NeoMedia Expands Micro Paint Repair Business With $23 Million Agreement; Distribution Partner to Roll-Out 500 Centers throughout Australia and New Zealand

***

High-Tech Writers / Business Editors FT. MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NEOM-- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:NEOM), said today it has taken a major step in the worldwide expansion of its Micro Paint Repair Business Unit by signing a distribution agreement with Micro Paint Systems (Australasia) Limited of New Zealand. The agreement is for exclusive distribution rights to NeoMedia's micro paint repair products in Australia and New Zealand, contingent on a minimum purchase of 500 systems over five years, which would generate approximately $23 million in revenue to NeoMedia. Charles T. Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia, said that Micro Paint Systems (Australasia) Limited of Auckland, New Zealand "will offer our proprietary paint and systems under their label starting later this summer." The agreement gives Micro Paint Systems the exclusive rights to NeoMedia's state-of-the-art paint products and systems to repair cars, trucks and other vehicles in Australia and New Zealand, as long as sales goals are met. He said NeoMedia received an initial payment on signing of the contract, which included the fee for the first four systems, and that an intensive two-week training course for training specialists from Micro Paint will begin next month at the NeoMedia Micro Paint Business Unit's Training Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 'Aggressive, Doable' Business Plans Jensen said that both NeoMedia and its new Australasian partner have "aggressive doable business plans. NeoMedia intends to offer our Micro Paint Repair Business Unit's products, systems and services worldwide," he said. He said the agreement calls for Micro Paint to put 60 systems in place in its first full year operation, ending August 31, 2005, with an additional 90 systems sold in the second year. NeoMedia's micro paint repair system continues to evolve after more than a decade of research, development, manufacture and use. Chips, scratches, spots, blemishes and oxidized paint can all be corrected with the system, including problems with exotic pearlized paints, metallics and tri-coats. NeoMedia's system and process employs proprietary technology and safe materials, and is free from harmful isocyanates. 'Without Equal Anywhere in the World' Les Ellison, a director of Micro Paint Systems, said he and his co-directors "believe the proprietary technology developed by NeoMedia is without equal anywhere in the world. We see the opportunity to bring these paints and repair system to Australasia as huge," he said. "At the NeoMedia Development Centre in Calgary we were impressed with the quality of the paint-matching and other advantages, particularly that the system is isocyanate-free," he said. "And NeoMedia offers an unparalleled repair time turnaround. In our opinions, its system is head and shoulders above anything else in the marketplace." About NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. FT. MYERS, Fla., Jun 21, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (NEOM), today announced that it has entered into a collaborative agreement with Intel Corporation (INTC) for NeoMedia's PaperClick(R) mobile connectivity platform to operate on the recently introduced Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones.

Charles T. Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia, said the collaborative effort with Intel is aimed at tapping the rapidly-developing global wireless Internet connectivity markets for Web-enabled tri-band, WiFi (802.11b) and BlueTooth(R) devices.

"Today," said Jensen, "business enterprise and mobile consumer lifestyles demand the ability to access all types of information, anywhere at any time. Intel PXA27x Processor Family

The PXA27x processor family was designed by Intel from the ground up for wireless clients, and incorporating the latest Intel advancements in mobile technology, redefining what a wireless handheld can do by incorporating innovative new features while borrowing and enhancing others from the world of the PC.

The PXA27x processors are the first Intel XScale(R) technology-based processors to include Intel Wireless MMX(TM) technology, enabling high-performance multimedia acceleration with an industry-proven instruction set. Another innovative feature is the Intel(R) Quick Capture technology, designed by Intel to provide one of the industry's most flexible and powerful camera interfaces for capturing digital images and video.

Patented PaperClick Technology

NeoMedia is the developer, patents holder and global provider of a revolutionary Internet linking technology. The PaperClick software platform provides the means of connecting the entire physical world directly to specific Web content and services.

"To be chosen by Intel and to join forces with a company of Intel's stature is yet another major validation of the functionality and marketability of NeoMedia technologies," Jensen said. NeoMedia Introduces 'Silver Solutions' for High Metallic and Pearl Paint Repairs
Tuesday June 22, 10:45 am ET

FT. MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 2004--"Silver Solutions," a new process created specifically to mend the popular high metallic and pearl paint finishes on new cars, has been introduced by the NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair business unit of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM - News).
"Technicians trained in Silver Solutions can provide low-cost repairs of high metallic paints and exotic pearls at minimal effort using the NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair system," said Chuck Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of the parent company.

"Today, optional high metallic and pearl finishes are increasingly popular among consumers," he said. "Unfortunately, with their dream car came the universal headache of how to quickly and cost-efficiently repair scratches, blemishes, and dings on high-tech surfaces."

Jensen said that with Silver Solution, auto body shops do not have to pay special attention to lighting and application technique, as previously necessary, when such refinishing was expensive and difficult.

"Traditionally, high pearls and metallics would be blended over a large area, adding to material costs and the time needed to complete a repair," he said. "Now, a NeoMedia-trained technician can perform a micro repair at a fraction of the cost and time of old-fashioned methods because Silver Solutions is designed specifically for metallics and pearls, where lack of pigment or translucent pigment made colors difficult colors to match. Silver Solution also fully controls the dreaded 'halo' effect, allowing metallics and pearls to maintain identical orientation throughout the repair, resulting in a superior micro repair," he said, noting that "even with minimal training, many first-time Silver Solution users can perform complex and technical micro repairs.

"We are committed to keeping NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair on the cutting edge of technology," said Jensen.

Today's announcement marked the second time in as many days that NeoMedia Technologies has made news. Yesterday it announced a collaborative agreement with Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC - News) for NeoMedia's PaperClick® mobile connectivity platform to operate on the recently introduced Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones.

Additional information about Silver Solutions and on how to become a licensed, authorized NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair Systems Expert(TM).is available from www.neom.com/products/mpr/index.jsp or by calling (877) 203-6393.

Legal Writers / High-Tech Writers / Business Editors

FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NEOM--
NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:NEOM), today
reported that AirClic Inc., of Newtown, Pennsylvania, whom it is
currently suing for patent infringement, has paid royalties for end
user licenses for 6,958 devices pursuant to NeoMedia patents.
The devices were manufactured by Symbol Technologies, a NeoMedia
licensee, and purchased by AirClic for resale to AirClic customers. In
May 2001, NeoMedia signed a worldwide agreement which gave Symbol the
right to grant licenses to itself and third parties under NeoMedia's
intellectual property for a fixed fee per device.
Charles T. Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia, said
his company was notified by an AirClic attorney that an End User
License Agreement (EULA) was executed by AirClic and Symbol on May 27,
with AirClic paying Symbol for the licensed purchased as of that date.
"NeoMedia is extremely satisfied that AirClic has demonstrated
that its end users need a NeoMedia patent license in order to use the
AirClic platform," Jensen said. "AirClic's decision to enter into the
EULA is surely a good start to resolving its infringement on our
patents."
Jensen said NeoMedia will file an amended complaint against
AirClic in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania,
this week showing that the EULA executed between AirClic and Symbol
does not obviate all of NeoMedia's infringement allegations against
AirClic. The EULA, Jensen said, "merely allows the end user to use a
Symbol device which AirClic has distributed and paid a royalty on,
with the license rights passing through to the end user.
"The End User License Agreement does not exonerate AirClic of past
and present manufacture, use, offers for sale and sale of any of its
systems, including its Mobile Information Platform (MIP) and its
AirClic Community Enabler (ACE)," said Jensen. "It is important to
note that AirClic's switches are not included in the agreement, since,
as defined by the EULA, 'a switch is not a Device'."
