Burt Reynolds and Raquel Welch Film ''Forget About It'' Settles Legal Disputes
Monday July 25, 10:10 am ET

HOLLYWOOD--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2005--Big Screen Entertainment (OTC:BSEG - News) announces a resolution has been reached with Michael Paloma and Red Rock Entertainment regarding the feature film, "Forget About It." BSEG and Red Rock have now resolved all legal disputes involving both companies.

Founder and former CEO, Producer/Director BJ Davis, has worked close with BSEG President Kimberley Kates to stabilize the company for its investors and film properties. Davis stated, "Since all legal disputes have now been resolved, 'Forget About It' is now unfettered and ready for worldwide release."

"Forget About It," a feature film starring Academy Award nominee Burt Reynolds and Raquel Welch, reuniting the two stars after a thirty year hiatus, has been likened to "Grumpy Old Men" and "Analyze This." "Grumpy Old Men" grossed $200 million worldwide, while "Analyze This" did $177 million in sales. Davis stated, "I expect 'Forget About It' to be a strong competitor in all media markets and has an unlimited potential for being a box office success." Burt Reynolds' recent success with Paramount Studios' "The Longest Yard" and the highly anticipated, "Dukes of Hazzard" will highlight the September 2005 release of "Forget About It."

CEO Kates commented, "Our sole focus now is the delivery of film and television productions as commercial properties that will solidify the growth, development and viability of BSEG."

BSEG is preparing for the American Film Market in November, where the company will sell and exhibit its production lineup which includes the supernatural thriller, "Angel's Blood," and "Tow Truck" from the horror genre, a thrilling murder mystery entitled "The Mirror" and the pulp, crime drama, "Tool Girls."

Other completed BSEG projects slated for 2005 release are the films "Dirty Love" co-produced with DoubleDown Entertainment and "Lightfield's Home Video" with Giovanni Ribisi, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Juliette Lewis.

Hi all - Some of you send us questions that we are not able to answer on this Forum as we are limited to making sure we do not cross any lines with any information and your questions ask for specifics which we can only release in PR's.

As far as our films releases go, please see the press releases. Here is some info from the press releases if you haven't read them: Dirty Love is tentatively scheduled for a theatrical release at the end of September. Foreign sales have been underway for several months with Wild Bunch handling all foreign sales. It's doing well. Domestic distribution deal is in place and it is only a matter of waiting for lawyers to wrap up this deal so we can announce. All the advertising and marketing is being worked on and almost ready to go.

Forget About It is scheduled to be delivered in September as well. We will be able to announce more specific information as deals are solidified.

Lightfield's Home Videos is looking fantastic. It's a wonderful story with the biggest cast of actors of any of our projects.

Big Screen Entertainment Group and Double Down Entertainment Announce Theatrical Release Set for Sundance Hit 'Dirty Love'
Wednesday August 3, 9:45 am ET

HOLLYWOOD--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 2005--Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC: BSEG - News) and Double Down Entertainment have a domestic distribution deal with First Look Studios for Jenny McCarthy's "Dirty Love." Director John Asher's comedy opens in theaters in the United States Sept. 23, 2005. International distribution is also well under way by the French-based Wild Bunch International.

"Dirty Love" premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and was an immediate favorite among the film-going audiences and professionals in attendance. The film was invited to the prestigious U.S. HBO Comedy and Arts Festival in March and was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival this past May.

Big Screen CEO Kimberley Kates said, "We are all excited about the upcoming theatrical release for 'Dirty Love.' Everyone involved in the production has worked hard to bring this commercial comedy to the big screen with great expectations for its box office success. In the Jenny McCarthy tradition, she is stunningly beautiful and outrageously funny in her stellar performance."

"Dirty Love" stars Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Victor Webster, Kathy Griffin and Kam Heskin. The film also features the rock band Sum 41. McCarthy, who currently hosts "Party at the Palms" for E! Entertainment, also penned the romantic comedy and recently received the "Hottest New Screenwriter" Award from Movieline Magazine for her work on "Dirty Love."

I got screwed by these clowns with a reverse split...not going there again......

Posted by tic_toc on :

Fair enough. Can't see them R/S anytime soon though with an O/S of currently less than 30 million . As long as I can keep track of the O/S and the rate of dilution I should be pretty much prepared for any such splits, and they don't seem to be diluting the crap out of the stock.

