I have been a bit worried because
the price has been dropping. I called
Robert Talbot and asked if MSITF
would be issuing any financial information
on the company. (I really didn't expect
to get him but he answered the phone).
He said they were about 10 days out from
posting some financial information. (I did not ask what or if it was positive or
negative...)
I asked how much a kit costs basically
he said it depended on if you were a
Government Customer, Wholesaler or
Retail purchaser. I just asked for
rough numbers... He said for the Government
orders the costs were about $3.75-4 a unit.
Retail could be $13-19...
In our local pharmacy a similar product
is about $65 a pop.
I plan on adding to my position. Thought
I would pass on the info.

It was easier to turn 2k into 4k than
it is to take 16k and turn it into 32K.
If you lose 2k you say oh-well. If
you lose 16K then you say ouch!
Not to mention that I owe capital

Last year they were stating almost 800M
outstanding shares. At one point they
were stating no debt with assests of 12M.

As I figure it...
The book value per share is just above
.00837 (Assests/Shares) So this looks
good to me.
They did say that they had a profit of
$146K for the period Dec 2003. So this
is a good sign. Also it would appear
that a lot of work has gone into this past
year to set the stage for the VSCAN
test kit sales in 2004.
If we take assets, earnings... into account
and a PE of 12. I would think that the stock is a bargain at < .012
As sales begin to flow then the value
should increase dramatically.
When compared to LBTT or GMED... this
stock is an extreme bargain. They actually
have a product being manufactured, testing
underway (which appears to be highly successful), agreements with multiple countries... I am still long on this
Stock.

Dengue Fever has become very prevalent throughout the Caribbean.
Most Caribbean islands do not have testing facilities on site to test for Dengue Fever and have to send blood samples off island for analysis which results in a substantial delay (20 to 30 days) in diagnosis. Early diagnosis of Dengue Fever allows for fluid replacement therapy in the worst cases and limits the severe medical consequences of Dengue Fever.
The VScan Dengue Fever test kit uses whole blood, serum or plasma for testing and gives results in under 20 minutes. The test results showed that the VScan TB test kit had 100% specificity with 76% sensitivity. There is no test currently available for TB that is as accurate as the VScan TB test kit. Further the VScan test kit is the only test kit for TB that has NO false positives. All other test kits for TB currently available give false positive.
The fact that there are no false positives with the VScan test kit means that the need for retesting and/or follow up testing that is both costly and time consuming and requires the use of skilled medical personnel is eliminated. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has shipped the last group of VScan HIV test kits necessary to complete regulatory testing in People's Republic of China. The Chinese regulatory agencies requires companies that are applying for approval of their HIV test kits to complete testing of 2000 kits in 8 different provinces in China.

The Company was informed of the last location this week and has shipped the required amount of test kits to complete the test. Testing per location takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks. While the testing has been going on, the Company scientists have been working with officials in Beijing to complete all required documentation related to the test kits. Of the tests completed to date, the Company has achieved an overall sensitivity of 99.6% and specificity of 99.9%. The regulations require that test kits achieve an overall accuracy of 99%. We have met this requirement. Our testing has been done using whole blood, serum and plasma. Testing has been done in government approved laboratories. Live testing has been carried out in several locations. We have been informed by government officials that our test results were better than all other testing done on HIV test kits for all of 2003. No other kit exceeded 98% accuracy.
In addition to the above, the testing done in drug rehabilitation centers continues to go extremely well. The testing completed in China will be used to supplement the testing completed in the United States, related to the filing with regulatory agencies in the U.S. The number of tests completed in China gives additional credibility to the U.S. testing.

Medical Services Completes Detailed Testing in China

The testing just completed by regulatory authorities was to verify that the VScan HIV test kit picked up subtypes of the HIV 1 virus. The tests completed were for subtype A,B, E and G respectively and other tests were for subtype C and subtype B'+C. The specificity of the VScan HIV test kit related to these subtypes was 100%. The overall specificity related to this set of tests was 99.5%
Often individuals with HIV have the presence of Hepatitis B&C, TP (Tretonemapallibum-syphilis), RF (rheumatoid factor) and/or Hepatitis A as well as HIV. The VScan HIV test kits were tested using sera (serum) that had HIV as well as the other diseases listed above. The test performance of the VScan HIV test kit was not affected or influenced by the presence of the other viruses.
In many kits, if the other viruses are present the results will show a false positive. The tests completed show that the VScan HIV test kit has NO cross reaction and therefore will not give a false positive for HIV if these other viruses are present.
This set of testing completed in China shows that the VScan HIV test kit has a broad range of detection while not being cross reactive. This is a very important criteria for any test kit if it is to give accurate results. The testing of the VScan test kit continues to show that it is very accurate.

Medical Services Attending Meetings in Shanghai

(Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it was invited to attend meetings at the Reijian Hospital in Shanghai. The Reijian Hospital in Shanghai is the largest and best hospital in Southeast China. It has been appointed by Beijing as the facility to be used by officials from Beijing that need medical attention. It is one of the few hospitals in China that has been approved by the SDA to do clinical trials.
Prior to this invitation being sent to Medical Services, this hospital has never been opened to foreign visitors and at no time previously has the hospital invited foreign visitors to meetings at the hospital. Officials of the hospital indicated that the hospital sees 16,000,000 patients per year.
Medical Services was invited to the Reijian Hospital as they have expressed an interest to partner with Medical Services to distribute the VScan products through the Reijian Hospital and the other hospitals that they test for. They do the testing for an additional 60 hospitals. While at the hospital an impromto test was done on an active TB sample using the VScan TB test kit and a Chinese rapid test kit. It was known in advance that the sample was positive. The VScan TB test kit confirmed within 5 minutes that the sample was positive while the Chinese test kit showed that it was negative. Officials from the hospital were very impressed with this result as well as the test data that they have reviewed for the HIV test kit.
