No, it actually works out like this, if the shares are 3.00 a piece and then they do a 2 for one you have 1.50, but here is the cool thing. Usually when companies do forward splits, the stock 95% of the time go up before the day of the split. So in this people will want to buy some up, just for the split.
Also, has anyone seen that some idiot went on ****************** and started pumping already. I knew we were gonna have some idiots in the group.

It should still go up. think of it this way. Say a company that came out with great news after the market closed. It will most likely still go up the next day. Atleast this way the MM's don't have prior warning.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in a cash account - funds settle 3 days from the buy-in date... you could sell on Tuesday of next week and your funds would still be available to trade Wednesday (3 days from today). - check with your broker, but Ameritrade is that way.

Actually it's 3 days from the sell. It's the buyers funds that need to clear to my account. And until I sell I don't have a buyer. I had a margin and didn't have to worry but I got a bunch of letters for daytrading. I had to buy a cfar, which put me under the 25k mark, and I just wasn't used to the rules.

I used to have a summer home on LAke Tiogue. I remember when we used to eat prime rib and lobsters where the horrific fire was at the Station. It was P. Brillo's back then. (Over 20 years ago). I liked the Cowesett in across the street too if it's still there.

Hold people - low float stocks are picked because once we buy up a majority of shares, everyone else has to scramble to buy shares and MMs have to raise the bids in order to induce sells.

i think a good stratagy is put alot of buy orders at lower then the bid and ask like for example i just put in a big order to buy at .008 i think when market makers see this they know there is alot of poeple wanting in and might just change there order and buy at the ask so they have to cover quickly..

It will start jumping by the penny up there so I don't see it. Alot of people will want to wait for the next .01 more to get a huge gain. Don't get me wrong, people will sell, but I think alot will hold. Heck. FMKIQ was jumping from .05 - .06 easily. Once we break .02 we are golden.

A. Pick will go out the night before. Put your buy orders in pre-market to get the attention of those watching the pre-market. B. Do NOT go shouting from the mountaintop until the pick is posted on Allstocks as a new thread. C. Try to buy using 50% - 75% of your cash. Then, after the initial run, buy again on dips. D. Do not sell early! You have to understand, these are low float stocks. MM's need shares to make money - if we own the float, they will raise the bid to shake us out. The longer we hold, the more desperate they become.

Yeah, these picks never crash. The theory that this is like a pyramid scheme isn't exactly true. Because if we all start selling, the MM's have to pick up some of the shares while they move the bid down in order to keep an orderly market. So it won't just crash. In terms of FMKIQ, I guarantee the MM's are holding a crap load of stock at that high price - they can't bring it down, because they'll need to unload at a low price. They'll just hold and wait for another run at it.

We buy a stock a at price and wont sell it until the price we want to sell it at is reached. we just tell people we think this stack have a potential to reach this price and if the other people believe they buy into it If we have some following in doing so, so be it. I'm not going anywhere. Obviously we can make extraordinary gains in spite of MM antagonism. Today is evidence enough, and of course there are other historic examples (e.g. FMKIQ!). The more individual investors who realize that the better.

You know what, here's an idea.
Since most of us only have a few hundred dollars invested, we should test my theory. We should all start selling at a certain time today, and see how much it drops.
If my theory about the markets are correct (and I did used to be a broker), I bet it won't lose anymore than 50% of it's present value - still be up 400%.

I had a margin. they downgraded me to cash because I was daytrading with only $19,000. I had over $25,000 before but needed some money to down on a car. Dam you Scottrade. Gonna open up a Ameritrade account within the next week. I'll have my margin back and I'll bump it to 2 picks a week. One on Monday and one one Friday.

Honestly gain i dont think you can look at it like that. Maybe the first few times ok it will work but then people are going to just want to take the quick profit when they realize the rise was only on hype. Thats why you had people dumping off shares when they say 30-40% gains today. I think this only gives us at most 2 days worth of solid gains. Thats why i suggested looking at next friday already. Just my 2 cents though.

Here is the deal. I will allow anyone that wants on today. But after today, no more additions. Repo, the reason why yours didn't work is that you guys were posting other site URL's and email addresses.
The idea has been around since the beginning of time. You might have brought it up, but I'm the one who got the ball rolling. Besides, most of the people I got were from a Yahoo forum anyways. Sometimes you seem cool, but then sometimes you just seem like you want to put your 2 cents in. As a team we need to look out for each other. By people selling off early you're not only hurting everyone else but you are hurting yourself as well. If you sell eraly, it might lead to others selling early. Then it's a matter of time before everyone is dropping off with just 50-100% gains. We have proved today with FMKIQ and EPYR that 1000% gains are attainable. Just be smart about it people. If you are scared of losing money just invest less. It is always better to make 1000% on a $200 investment, than it is to make a 100% gain on a $500 one.

Hold on. Don't let this blow up - we are all here to accomplish the same goal. Very few people who made money today care who thought of the idea first, if for no other reason than that it has been thought of before many times, surely.
Gainster has a good "opening team." 100 investors willing to keep quiet and pull together to blow up a stock. If it goes beyond that, loose ends will be created that can't be hemmed in or tied up. The initial group has to be a manageable size, otherwise it will not work. However, everyone here knows where to come to get the pick a bit after the open. Today shows that there is still PLENTY of room for gains after the pick is divulged. So, everyone wins, if some a bit more than others. Of course, that all depends on how much money you put in.
The alternative to this: the project won't work, because it will become overextended, and end up infested with pumpers and opportunists looking for a quick 50% flip.

