Klegg Electronics Joins the Ingram Express Global Distribution Program
Wednesday January 3, 7:25 am ET

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Klegg Electronics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: KLGE - News), announced today that they have signed an agreement with Global Marketing Partners Inc, (GMP) establishing access to the Ingram Express Global Distribution Program. The program is designed to assist new manufacturers in entering the Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM - News) vendor network. This new agreement will give Klegg Electronics access to Ingram Micro's world class distribution, logistics and broad retailer customer base.

The first Klegg product to be offered through the distribution program will be the Klegg Media Center Television. The Klegg Media Center Television allows viewers to download movies, television shows and music from the internet; pause, play and record live television, just like a DVR, and record programs to DVDs or CDs. The Klegg Media Center Television will appear online and in retailers through the Ingram Express Distribution Program in mid-January 2007.

Klegg's new Genesis brand flat panel televisions, Klegg Mini MP3 player, and other soon to be announced products will also be part of the Ingram Express Global Distribution Program beginning in late January 2007. Klegg's Genesis brand features the same quality components and performance as Klegg Electronics, but is geared to a broader consumer electronics market with lower pricing and an expanded retail distribution program.

Dennis Gentles, CEO of Klegg Electronics said, "Over the past year Klegg has worked to lay the groundwork to support the January 2007 Genesis launch through strategic alliances, technological acquisitions and marketing initiatives. We view the Ingram Express Global Distribution Program as a key component in Klegg's successful expansion of its retail distribution network."

Did someone say Convergence??

Klegg has an invitiation on their site to come see the launch of the new Genesis line and "covergence products" at the CES show Januray 8-11.

Join us for the launch of our new Genesis line of
home electronics and convergence products!

Where: 2007 CES show
Las Vegas, NV Convention Center
Klegg Electronics Booth: 25311 - South Hall 2

When: January 8-11, 2007

Definition Of convergence from Wikipedia-
Computing and technology

* Convergence (converged environments/networks) defines a multi-media environment and/or network where signals regardless of type (i.e. voice, quality audio, video, data, etc.) and encoding methodology may be seamlessly exchanged between independent endpoints with similar charactistics. Convergence in this case requires the overall environment have two primary characteristics: 1) the intelligence to provide translation between disparent signal types and multipoint routing to establish connectivity between requested endpoints 2) The ability to dynamically allocate required bandwidth to support endpoint requirements for each requested session. Convergence as defined by this is independent of signal format and transport media.

Convergence (converged environments/networks), as such, was formally defined in January 1992 by Phillip A. Coombs, Manager of Systems Integration for McGraw Broadcast Communications and President of the Gemini Group, Cincinnati, Ohio. This environment is fully described in US Patent 5,577,042.

* Convergence and "convergence time" are a process and a measure, respectively, of the adaptation of a computer network to unplanned changes in its topology or structure. For example, a routing protocol's convergence time is how long it takes between when a link is broken to when all of the routers (nodes) in the network have restructured their routing tables to take the next most optimal path.
* Convergence (evolutionary computing) is a means of modelling the tendency for genetic characteristics of populations to stabilize over time.
* Premature convergence is an anomaly in Evolutionary computation in which the population evolved to some stable yet sub-optimal state.
* Technological convergence refers to a trend where some technologies having distinct functionalities evolve to technologies that overlap, i.e. multiple products come together to form one product, with the advantages each initial component.

What do you mean "Hesitated to bring it to allstocks"? There are 26 threads on it.

I've been in and out of this a few times over the last 10+ months, and everytime I was sure THAT would be the time it finally caught on. Good luck to anyone in it, but until I see some HUGE buying pressure, and jumps in the price, I don't see a reaso to get too excited. People have been yelling "Get in before it's too late" for the entire 11 months that I've been here, and the price has declined the entire time.

Did some research on this, I like all the PRs you posted & I might be interested in this co on the strength of their future product line, like two-way IP TVs with MCE, budget Home Theater systems despite the failure of their previous flagship product, the Mini color MP3 player, due to poor distribution, high pricing, and lukewarm reviews. Plus the addition of Cheng and Ingram Micro (and they *really* need the distribution, their website's dealer list sucks and there are few if any online vendors); but I fear the dilution issue... 500 mil AS with 90 mil OS, according to the old thread on here (http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/ubb/ultimatebb.php/ubb/get_topic/f/2 /t/010370/p/1.html
) the OS in Feb was 24 mil and they said no dilution. I think they are trying hard to be successful but I don't think they care about the shareholders...

Funny thing is they paid for Paula Abdul's endorsement in shares [Big Grin]

At least they stopped claiming they are going to uplist straight to Nasdaq and now they are shooting for the OTC BB..

here's my e-mail

Good day,
I'm a shareholder in InGram for several years now. I noticed a Press Release today:
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Klegg Electronics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: KLGE - News), announced today that they have signed an agreement with Global Marketing Partners Inc, (GMP) establishing access to the Ingram Express Global Distribution Program. The program is designed to assist new manufacturers in entering the Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM - News) vendor network. This new agreement will give Klegg Electronics access to Ingram Micro's world class distribution, logistics and broad retailer customer base.
-----------------------------------------------------
I'd be interested in knowing which retailers Klegg produts would be sold via...I.e. Amazon.com, Best Buy, Walmart, etc?? And How Ingram will enable them to grow their brand name recognition. Being an investor in Ingram for 5 years now I realize they can contribute greatly enabling young company like Klegg to gain needed recognition. Any source references, such as retailers that will be carrying Klegg products would be greatly appreciated as I am having a difficult time finding/buying their product outside of the MP3 player I own. Especially the 40 inch Media center which today's release states-
"The Klegg Media Center Television will appear online and in retailers through the Ingram Express Distribution Program in mid-January 2007."
Thank you for your time,
Barry Gardner

and the response from INGRAM.......

Dear Barry,

In addition to enhancing their brand recognition, the primary benefit that Klegg will realize from their agreement with Ingram Micro is that they will have access to our over 160,000 reseller customers. Their products will be available to all customers of Ingram in the US, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Thank you for your interest in and support of Ingram Micro.

Regards,

Kay Leyba
Senior Director of Investor Relations

BEST BUY, WALMART, AMAZON!!!

This is the next leg for klegg....LOL

A letter from FF on HSM!!

I'm at the Electronic Home Expo (EHX) today, checking out some of the latest from the home system integrator and custom electronics channel. While much of my focus as an analyst tends to be on the high-volume consumer market across the CE and networking side, there is no doubt that alot of what these higher volume markets will see is being defined by the high-end market for AV that can be seen at shows like EHX and CEDIA.

Walking around the show floor, its clear that no high end vendor of home systems or automation would be caught without a whole-home or media center integration story. From Media Center software plug in/middleware vendor Exceptional Innovations/Lifeware to home AV component manufacturers such as Yamaha to home media server specialist Niveus Media, much of the focus is on IP based entertainment and whole-home distribution.

A couple of the interesting highlights for me were:

-Klegg Electronics was demoing a flat-panel LCD with a fully integrated Windows Media Center PC. I've seen Media Center Extender technology embedded in a TV before, but never a TV/PC hybrid such as this. The TV has a fully integrated PC with a multi-core Intel processor, a 250 GB hard drive and a gig of RAM. The device was controllable from an AMX or Crestron touch pad, and was able to deliver content to other network connected TVs around the home. The demo version I saw was running XP, but when I walked over to the Vista partner booth Klegg had a version running Vista. I was also worried about the PC becoming obsolete, but when they showed me how the PC is fully customizable and open to adding and changing cards or other components through the back of the TV, that worry was quickly eliminated.

Thanks...I cannot believe this is currently at under 20 mil mkt cap and they actually have real products and quite a few too. Appears they might have had marketing issues but if that is cleared up as speculated and the company delivers on retailers, this will likely take off bigtime.

Will be keeping a keen eye on this one tomorrow.

There is no question the only thing holding this back was distribution.

Ingram is the best in the game!!

The bottom line will now grow exponentially as we see retailers gobble this up.

I also love the fact that they have a tiered product line with products availble on all levels.

I honestly believe the uplisting news will come to fruition on this as well.

I've been reading a ton on this today, if they are successful with the Genesis launch into retailers I think this might take off nicely.

It's pretty clear they have good products, certainly on the high end, but with small emerging electronics companies I look for them to have a staple to feed themselves cash as they are not a prone to dilute and a PR on retail chains with the price penetrating Genesis line should take care of that.

Might have to take a starter pos. in the AM just in case this goes early as I suspect there might be even more accumulation during the CES in Vegas on top of last week's.

BTW - chart is off the hook and Friday's was real impressive for volume and PPS...no afternoon sell off at all.

I agree its just that I believe new investors see that as a sign too shy away. Many don't like the hassle of calling an order in.

I tried to add right before the bell by the way, thats how I found out.

I didnt realize how many products they already have produced. these high end products for a .18 stock is very very impressive. if they do go through with an OTCBB uplisting .50 is not out of the question

This traded at 3 bucks a share last year st22.

Paula Abdul was their spokesperson during American Idol last year hence the spike.

The only problem back then was we had no retailers.

If these distributors can move product like I think they can and we get off the pinks I see no reason this doesn't trade at 10-20 times todays value.

