Is there any place I can go to find out if new companies are listed on the stock exchange? There is a company I an interested in, I went to there site under the invester section, nothing was mentioned about there stock symbol.

Go to http://finance.yahoo.com/ and click on symbol look up. Then you can put in the company name and find their symbol if they have one.
