Starting a new topic for UVCL. This stock is a wonderful ride, its gone from under a penny to 17 cents before, They had some CD issue, which as been resolved, apparently there was no issue. Stock has started moving back up, and this topic is for those who are looking for the major ride back to 17 cents or close.

Looks like we have lift off. Somethings been happening with this one for the last two days. My ticker shows over 9 million traded today although it did that yesterday too and wound up with 5 million. Anyway, doing good today.

Posted by subpennygirl on :

Doing good? no kidding! it just broke one cent! Remember last time when it went to 17 cents? this is the kind of behaviour it had before the mega ride started. I know, coz i played it. Let's hope this is the case this time too

subpennygirl,
You couldn't have timed that post any better. 5 minutes after you posted it, it took off. Keep that up and you'll achieve legend status around here in no time!

Against my judgement, I chased a bit and got in at .015

I sold off alot of stock today for a loss. I hope this runs good. I need it. I'm a little nervous because of the spread. NITE was doing some funny things towards the end.

StockMinister & Ricks1997,
FEAR NOT! Your invesment will definitely be rewarded on Monday! This late surge will most assuredly result in Gap, and this stock has gotten a lot of attention late today, and I'm sure more buying will take place Monday.
Now.......have a nice weekend.

I hope you are right. I wish this run happened earlier today.

Will - you are cautious about this one huh. I do not blame you.

I just noticed that they are a local company not to far from where I work here in Baltimore.

Anyone have any idea as to why it is moving?

I am in, hope it hits .17 again but, don't see any reason for the move.

The cd conversion caused the downward spiral. All are converted and mm's have really cheap shares. People sold for huge losses from the October run. They are ready to play finally.

No news, no nothing, Minister. A few people show up out of nowhere after an 82% increase? The only DD I saw was "the charts don't lie". Everything looks great for now, but I have been lured in to other plays that looked good too. If it was someone experienced with allstock whiskers touting it, I would jumped right on it. I made money on ONEV by having faith in Glassman. There will be a lot more plays next week. I'll either find them on my own, or rely on the judgement of someone I know and trust. To me after moving up 82% it just might be a good time to be cautious. I could be wrong, but how often do you see them retrace and fill that sudden rise in price?

You're probably right. This stock has a history of doing this. It sits for weeks with no volume, no movement, no nothing then all of a sudden it takes off for a day, two at most and then its right back to where it started. I hope it's different this time around but I doubt it.

I think many people are new to this stock, but I have been following it since last year.
From observing it closely, I dont think this is a long term investment stock, but it can be extremely profitable for a quick two to three day play, because of the way it shoots up with the slightest buying.
The new thing about UVCL is that the CD issue is out of the way. The prospects of UVCL going up like this after May 7th were always high, since the CD issue was to be decided by May 7th. Well the CD's expired, and the dilution never occured, and the interest is back.
Might be worth the risk, if it goes to 15/17 cents, which it has the potential to do, this will be a 10-15 bagger.
Just play short term, a like two or three days, and you should be good.
If its too risky, dont play

All in my humble opinion.

Been in UVCL for 8 months - I don't know WHAT to make of this - but BE careful. It ran on nothing from .01 to .17 in 4 days last OCt. -

If it runs - keep your eye on it and your finger on the trigger. ANd if you want to Play it - Play it. This is NOT a long term hold. THere are MANY of us STUCK here who's average pps is anywhere from .02 to .12, and believe me - they WILL be selling if it runs like we all hope it will!

Posted by subpennygirl on :

Lovethemarket, once again, the stock went down last year because they announced that they might dilute their shares, causing many to stay away. That is now out of the way, the company has confirmed there will be no more dilution. I expect to see more trading on this stock now. Regardless of anything, the fact is, this week should be very profitable, and yes the a rerun to 17 is on the cards, and with no more bad news, maybe more?
AIMHO.

By the way, i played this stock last year too. Definitely worth a few days play.

Subpennygirl - I'd LOVE to see this back over .10 and MORE.

Apparently you were NOT on the Conference Call 2 months ago when he (CEO Sean Fulda) said he has discussed a Reverse Split and it has NOT been ruled out. Isn't imminent either - but we never know. I. personally will NEVER hold any of these little stocks long term again. NOt even an Ibiz. I WILL trade the hell out of them though.

Brian, for the purpose of trading you should trade off float rather than outstanding shares. Outstanding shares is the total number of shares put out by the company, which means the shares for insituitional investors, insiders (stock options etc) plus common stock. The float, refers to the shares in the market of common stock which are available for trading to the common investor e.e us. The float affects the share price, not necessarily outstanding shares. The float on UVCL is 20 million, and to the best of my knowledge was 20 million when it last went to 17 cents.

approx 5 millions shares shorted on this stock, and another 4 million on Friday. That is what i think after watching level 2. If this closes high tomorrow, Tuesday could be buyback day. All the best people

Posted by Briwadd on :

How high do you anticpate this by the end of the week. I sure hate to chase this thing tomorrow only to get burned when it pulls back on Tuesday. But by the same token, I refused to chase ONEV. I could have got in at .03 only to watch it go to .16 on the sidelines. 20 million float is not bad at all.

Briwadd

Briwadd,

I would recommend watching it a bit on Monday. This stock did run up to .17 last September or October on no news but since then it has had quite a few one to two day pops of 100% or more only to fall right back and sit dead for a few months. If it gets to .025 or so and holds for a few hours, you might consider jumping in. That seems to be about where the sell-off has begun in the recent past. Good luck!