This is still an incredible bargain.

That being said we are still on the pinks and untill that changes I will protect capital.

I heard a reporter on the Wall Street Journal Radio show this morning reporting from the CES. He said the biggest thing at the show was a home entertainment system that allows you to store, record, etc. tv shows, movies, etc. He basically described the Klegg system to a "T", but never mentioned the maker.

Looks like a good time to enter this play.

Posted by Jo4321 on :

He could be describing any media center extender though. I've got an XBox 360 that does the same thing. You can even download movies to it through Vongo.

It would've been advantageous for me to have it all built in, like with Klegg, though, cause my kids never want to give up the XBOX.

I just took a small position today at .17 The "Jo4321 effect" seems to have taken place and took it to .15.

made the same mistake jo... got in to high..

we should be okay though when we get info back from CES and the products start selling

Posted by milliam on :

Jo, I'm not up on electronics stuff, but I figured there were other systems out there that does this. The way he described it though (the huge amount of movies you could store and being able to access these remotely) made it sound like the Klegg. Again, there's probably others out there that do this same thing, but I'm not up on this stuff.

So, where did the volume go to? Either my streamer is broken, or there hasn't been a trade since 1:13?

Posted by Jo4321 on :

Do you have TDameritrade? My streamer's been messed up with them the past hour. FRPT hit $18.00 and it still shows the high as being $17.95

Milliam, I heard that report this morning as well and I think I remember them saying Microsoft. As they have a new deal with cable companies to drive the new ip tv that's big now. Great market that really has not been tapped. Many can go to the pc but very few systems can take from the pc to the tv. The quality is still not the best. But you can hack a xbox and get most of the technology or use the new xbox 360 and get pretty much everything you want.

Apple's just announced today their "Apple TV". Looks to me like it just extends Itune stuff to the TV, doesn't appear to be compatible with media Center.

http://www.apple.com/appletv/?cid=CDM-NA-3740B

Does anyone know if Mac has something similar to "Media Center" for their computers? I searched a bit and it doesn't appear so. The selling point for Media Center (at least for me) is the ability to digitally record TV Shows and use the Media Center as a DVR. Does Apple already have this capability too? I hope not.

Divo now has some real competition with the recent launch of the Enterastream Media Server.

The Enterastream from Klegg Electronics is a “home entertainment server” that connects to your television set allowing you to record, catalog, and display virtually any type of media. This product is nothing short of a computer which, at first glance, looks to be one.

With a massive 1.5 terabye hard drive, the Enterastream has enough space to save up to 250 DVD’s, 20,400 hours of music, 1.5 million digital photos, 1,200 hours of recorded television, and more.

Catalog all your DVD’s with cover art, and in-depth information allowing easy search and playback from your library. The Enterastream also supports playback for AVI, DivX, MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 formats.

Importing media into the Enterastream could not be easier. With built in FireWire, network (broadband ready), S-Video, composite, coaxial (RF), serial port, parallel port, and 2x USB inputs, you can rest assured that it will accept any form of media you have to offer.

The networking capability allows you to connect to the Internet, viewing web pages from your couch, or connect with your computer to download your previously saved video files, music files (mp3, ogg), and digital camera photos. Klegg has even set up a website for the Enterastream to automatically lookup your media information and assign proper titles, artists, etc,… or view your TV guide to schedule programs to record.

The Enterastream comes with a built in CD/DVD+/-RW drive to burn TV programs, create audio cd’s, and to burn to DVD your image slideshows that you create within the media server. The unit comes with a wireless IR keyboard and mouse for controls and functions.

If you’re a TV junkie, the Enterastream is a must have. With a personal video recorder capable of one-touch recording, scheduling recordings, watch while recording, and watch pre-recorded programs while recording, you can be assured that you will never miss a show again.

Jo its not just the recording of TV shows its essentially another monitor in your home!!

Linked with all computers in the home!!

You can now sit on the couch and do as we are now.

As far as what apple has I am not sure.

Right, I got that. Many of those functions, I can do the same thing with my XBox 360 (which functions as a Media Center Extender) connected to my PC that has media center.

What it seems that Enterastream has that a Media Center extender does not is the ability to view web pages on the internet on the TV. That, I think, is the only thing one cannot do with XBOX 360 MC extender.

The Enterastream certainly sounds good, if it can do all the functions of a Media Center Extender plus more.

