Current Ratio of the company is strong with Earnings coming out May 9th. More coverage being initiated on this emerging company with promising results for their malaria vaccine around the corner IMO.

Chart is steady and prime. Gonna break new 52 week highs any day now!

I agree it looks good man; could use some more volume but other than that it looks good. I was watching it, but I have all my money tied up in CTIB right now. Good luck with it though!

From Yahoo board:

just got off the phone with my brother his wife and their Financial Advisor. I had suggested to them that they should consider picking up some GNVC so I was expecting the call. I knew all the things that GNVC was working on, but I had never put them on paper before. The following is what I reviewed with them.

What is GNVC working on using their Adinovector Platform Technology:

1. TNFerade for PC is the focus right now, however, TNFerade has been studied in other Ca's
A. Esophogeal
B. Colon
C. Malignant Melanoma
D. Head and Neck, current study in Chicago

2. Product for the treatment of loss of Hearing and Balance

3. BioBypass for the treatment of patients who have had a heart attack (MI) and restore vascularization to damaged heart muscle.

4. Treatment for Wet AMD, I forgot to mention this one.

5. Vaccines:

A. NIH funded studies on Influenza and HIV (waiting now for the announcement of the start of an 8,000 patient study on HIV), the
vaccine not only prevents, but also, treats HIV.

B. Navy funded study for prevention of Malaria

C. Department of Homeland Security funded study to prevent Foot and Mouth Disease

D. NIAID funded study to prevent and treat RSV virus, amost every child gets it by age 2, 130,000 hospitalizations/year, 15,000
Deaths/years in elderly and dibilated.

GNVC has already had interest expressed by big pharma to partner:

1. Non-Us marketing rights to TNFerade

2. Foot and Mouth Disease, worldwide

I know I missed a couple things, but how the heck does a company with this much going for it sell for only $3.72 per share????????

I hope you didn't mind mind reading, but I wanted to share this with you because even I was shocked when I put it all on paper.

Make it a GREAT weekend,
Russ

This is huge news that i just realized. MVI is the foundation founded by Bill and Melinda Gates that is supplying GNVC with the funding for the Malaria Vaccine. If this company wasn't the real deal or wasn't really close to finding a vaccine, then Bill and Melinda wouldn't of donated more money. They believe in this company. This is such great news for shareholders.

Nothing new, dates to 2004 at a quick glance.

DEF 14A filed, double the A/S in there.

News!!!!!! 5/08

The granting of these two patents is important for several reasons," stated Douglas J. Swirsky, GenVec's Chief Financial Officer. "It strengthens the IP surrounding our lead product candidate, TNFerade, and its use for the treatment of any solid tumor cancers as well as soft tissue sarcomas. Additionally, the patent covering manufacture of our adenovectors underscores the value of our proprietary core technology platform. Together, they provide GenVec with distinct competitive advantages that will incrementally enhance our position in the commercial marketplace."

Im sorry all. Im going to have to back out of GNVC and say that it will not go up from here. The Market Makers are gonna drop this stock off. sell at 3.80 from a 3.90 buy wasn't a bad stop loss..

I will announce my new pick shortly. You don't have to invest in it. But watch it, as i promise it will be a winner.

Read this post from Yahoo board from fight4life before backing out. It is an excellent synopsis of the cc:

Hello,

When thornton said the reason for not starting the next phase of the esophogeal trial, I yelled out Bingo.

This was my theory that I repeatedly stated on this board for quiet some time, but now it's no longer a theory, it's a fact and came from the horses mouth.

This was a great CC and put a huge smile on my face.

I still can't believe that the CC was about a 270 million $ company, the pipeline and potential seems endless, the data is off the charts. The drop the ball comment was the understatement of the year and hit the mark.

The most important parts of the CC in my opinion were the comments on being 1 of 4 selected for a very long oral presentation at asco (Academic Honor) and the provocative rectal trial comments.

About pancreatic- I learned a lot about this trial, they don't want to damage the trial or disturb the data and evry time you take a look you can damage the trial and get a penalty. This is why the next look has to be the right one that puts them over the top at the rigth patient sample size. They said realtionship with fda is excellent (wonder why- thornton) and they don't want to mess that up either.

This is what I have always loved about the CEO, he's conservative and very cautious and knows what he's doing with the medical end of things. His ducks are always lined up in a row and he makes sure of it, even it means a slower enrollment process or slower trials. No mess ups and when he gets it over the goal line, everything else is going to take off like a rocket ship. Genvec will be on the map.

Also, for a very conservative guy, he gets bolder and bolder on these CC's and I love it- He started the call off with going one by one through the casulaties in the last year for chasing down the pancreatic indication, some pretty big names. Nobody can come close to getting the resulst TNFerade is getting.

Rectal (once again, only 10 very hard to treat patients, where have I heard that before, yes, that's right, every indication that TNferade is going after). When are people going to wake up smell the coffee and put the nasty cancer types together to figure out that it's TNFerade and not just luck and the patient size is not that small if you understand enough to put it together.

They hired a new guy to work with thornton on one thing, expanding the rectal trial, sounds awesome, and they wouldn't be doing it unless there was a reason. They can't say because of the conference, but "TNFerade must be doing its thing, if the main investigator is chomping at the ntoion to present what he feels is compelling data". this is what reading between the lines is all about baby.

Add esophogeal, melanoma, head and neck, and the amazing stuff they must be seeing in (Ovarian cancer there was those 3 wonderful letters MOA they are learning about) this is certainly not the first time they brought up ovarian- there is much going on with this, you have to be nuts to think that TNFerade isn't doing its thing. All very hard to treat cancers and all the same outcomes, TNFerade standing and flexing muscle.

Head and Neck
The investigators in the clinic are saying TNFerade is a taylor made fit for this indication. Another ringing endorsement from the horses mouth. This is what matters, not what wall street is saying or not saying.

TNF- stimulation of immune system comments, nice.

FMD- very large market- talking commercial product and partner.

AMD- looking better and better, talking about a great word for investors- differentiated product with the right vector. Much less frequent doses for starters. Huge market and talking Partnering Package being put together.

M Melanoma trial going to have new data in summer-

Over 8,000 HIV starting in summer-

Malaria Vac looks great-
