What do you mean by "lowtrades".
If you have some good info on this stock then buy, otherwise I would have severe reservations.
The cnq is Canada's newest exchange. It is for companies that fail to meet the listing requirements of our main penny exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange.
Also, this is a very illiquid stock, does not trade much, with a wide bid/ask spread.

Most Americans complain that it is very tough to buy Cdn. stocks through American brokers and they have to pay huge commissions.

Also, one of the things I like about Canadian stocks, is that the trading is very transparent. You can go to www.stockwatch.com and punch in symbols for any Cdn. stocks and see what houses are buying and selling.
The cnq is more secretive. It is more like virtual trading center than a real stock exchange.

DoubleL; You've been good to me so I want to let you in on what imo. is going to go like the wind. http://www. northamgold . com just remove the spaces, there is going to be a drilling assay released on Monday 23rd. before the close of market, this I am told should take the stock to the $1.00 region, it has everything, including a very respected team who are known through-out the gold world, check it out. Did you ever have a look at ENDE, you asked me to ask them about prefered shares and I was called and told that the ceo would contact me this coming week.

Lumik company's usually do not let normal people buy prefered shares unless you are close. They might let you do a private placement with them. I do not like to do business with companys that do s-8 and treat share holders like they plan to do.

The only reason I was able to get any info on PERL is I have a subscription to www.stockwatch.com
I can not find any other site with info.

The last news they had was a $500,000 private placement on Dec. 15/03.

They are from Hutchinson Kansas and there is 27,825,555 shares outstanding.
Phone 620 662 3697

Their main asset is ownership of 25 million shares of Balaton Power BPWRF which trades at around 50 cents. www.balatonpower.com

NOTES TO CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
APRIL 30, 2004
(Unaudited)
1. Significant accounting policies
Principles of consolidation
The consolidated financial statements include the financial position, results of operations and
cash flow of the Corporation, and its subsidiary. Other entitles which are not controlled but
over which the Corporation has the ability to exercise significant influence are accounted for
using the equity method of accounting.
Basis of presentation
These financial statements are prepared in accordance with Canadian generally accepted
accounting principles. The preparation of these financial statements requires management to
make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and
disclosure of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the financial statements and the
reported amounts of revenues and expenses during the reporting period. Actual results could
differ from those estimates.
Resource properties
All costs related to investments in resource properties are capitalized on a property-byproperty
basis. Such costs include resource claim acquisition costs and exploration and
development expenditures, net of any recoveries. The costs related to a property from which
there is production, together with the costs of equipment, will be depleted and amortized
using the unit-of-production method. When there is little prospect of further work on a
property being carried out by the Company or its partners or when a property is abandoned,
the related property costs are written off. The amounts shown for resource properties
represent costs incurred to date and are not intended to reflect present or future values.
Foreign currency translation
The company uses the Canadian dollar as its functional currency and the accounts have been
translated using the temporal method of foreign currency translation as follows:
- revenue and expense items at the rate of exchange in effect on the transaction
date
- non-monetary assets and liabilities at historical exchange rates
- monetary assets and liabilities at the exchange rate at the balance sheet date
Cash and cash equivalents
For purposes of the statement of cash flows, the Company considers all highly liquid
investments with a maturity of three months or less from the time of purchase to be cash
equivalents.
Financial Instruments
The company considers the fair value of all financial Instruments to be not materially
different from their carrying value at year-end.
2. Investment in significantly influenced company
On October 31, 2002 the Company acquired from its wholly owned subsidiary, Continental
Resources (USA) Ltd. (“Continental”) all of the oil and gas interests held by the subsidiary in
exchange for a promissory note and the assumption of debt. No gain or loss was recognized
on this transaction. The note is non-interest bearing and is payable from 25% of the gross
production revenue of the oil and gas properties.
Subsequent to the transfer of the oil and gas properties of Continental to the Company, the
Company entered into an agreement to transfer 100% of the common shares of Continental
in exchange for 25,000,000 restricted common shares of Balaton Power Inc. (“Balaton”) that
represented a 41.67% ownership interest in Balaton and is presently 36.89%. This investment
is accounted for using the equity method of accounting.
Balaton is currently engaged in the development of a bauxite deposit in India through its
wholly owned subsidiary Continental
3. Notes payable
4. Subsequent event
City Source Net Corporation (“City”), a shareholder of the Company, has agreed to
subscribe for up to 4,500,000 common shares of the Company at a purchase price of $0.25
per share. This offer is conditional on the ability of City to raise funds.
At an annual and special meeting of
shareholders held October 31, 2002,
the company was authorized to convey
from its wholly-owned subsidiary,
Continental Resources (USA) Ltd., all
of the oil and gas properties/interests
held by Continental Resources (USA)
Ltd., in exchange of a promissory note
issued by the company. The note is
non-interest bearing and is payable
upon 25% of the gross production
revenue derived from the conveyed oil
and gas properties/interests.
The company has obtained a line of
credit to a maximum of $120,000 U.S.
from a company related to a
shareholder of the Company. The loan
bears interest at 7.5% per annum
payable at maturity and is due
February 1, 2006. The Company may

penalty. The loan is secured by a 5%
