .0004. Man, I wish I had some cash to buy more.

Posted by crockett on :

Hey guys I was looking to jump in this one as my fist buy. I'm looking to spend about $250 on this stock.

I see the bid price is now at 0.0004 so that would roughly put me at 625000 shares if my math is right.

What I'm wondering is, when trying to buy I'm having to put a limit price in. What would I need to enter as that price to be able to buy?

would I put the bid price?

Posted by clintonj on :

you could try for .0004 but probably won't get filled for aday or more. if you are impatient you will get filled at .0005 now!

Posted by crockett on :

ok that's what I wasn't sure about I was guessing .0005 would probably get it filled but I'm not on the up and up on how everything works yet.

thanks for the reply

btw this one is down -20.00 now, so you think there is a chance it could get filled at .0004?

Posted by tech1 on :

There's a chance, but I think it's slim; there are a lot of people ahead of you with a .0004 bid.

Posted by WarpedMind on :

Think there will be any movement upwards today? Any news or anything planned that anyone knows of?

Posted by tech1 on :

The .0005 wall doesn't look very big right now. I think if that breaks, there will be some big movement. I don't know of any news, but if they come across a sunken ship, or if the company referred to in Rick's post is part of CALI, I think that would help a lot. Bottom line...Rick's heavy in this, I've got a couple million shares, and I know several others on this board are in as well: I expect some good movement in the next couple of days.

Posted by rickpic on :

There are going to be only a handfull of lucky shareholders owning the lions share of what is available in the float of this company. 432m is what was outstanding as of last Thursday per the Chief Opperating Officer of Sovereign Exp Inc and they had to control 51% of that in order to exicute the recent sale of 90% of the shares from CALI to Sovereign without a public proxy which leaves ony 216m or less shares in the float, of which I own 35,810,000 (So Far) now do the math to see whats left. By the way I also know others who are holding 10m+ shares and will not sell at this level. So when I say enjoy the chase its because no matter what the MMs show for a PPS. I know that the shares available to us are almost gone from the float. ARCA little game this AM with jumping the ask with 9 MMs on the BID at the same PPS is why it dropped and ARCA's client (buyer) will be buying everything offered at .0004 I suspect, but slowly so that those who are weak will continue to give them up at that PPS!

C.B. wreck hunters
reveal treasures
Riches worth hundreds of millions in waters near Sable Island

By TERA CAMUS / Cape Breton Bureau

MAIN-A-DIEU - A share of sunken treasure recovered off the coast of Cape Breton this summer was handed over to the province Friday.

Officials with Le Chameau Explorations Ltd., a treasure hunting company based in Cape Breton, delivered dozens of precious gold, silver and copper items, including coins, sword handles, silverware, crosses and pieces of ships. The items were recovered during the summer from several wreck sites off Cape Breton and near Sable Island.

"These wrecks are worth hundreds of millions," a soft-spoken Capt. Bob MacKinnon of Le Chameau Explorations said last week in his lab.

Nearby, staff and marine archeologists quietly and carefully packed the goods recovered so far for shipment.

The treasure was discovered in 2002 from an area that some treasure hunters have called the richest shipwreck site in the world.

Mr. MacKinnon said parts of Nova Scotia's coastline are among the richest in the world based on the number of wrecks, estimated to be in the thousands.

The province takes a 10 per cent share of all goods recovered from such wrecks. Le Chameau Explorations and its shareholders get the rest to sell at auction houses, mostly in Europe or the United States.

This summer's find included newly minted New England gold coins from the 1700s. The coins, the size of a loonie, were found near a French wreck containing gold coin lost in the 1800s when heading for Louisbourg.

Some of the gold coins, which glistened on the counter in Mr. MacKinnon's lab, are in near-perfect condition, except for a few dings along the edges.

While the coins are in good shape, time is taking its toll on other treasure, some of which is at risk of being forever lost on the ocean floor.

"It's a very harsh environment," Mr. MacKinnon said of the sea.

"Most sites are covered with heavy stone, some as big as this building. The sea can easily pick up stone the size of this building and move it."

Marine archeologist Duncan Matthewson of Florida said Nova Scotia's southern and eastern waters are full of wrecks because of the low shoal that follows the rugged shoreline.

"They can't survive very long," he said of the wooden vessels that wrecked in the harshest of seas.

"Every recovery tells us about the ship and the maritime history of the area. . . . Some sites are not just one ship, but there may be as many as three ships from different periods so we're trying to work out the sequence of events. . . . It's like being like Sherlock Holmes under water."

To continue its treasure hunting, the company plans to hire another 50 workers next summer to join the staff of 20, which includes many scientists like James Sinclair, the first archeologist to visit the Titanic when she was found.

Next summer, Mr. MacKinnon's company, along with American parent Sovereign Marine Explorations, hopes to get the green light from the province to begin searching several other sites as well, including that of the 1822 wreck of L'Africaine near Sable Island.

That ship arrived in Martinique on Oct. 17, 1821, and departed for France loaded with riches, mostly gold and silver bullion, at the time she sank months later.

They also plan to go after the wreck of the steamer ship State of Virginia, lost in July 1874, along with her sizable stash of gold and silver, some of which has already been recovered near Sable Island.

The team also plans to continue piecing together the history of Le Chameau - the ship from which some of this summer's treasure was recovered. The wreck of the French pay ship is mixed in with the remains of two other colonial-era ships, one of which was Le Triton.

Le Triton, owned by the Spanish, was captured with its riches when heading for Spain near Nantucket Island, Mass., on July 4, 1711, by the English frigates Kingston and Leostoff. According to historic documents, Admiral Hovenden Walker, commander of the British fleet, sent orders to not proceed to Britain with the prize capture but instead stay near Cape Breton to await orders.

Seven of 11 ships sent by the admiral to patrol Cape Breton that month in September were lost in storms between Main-a-Dieu and Louisbourg. Some of the goods sent Friday were positively identified as belonging to the Triton.

Among the wreck sites the company has pinpointed for recovery next year includes an area near St. Paul Island that's believed to hold rare gold coins and other precious goods stolen from the White House during the War of 1812.

"If we can get to it (the Washington wreck site) . . . items recovered below could go up over $1 billion in value," Mr. MacKinnon said with a smile.

According to historians, British forces in the war ransacked the national capital and burned the White House, but not before filling several of their ships with riches for the return voyage home.

Many of those ships heading overseas stopped in Halifax but were lost in heavy storms just south or east of the province.

Do you guys have any idea what artifact from the original WHITE HOUSE would be worth today? If not you should think about just what kind of news this is both financialy and historicly! [Smile]

Posted by crockett on :

Chasing sunken treasure can be a very costly venture. I've personally worked on a boat that was part of the discovery of the St Johns Wreck in the Bahama's.

So sometimes you can win big but still lose as in the wreck above. No real treasure but it was a great historical find.

One thing is nice about these wrecks is the Spanish kept meticulous records on what was aboard these vessels. You can literally go to historical libraries and look up a lot of the data about these ships, assuming you know the name of it.

I think they are well beyond the chase stage here as they have recovered artifacts and assesed values on 15 wrecks that they hold claim to!