They have an investors forum on thier website and seem open to questions. They have also changed the board of directors since the R/S and seem to have settled any legal disputes. 2 Films to be released in the next 2 months. To me this looks good. But this is only my opinion.

Thomas - There are approx. 24 million shares in the float and 800,000 restricted shares.

We are very sorry for what happened with previous management and the past Reverse Split. We understand it was very upsetting for a lot of people.

We have no intention at this time of doing another Reverse Split.

Okay, Dukes of Hazard opened this weekend, with Burt Reynolds who is also starring in BSEG's Forget About It, due for release in September (I think).

Dukes of Hazard grossed 30 million dollars this weekend alone.

BSEG currently has a market cap of less than 1.8 million dollars.

With three films featuring major stars (Reynolds, Raquel Welch, Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra etc) due for release, does nobody else think this stock undervalued?

Hi Tic tToc, et al,
I was about to create a BSEG board, but see you have one. The old BVHJ board seems to have disappeared. Just as well.
I've been buying shares the last few months. After following all the drama this company has passed through in the last year, I've seen the new management make a real effort to settle all the old disputes and get the company under control and move forward again. Disputes are settled and documented on both sides. The old president has moved on to new ventures and their stalemate is long broken, and he even went back to location in Hoboken (strictly as a hired gun) to shoot the additional needed footage for the Burt Reynolds movie "FAI" on which he was the director, and which they are now getting ready for delivery. They are keeping an open line to investors through their company website boards which are updated almost daily, and questions, even the hard ones, are addressed professionally and sincerely. I think the new management is no joke, and they seem determined to build a going concern. I urge everyone to visit their message board, where they just posted their precise share count and answered questions about how they got there and what they are doing with them. The count is down to 32M !!! and still under 10 cents, with TWO movies with major stars coming out in SEPTEMBER, just a few weeks away. I believe they are making a go of it. I know past investors got burned by previous management, but the diffference between the old and new management is very tangible, like night and day in how they are communicating and fostering trust with the current investors. I believe them, and am following them closely. (Disclosure: I wasn't around for the r/s so I didn't get burned.) I will try to go to one of the upcoming screenings, as they have openly said may have room for BSEG investors who express interest. A lot is happening and most of it good. You couldn't say that about them a year ago, when nothing was happening and most of it was crrisis. Night and day, IMO.

I've been in contact with Special Ops Media and they are working on getting the full Dirty Love website up first week in September. They are first rate and I urge everyone to look at their client list which includes 20th Century Fox, Dreamworks SKG, Focus Features, First Look (distributor for Dirty Love), IFC, Lion's Gate, and the list goes on. I believe we own (have to go back and check) 25% of Dirty Love, and they can market this film in a big way:

http://www.specialopsmedia.com/clients.php

Also First Look Media the distrubtor looks pretty good, and I urge folks to check out their site as well.

http://www.firstlookmedia.com/index.html

http://www.firstlookmedia.com/Domestic%20Release/index.html

As Tic Toc stated the film is also being distributed overseas by Wild Bunch, and I think he posted a link.

Check out the recent posts on the Big Screen Entertainment message boards, where the company responds to questions about the upcoming Burt Reynolds flick "Forget About It" and everything else, and see the new trailers for that and Dirty Love, which looks really funny. Robbert Loggia's line in the "FAI" trailer also cracks me up every time I watch it.

http://www.bigscreenentertainmentgroup.com/forum.html

BSEG Board Topics range from "Current Share Structure", questions about the staes of films in production, screenings, and all concerns are addressed with honesty.

They have a movie Executive Produced by Gus Van Sant nearing completion as well, which I'm keen to see. Ask questions on the forum and you will get answers from the new management, sometimes directly from Kimberely Kates. This company is being reborn IMO, and while there is still risk, most of it comes from being in a risky business. The days of worrying about whether you can trust the management's intentions, I feel, have passed. All just my opinion, but they are worth everyone's time to at least DD for themselves. There's still a couple of weeks before we see the films promos in the media, so use it to DD if you are interested in this company. I'll try to post anything new that I find as it pops up too.
Cheers and GLTA.

The fact that over 5M of the 32M shares are restricted is nice to know. The company posted this today on the forum, about the restricted stock, and other matters:

" The total in January was 21.3 mil now total is 32.1 mil.  In any case, current management cancelled 108.9 million shares in January, cutting down the O/S by over 400% to help clean matters up.

And yes, primarily the Restricted stock has gone to investors for completion of the current projects, upcoming projects and Stock Options for current Officers who do not take a salary and have their own personal money invested in the company and its films.

Films do have a long turn around time from when you invest and when it is recouped (12-18 months).  However, a film, after its investment is recouped, can have years of passive income as there are so many ancillary avenues for revenue to constantly be coming in.

The company has a good deal of investment in all its projects. We are implementing ways of cutting down the ROI (return on investment) time.  Primarily on having our own distribution arm within the company and selling directly to foreign buyers ourselves where we cut out the middle men.  Thereby cutting the 20-30% distribution fee most companies charge.  Starting with the American Film Market in November where the company will be directly selling product to buyers for quicker recoupment time and saving the 20-30% fees which could be translate into hundreds of thousands of dollars or more saved.

All of us here at BSEG are counting on the success of the company and really believe in its future.  Come have a visit with us anytime at Raleigh Studios.  Our doors are always open."

Jenny McCarthy on IGN message Boards!
Last weekend of August! Check it out!
by IGN Babes

August 27, 2005 - It's true! Jenny's screen name is:

"jennymccarthy1"

That's all you need to know. It's not a hoax; it's not an impersonator; this is for real. The real Jenny McCarthy will be browsing and posting on the IGN message boards this weekend only. (Unless, of course, she falls in love with you and sticks around for other purposes.)

It's all part of her desire to spread the word about her film Dirty Love . It's a first for her both as the star and as the writer, and she wants to get pretty hands-on with the fans - that means you.

So make sure you save some precious time to share with Jenny this weekend by visiting the IGN boards . Tell her we said hello, and we want our boxers back.

"Jenny McCarthy's Dirty Love

By: The Agency
Dated: 16:27 on 08/16/2005

Hear ye, Playboy fans: one of the most famous bunnies of all time, Jenny McCarthy, will be gracing the screens in a movie starring (and yes, even written by) the blonde bombshell herself. Entitled DIRTY LOVE, McCarthy will star as a woman named Rebecca who embarks on a sexual quest to find true love after she discovers her lover (Victor Webster) engaged in an act of infidelity. The film promises to offer gross and hilarious antics, and will also star another one of America’s favorite skanks, Carmen Electra.

Now, I am no Ebert, but DIRTY LOVE is most certainly going to be the farthest thing from an Academy Award winning film. However, regardless of whether you find McCarthy to be the butt of all jokes, or the hottest thing on the planet, the truth is fans should expect what will be a laugh and a half…. even if they are laughing at McCarthy’s feeble attempt to fabricate a silver screen marvel.

Look for DIRTY LOVE out on September 23 of this year. Expect nudity, plenty of crude humor and an MPAA ‘R’ rating.

We're a little more in the dark on FAI I guess because Big Screen owns it, so they are our only source of info. how do you interpret these signals you mention today? (Sorry I'm really bad at TA, so any insight is always appreciated.) Also, was the big share block going through at the ask the event that brough us up today, or did we climb gradually? I couldn't even watch the level 2 trades today at work because I was too busy. Website looks good so far. Could do with a bit more content to be honest tho.

I'm only a beginner on reading these signs but to me it looks good with most trades at the ask. in theory it shows there isn't much selling going on. The big block must have raised the ask to .11 and trades still went thru prepared to pay the ask for the stock. The higher volume should also give us a bit more attention and if we manage to break the 52 week high we could be in for a nice ride as this will bring it up on more radars.

Morning, Tic Toc! Just like me to oversleep today!!! If we maintain here this week I guess we'll have to move this to the "over .10" board! My portfolio is green for the first time in over a year from this. About time! I think this one could go crazy. Only 32M shares and 2 movies coming out (not even out yet, and look at her move!) and more on the way. Plus AFM in November could build an industry buzz depending what they present there. I'm hoping this goes up like MDDM did from .06 a while back, only slow and steady. Who knows in the end, could just be a dream, but we're off to a good start. Cheers!!

Party with Jenny

Jenny McCarthy, having just filed for divorce from actor John Asher, will be at a screening of her new movie "Dirty Love" tonight at AMC River East in Chicago. She'll also host a party for the preview audience next door at Morgan's Bar and Grill. By the way, McCarthy was married on Sept. 11, 1999. Her co-star in the new film is Carmen Electra.