Posted by virtualace2000 on :

Briwadd, if it closes high tomorrow, the one very important thing will occur. The MM's will have to do what is called a settle, ie settle their shorts according to the closing price. If the closing price is high enough, or close to or higher than their shorting price, they will have to buy back shares at the ask the following day.

If that happens, Tuesday will see a buyback, rather than a pullback. I think that happened wiht ONEV. I know UVCL has been shorted, but i dont know how much, Navia seems to have a better idea.

Regardless, my DD shows the MM's did try to keep the price down, exaclty how much theyve shorted i dont know for sure. I'm hoping for the buyback to happen. Let's see

Posted by naviagreene on :

I believe, but dont quote me by this, that i saw around 10 mill shares shorted between thu and friday. thats a very rough estimate. occasionaly, it these estimates have helped me understand a stock better.

I don't believe the flouat it 20 million any more. More like 60 + but not positive. Call TA in the morning. I don't have phone handy - but if someone is interested to go way back a few months I believe I posted it on one of the threads here - and I KNOW Unitedreco did on the RB thread - he may have here on AllSotcks too. Problem is, now there are a zilion threads here like QBID - so much DD will be lost....

Good luck - DON'T chase it - they always pull back.

That was a good close. It looked like a selloff was coming there for a minute but it didn't happen. Tomorrow is going to be key for this stock. There's two historical patterns and I don't know how to determine which one it's going to follow. Last Octobers when it ran to .17 or the more recent ones of two day runs of 100% or so followed by a very quick drop down to the original levels. Anyone care to hazard a guess which path we follow tomorrow?

Would like to atleast see if go again tommorrow.

Need to put a request in to sell a certain prices cause I don't have all day to chase this one.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you look at the past trend, yes it will reach .06. However no one knows what it will do. I took profit because I'm just not sure. On Friday and Monday this stock closed very strong. You may make out better selling at the end of the day. But if the pps is getting too low, it also may be better to cut your losses. IMO. Support is at .02-.021 right now, just a little lower than yesterday this time.

Press Release for Univercell Hldgs Inc

Wall Street News Alert: Stock Tips for Tuesday! May 18, 2004, Part 3
5/18/2004 10:54:03 AM
Weston, FLA., May 18, 2004 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Wall Street News Alert`s "stocks to watch" this morning are: VirTra Systems, Inc. ( VTSI ), UniverCell Holdings Inc. ( UVCL ), Micro Laboratories Inc. ( MLAR ) and Owens Corning ( OWENQ ).

Aggressive investors and traders will certainly be watching VirTra Systems, Inc. ( VTSI ) again this morning! Yesterday after the markets closed, the company issued another press release announcing its second sale of its new 360-degree IVR-300 HD firearms training simulator to the United States military!

This is huge news for investors! The U.S. military branch, currently classified, ordered VirTra Systems` new IVR-300 HD high-resolution firearms training simulator for deployment to a classified training location. The system will include a large compliment of extremely sophisticated military training weapons and specialized scenarios. Delivery is scheduled within 4-6 weeks.

"We believe this contract, promptly following our initial sale to the U.S. Air Force, coupled with our recent multi-unit Immersa-Dome promotional virtual reality system sale, clearly demonstrates increasing acceptance of our new projection-based technology," commented L. Kelly Jones, VirTra Systems` chief executive officer.

Investors should really keep this company on your radar screen! "This simulator, costing approximately $250,000, constitutes our most expensive and most sophisticated simulator sale to-date," commented Michael Kitchen, VirTra Systems` vice-president of training and simulation.

"Once again, our technologically-advanced, patent pending 360-degree simulator was chosen by the U.S. military for its serious training needs. Our technology is establishing its reputation as the most realistic, challenging, and potentially life-saving simulation technology currently available. We expect our first domestic law-enforcement simulator sale in the very near future," concluded Kitchen.

The stock closed yesterday at Thirty-Two cents a share.

In case you are not familiar with the company: VirTra Systems utilizes patented technology to manufacture the world`s most advanced immersive virtual reality systems and 3-D experiences. VirTra Systems markets combat, marksmanship, and situational awareness/judgmental firearms training systems to military agencies such as the US Air Force, and to national and international law enforcement agencies. Using the sensations of motion, touch, sound, and smell, the company also produces custom advertising and promotional virtual reality systems for clients such as Buick, Chevrolet, Pennzoil, Red Baron Pizza, and the US Army.

Too bad they had us down to .012-013 when the PR finally came out. Would have been MUCH nicer at .03! Ran up quickly to .024, but ALREADY back to .019

Is it another MM shake? Or time to get out? I'm thinking very seriously of getting out at .035 if it gets there. I'm sure we'll be able to get back in soon sub-penny, imo. After this PR, there is nothing in the near future to anticipate. Any thoughts?

I don't know. I got out at .022. I got greedy with this one earlier this week. I had bought on friday for .0155 and I should have sold when it hit .03 but thought it would keep going. I just read the 10q report I think, and it did not look good at all. Go to yahoo finance and look up the 10q in the headlines. It came out yesterday and that is probably why there was such a dip this morning in price. Anyways GLTA with UVCL.

this still has play people found this Management looks like they are going to hit us with a PR campaign as they want attention now that the CDs can't hold the PPS down. Yesterday's filing was so perfect! Get rid of the last of the mediocore stuff and then bring on today's news followed by the acquisitions, new contracts, etc

News means PRs will keep coming now that the PPS isn't held down by the CD holders. PRs would have been a waste during the conversion period as it was to the CD holder's benefit to keep the price down. The lower the price the more shares they got in the conversion. ;-)
