ALSO, I SEE A LOT OF OVER .10 STOCKS LISTED ON THIS BOARD BECAUSE THESE SEEM TO BE THE ONLY ONES MOVING NORMALLY.
THERE ARE A LOT OF HUGE ORDERS GOING THROUGH ON THE MAJORITY OF STOCKS. ARE THE MM'S RUNNING STOCK PRICES DOWN AND STOCKING UP ON STOCKS TO MEET THEIR NEEDS BEFORE APRIL 1ST.
THE SEC EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR THE SHORT SELLING TO STOP BECAUSE MM'S NEEDED TO GET THEIR PAPERWORK IN ORDER. WAS THE PAPERWORK NEEDED TO GET IN ORDER A SUFFICIENT SUPPLY OF STOCK TO HANDLE UP AND DOWN MARKETS.
THE MM'S HAVE SAID THEY CANNOT CONTROL THE LIQUITY OF THE MARKET WITHOUT SHORT SELLING. IS THE TIME NOW TO STOCK UP ON STOCKS IF THEY CANNOT SHORT SELL. IF THEY ARE STOCKING UP, THEY DO NOT WANT TO PAY HIGH PRICES WHICH WOULD COST THEN MONEY. ARE PRICES GOING DOWN WITH VOLUMES BEING HIGH AND DD AND TECNICALS SHOWING A STOCK SHOULD MOVE BUT IT DOESN'T ALL A SIGN OF THE MM'S GETTING READY FOR NOT BEING TO SHORT SELL.
QBID HAS BEEN GOING DOWN AND IT HAS HAD 2 RUNS. IT WOULD TAKE A LARGE VOLUME OF STOCK TO STOP A FAST RUN. FRIDAY HAD A LOT OF LARGE BUYS AND SMALL SELLS. WAS THE MM'S LOADING UP AND USING THE SMALL SALES TO KEEP THE PRICE LOW.
IMO USE CAUTION ON SUB PENNY STOCKS AT THIS TIME UNTIL WE ARE CLOSER TO 1 APRIL. DD AND TECHNICALS DO NOT BE SEEMING TO WORK. THEIR ARE A LOT OF HIGH VOLUME STOCKS NOT MOVING WHICH IS UNUSAL EXCEPT SINCE THE OF LAST YEAR WHEN THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF STOPPING SHORT SELLING APPEARED.
I THINK AROUND OR AFTER 1 APRIL, THE SUB PENNY MARKET WILL CHANGE TO A MORE PREDICTIBLE MARKET.
I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THIS THEORY WITH YOU AND IF YOU WANT, PLEASE EMAIL ME. THIS IS A VERY SMART BOARD AND I VALUE YOUR OPINION HIGHLY AND EXCEPT FOR THE QUIRKS LATELY, THIS BOARD HAS HELPED ME TRIPLE MY PORTFOLIO.
If the role of the MM is changed, it seems that it will have an affect on other things.
It is at least an interesting time.
---
It seems that good news (sometimes GREAT news) is having less of an affect than it did a few months ago.
Is it possible that the runs we HAVE SEEN after the release of GREAT NEWS, have been the result of MM manipulation. Not the result of actual supply and demand for a stock.
If this is the case, then I think a market run completely by supply and demand will have us trying to understand hedge funds in the near future.
I do not look forward to a day when I own a stock that there is NO market for. Or try to buy a stock that there is NO seller for. I am glad we have liquidity in the market.
I do NOT like the way it is done now (read- it is not perfect). Though it seems the way it is, we have learned to co-exist with the MM's in a way that is profitable for the MM's and for ourselves.
I am not looking forward to having to make a a paradigm shift to understand the market. I am just starting to get to a place where the pieces are comming together. Now it seems that the pieces are changing. I hope the next big lesson I learn is not... OK, forget everything you have learned over the last 18 months. Get your wallet out, get ready to pay some more dues. The tuition starts over today.
Just some thoughts. I do think it might be a time for caution. Even though, the rules may change. It will still be a market the reacts to the same basic things as always.
