How do all of you keep track of your portfolio? Excel sheets, Databases, other?

I'm working on both an Excel and Access database right now, but I figured I'd post really quickly and get any suggestions/examples.

I made an excel spreadsheet for my gains and losses.

Posted by GreenKnight37 on :

Yeah...I'm going that way. Access is a decent database, but its bugging me right now. Excel is easier for all the formulas

Posted by Marcidius on :

GreenKnight, where did you get ahold of your Access and your Excel databases/sheets, or did you create them yourself?

Posted by VNGNTN1 on :

MARC
How else would you do it ?
They just give you the container for you to customize as far as I know.
I use Access with no problem(for tracking)
Use an old TI-83 for my formulas so I can take them with me.

VNGN: There are many templates and Excel sheets on the internet that you can download, even on the Microsoft site...so that was my question

Posted by GreenKnight37 on :

After the Microsoft template site stopped crashing my Excel, I editted their stock template. I did a lot of tweaking to improve their formulas. Lots of lengthy IF statements, but it works much better.

If anyone wants it, let me know.

Ooooh Oooooh I'll take it *raises hand*

Second, the file is now being hosted by the Allstocks.com website. You can download the spreadsheet at:
