Coattec Industries, Inc.
Bernd Meinecke, 425-646-8500

Coattec Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets: CTCX) is pleased to announce plans for entering the roofing foil and house-wrap production and marketing in the United States based on the know-how obtained through the recently signed license agreement with European Environmental Technology Corporation (EETC), Ltd.

Coattec-CTCX plans to immediately commence a market and geographic study for their US site to manufacture and distribute their line of roofing foils and house-wrap under their brand name DIFFLEX.Coattec-CTCX anticipates commencement of North American operations by the first quarter 2005. The market in North America for Coattec's DIFFLEX products is estimated at over a billion dollars. The current US market is dominated by Dupont (NYSE:DD) and its Tyvek brand in the house wrap and roofing foil products; Coattec believes their products offer a superior alternative to this product. The DIFFLEX product is based on a coated PP textile foil with better properties in regard to tear and noise, both very important factors in the building industry. As well DIFFLEX technology has a significant antibacterial component; in reaction with air humidity it forms a Ph value on the surface of the foil of 12 to 14! Because of these benefits Coattec is extremely confident in the US market.

In addition to the housing markets Coattec coatings have multiple consumer and industrial applications to be exploited at a later stage, for example for filtration products that have under gone significant testing in the UK and Japan, (98%-99.5% effective elimination of bacterial properties).

Coattec potential clients in the USA are:

-- Home Depot (NYSE:HD)

-- Allied Building Products

-- Lowe's (NYSE:LOW)

-- 84 identified Lumber Company

-- Lumber Building Centers

-- Other regional wholesalers and construction companies.

Coattec is in the process of implementing an effective communication structure for investors and customers. Additional information will be forthcoming in the very near future.