Yeah, Tic, we're going to get some bad ink and some good, it's to be expected. And I honestly used to love Film Threat when I could find it at the magazine shop. Haven't seen a copy in quite a while, maybe they are just on line now. But it doesn't really matter (IMO) if they think the movies are bad. I think BSEG knows the entertainment market, and knows how to fill a lucrative niche in that market with halfway decent entertainments. That's all I expect from them. (Although the Larry Gross script could turn into an arthouse pic, we'll see.)

As for Film Threat...wow they've gone down hill. I don't think there's a string of words in that whole last paragraph that could technically qualify as a sentence. Their reviews were always cynical and skewed towards indie hipster films (as are my tastes, to be honest) but they at least always had good acerbic writers making some sense...this review is a hash of nonsense. Although, in the end, it is still unmistakably negative. Oh well. I don't think teenage girls who want to see a Jenny McCarthy romantic comedy read reviews. It's the trailer that gets them in, I think. We'll know soon.

This is insane. Touched .19 today according to Yahoo and it's still a week before their first movie comes out...and it's the movie they own the least of.

One wonders where this will go.

Hey Tic, should we start a board on the over .10 section maybe for next week? Can you see this going below .10 again anytime soon? I'm starting to think it's uphill from here..! (fingers crossed!)

nice finish!

Yeah I say start a new thread in the over .10 if we keep this up by end of tomorrow. LOL we could be over .20 by tomorrow so I think it is worth it. I'll let you have the honours. Noboddy seems that interested in here anyway, which is a shame. Keeping fingers crossed that we make a strong climb to a dollar or more!

You guys look lonely on this board thought I would join you. BSEG has all the makings of going a lot higher. I think the new releases and productions they are working on are really going to move this stock.

With a small float, profits on their films should have a big impact on the stock.

It's the premiere man!! From the Big Screen board...

"There is a big press junket on Tuesday next week the day after the premiere. The premiere has turned into a 3 ring circus. It is the hottest ticket in town."

Welcome to the hottest ticket in town Road Runner!

Thanks guys for your welcome.

I read the unfavorable review of Dirty Love which was based mainly on it's gross humor.

Deep Throat one of the grosses films made with very lousy acting did over 600 million dollars in business.

There is a certain segment of public that is attracted to this type of film. If they are drawn to Dirty Love the film will take in a lot of money at the box office and in DVD sales.

If it was to do just 20% of DT's business ( hopefully even more ) we would all be happy campers.

Dirty Love just hit IFILM!!!

You can see the first 8 minutes there...and BSEG appears in the opening credits!!!

Yes, it looks totally goofy. But that's not a bad niche to fill...I think this will make it into a LOT of DVD players across America. Apparently at one point in the film McCarthy is traumatized by a guy using a fish as a sex object, a la' the pie in American Pie? If you watch the clip at Coming Soon.net I think that's what the fish comment is about. Could be funny in that same twisted way. I did laugh by the end of her freak-out in the street, even though by then I thought I wasn't going to. This movie might catch some folks off guard.

I don't think gross-out comedies ever get enthusiastic reviews, but I could be wrong. I just re-read Roger Ebert's review of American Pie and it was lukewarm. Anyway, this will be an exciting week. Cheers!

Some relevant comments from the moderator on the official BSEG board:

"For those that don't have experience or knowledge with Independent films  having a film released theatrically is a major deal as only 1% of all Independent films get a theatrical release.  Most Indies never make it to theatres and are released on DVD, Cable, Foreign, etc., which for the most part recoup their money and make a nice profit.  DVD sales have become pretty amazing.

With more and more media outlets (cell phones and the new I Pod video and many more areas popping up), there is even more demand for content and therefore more revenue.

Studio and Independent films start off with Platform Releases (like Dirty Love) to test the waters.  DL will be in approximately 100 theatres in it's opening weekend.  Some locations it is playing in multiply theatres.  This number of theatres is completely normal and could be considered high for this type of release.

Theatrical releases are important for several reasons, but some of the main ones are:  more revenue from foreign sales - a film which has gone theatrical in the U.S is much more valuable, DVD and other ancillary sales are generally much better domestically as well, credibility for the company, etc.  "

I guess I'll try to start a BSEG board tomorrow in the "stocks over .10" section as promised; I'd be surprised if we head below a dime again soon. Not sure how much DD to bother pasting, since we seem to be a small group and have done our homework? Thoughts on that? If anyone else feels like starting a board over there first, go for it!
G'night!
