think gold, get gold here`s one that`s expanding rapidly but trades at a valuation much cheaper than it`s more renown counterparts but the market will reward it in just time, trading at $3.80 look for $6 within 12 months if gold go parobolic then who knows but this one is a good speculation that seems to have little downside risk at any rate it deserves some due diligence.

Cdn Stockpicks,

I bought AZK around 2.74, shortly after the attempted hostile takeover by NXG. Even though the takeover failed, I held until after production start up and made out pretty nice with a sell at 3.98 and kept a few free shares as a long term hold.

IMO this is a good company, though the geology in the area of Casa Berardi is notorious for being unstable, which IMO could bring problems when it comes to meeting future production targets, so keep your eyes open. This instability has already given them problems durring their first quarter, though they did manage to meet their production targets.

PR from Feb 1 2007:

quote:
Ore extraction was temporarily suspended on January 24, 2007, as a result of higher than expected sloughing of ore material falling in production stopes. Aurizon expects to recover all of the ore within the stopes affected, and no loss of mining reserves is anticipated.

Cdn Stockpicks,

I definitely recommend reading the NI 43-101 Executive Summary for Casa Berardi if you haven't already, particularly page 1-2 and 1-3, which specifically addresses the instability issues I mentioned above.

Don't get me wrong, I still like this company but Aurizon needs to be diligent in it's application of ground support protocols in order to control potential ground instability in both the development workings and production stopes.

Considering they met their Q1 targets, despite excessive sloughing, they seem to be doing a good job of it so far.