Listen, I don't think that all of the gains made today will disappear no matter what people do on this board. But that's just based on my knowledge of how the market works... I've never done this before. So I just wanted to test that theory now, as this thing started, rather than have a pick that maybe does go up 2000% in the future and panic sets in and we ALL get locked out of selling (I have seen THAT happen), and we all are holding a POS. That was my reason for suggesting the end of day sale today. This thing will take in a day or so. If you don't believe that, you're naive. Look at FMKIQ - it's already beginning to slide as bagholders know they've been taken. Those shares are worthless! Even the company says that. This stock may go up for a few more days, but if you think you can keep stocks up with pump and dumps, you are wrong. Ask the true daytraders on this board.
And if you think I'm the only one who sold today, you're nuts. At least I have the guts to come out and say it. Locking in a 500% gain doesn't seem like "bailing out early" to me.
Finally, I have said you're the bandleader. You put it together and made it happen. I apologize for posting too much - thought this was a Bulletin Board.

I have an idea.
I Think we should do it on thursdays instead of fridays, so we can watch the action thursday and the next day instead of waiting through the whole weekend. I don't think two pople is better, besides there is no leaders. I just put forth the guidlines that everyone else put out there. Basically I just brought everyones idea together and made it work.
If you have any ideas put it on our other board. Don't put it out there for everyone. If you guys want to make it for Thursdays now then just say so on the other board. If enough people want it that way, then we'll go that route.

One suggestion related to the point of keeping the initital list short
GOOD SOLUTION: Release pick 5 min before market open, or a tad earlier if it's e-mail if URL then just let people keep hitting refresh.
If you release overnite then people on the list will tell others or e-mail others and it becomes a jillion people at the same time and the opening price will be way too high.
If you use URL, you need to change URL each week cause the same thing will happen, everyone will know the URL after the initial 100 spread it (which they shouldn't if they are smart but some will)

what is illegal about it? Just a group of investors pooling their $ together albeit on a large scale. I think it would be illegal if everyone got OUT at a specified pps but agreeing to all get IN the same stock is not illegal. Otherwise you would be breaking the law everytime you emailed a friend about a stock and agreed it was worth getting in to.

Just an fyi. All we are doing is creating our own market so in effect we are becoming a market maker. It is not illegal to corner the market on a stock or confer on choices as long as there is no insider information. Everyone should read the sec rules of securities before trading. As long as no one makes up information or spreads false information about the companies we trade we cannot be implicated in pump and dump because all we are doing is buying and selling. Maybe in the future this will raise some eyebrows but I see no way of stopping us.

CC, You need to relax....There is nothing illegal going on. It sometimes feels illegal when you make a bunch of money in one day trading..... The thing is.....get in and get out...To some it seems insane as a lot of people are not used to swing, or day trading... It's ok.....It's done all of the time.... A group got together and bought some stock and sold some....no big deal... Is what I have done illegal then? I had no idea of which stock they were talking about till, I saw lots of action on OTC.... First of all, great job Gainster--wonderful pick and tremendous results. A couple of things you all may want to consider:
The group will be disected if the sell date for your pick stretches into two different days--different settlement days (unless people play with other free funds).
Second, as each portfolio grows, you will have more difficulty buying into stocks as each ones account will be exponentially increased with each successful stock sold. As each person looks to buy in next time with more money than the last time, others will be left chasing the stock. Same effect as having too many on board.
You may have to stagger buys or allot only a certain amount from each person as an initial buyin at the open, with the rest for additional buys during pullbacks.
Not telling you how to run your show, but better to look at these now then to deal with them when everyone down the road is investing 20K at a time.

Totally agree...been watching a bunch of Boards for a while and Allstocks is by far the most indepth and respectable! Thanks to all who make it this way.

To expand a bit further, indepth DD can also consist of identifying target markets, demographic makeup of the target markets, potential quantities of the target market, potential growth in the target market, term forcasting for growth in the target market, etc.... these kinds of things can be projected/stated in a business plan and/or financials for a company as well, providing a potential outlook for growth, (or lack there of). hi, folks, I hope you all make lots of money on this, the only thing that bothers me is that it sounds like if you aren't one of the first wave your going to get caught with your pants down.kinda like a pyramid. Also you have to have a lot of faith in the person running it, he and his friends could load up on the pick the day before or at 9:30am. I would like to try this also as i could sure use some quick cash, but I think i'll sit this one out. thats what happens when you get old, you learn not to trust to many people. Gainster, i am in noway accusing you of anything, if you can make this work all the more power to you , at least your thinking outside the box. good luck to all , hope you see a lot of green.

actually if gainster & whoever is helping him loads up the day before its no problem. buying in by the rest will still drive the stock up & if they get a few % points more who's to blame them.

Sorry for the delay in response. When I was stationed in Japan I owned to different Skyline's (R32, and R33). Not at the same time though. I was actually 32 days from having mine shipped to the States but then I received rush orders to D.C. so I had to dump it. Definately my favorite two cars I have ever owned but now my priorities have changed a litte since I now have a family. My wife has told me that if we were ever to get stationed in Japan again I could buy a R34. Believe it or not, those cars are dirt cheap in Asia. I have told people before how much I picked up my Skyline's for and they almost hit the deck.

Also, if you were smart, you could just look up the level II's for the pick and see If I've been buying. Mostlike If I was you'd see alot of activity before. My picks always have next to no activity. But if you don't trust me just check yourself.

true. and he prabably IS doing that. BUT u have to remember, hes one person or even couple peopel in his INNER circle. so yea he will make like 10-20% more then us. but thats what he gets for actualyl investing time to coordinate this.