From what I can tell, the Apple TV thing doesn't have the capability of recording shows OR the internet surfing at your TV Capabilities so it doesn't compare.

just got a courtesy call from someone who was at the Klegg show and it sounds like it went great! The Klegg booth was packed the two days they were there. The Klegg Media Center/Vista was getting a lot of attention and it was one of a kind product. Some positive reviews expected. The new product Genesis lines sounds really cool, their flat panel LCD 27-32 "in were compared to apple products as they come in different pastel colors such as pink and blue. Initally the pricing will be about 500 dollar range but expected to drop as the LCD market in general prices are expected to drop, they could be selling for as low as 300 bucks. Got confirmation of the form 10-SB getting prepared for submission to the SEC but couldn't nail down a time, as it can up to 3 rounds or so with the SEC depending on how many questions they come back with,,so we could go quickly, or it could be slowed down, but it will happen. Conservative estimate was a few months,if it goes a lot of rounds it could be 6. Glad to hear Klegg's products got massive attention and see see what Klegg releases in the coming weeks , months.

From Trading for wealth... I-hub

Happy Monday all. So last week I sent Denneis another email expressing my disappointment in not hearing back from him and getting some pictures from the show. As I assumed they were very busy which we investors should see as very good.

He finally did email me back as follows. This short note would be suppostive for those looking to hold KLGE for the duration to reap reward;

"Robert,

I am sorry I was too busy to put out a press release last week. I honestly tried, but when I finished the show and meetings I got to bed no earlier than 2am each night. The good news is we had meetings with several large retailers. Some will try to bring in our product within the 1st Quarter others will wait for the 3rd Quarter. Press release to come out next week. I am trying to formulate them now, and get them over to our PR person for editing.

From Rebel girl. Hub

According to a report I got from someone who was at the show KLegg's 40 inch LCD TV Media Center/Vista is the only one of it's kind now. The booth was packed for at least the 2 days they were there, and this product was getting a lot of interest. Along with the Genesis line. I don't know about who will have what in the future and at what price.

(Pink Sheets:KLGE - News), announced today that they unveiled three new additions to their "Genesis" product line at the 40th annual International CES Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV. The new products included the next generation Klegg Genesis Internet Enabled flat panel 40" and 46" LCD TVs with an embedded Windows XP chip that allows viewers to surf the net, check e-mail and access their digital media files. In addition to the Genesis Internet Enabled flat panel LCD TVs, the Company introduced a Genesis Vista Home Entertainment Media Server and a Klegg Genesis V-12 Portable GPS Media Player. The new Vista Media Server features standard CE device outputs including HDMI and Optical, a Blu-ray Burner, optional expanded onboard storage of three terabytes and will retail starting at $2999. The Genesis Portable GPS Media Player is three and one half inches long and weighs only one and a half pounds; the state-of-the-art System features door to door voice navigation, plays digital video and audio MP3 files and offers optional Bluetooth wireless technology. The portable GPS media player will retail at approximately $299.

Klegg Electronics launched its new "Genesis" line of flat panel televisions, speaker systems and Klegg mini MP3 and MP4 players earlier this year. The new Genesis products feature the same quality components as the Klegg Platinum Line of high-end high-performance products but are geared toward a broader consumer electronics market with lower pricing and greater retail distribution www.genesisbyklegg.com. Prior to the launch of Genesis, the Company's primary channel for distribution of its products was high-end specialty retailers and custom installers.

The Company recently entered into a joint development agreement with a research facility in Taiwan. The new agreement will allow Klegg to reduce development costs and time to market and still offer Genesis customers the same next generation technology that Klegg's high performance Platinum Series is known for.

Dennis Gentles, CEO of Klegg Electronics said, "We believe that our ability to provide consumers with quality, value and cutting edge product innovation will help to build the new Klegg Genesis brand into a leader in the $21 billion consumer electronics market." He added, "The new Genesis products attracted over 2,500 visitors to Klegg's CES booth and the positive response was overwhelming.

Here's my post from page 1 of this thread. I think it's appropriate:

I've been in and out of this a few times over the last 10+ months, and everytime I was sure THAT would be the time it finally caught on. Good luck to anyone in it, but until I see some HUGE buying pressure, and jumps in the price, I don't see a reason to get too excited. People have been yelling "Get in before it's too late" for the entire 11 months that I've been here, and the price has declined the entire time.

What a POS

I'm telling you, this is like the hundredth time that I've seen people get excited for news, have it pop because of (I assume) a low float, and then just slowly drop back to where it started when peole who bought high get sick of holding.

It SEEMS like it should take off, but for some reason, it just never does.

The fact of the matter is they JUST got a distributor 3 weeks ago.

These things don't happen overnight.

I agree with you Pcola that this was way overvalued all last year and the company failed to produce reasonable results.

Do I think its undervalued now...Yes

I still feel that this has the potential to become a big winner within the year.

I am holding long. I know thats scary for a pinkie but I have the capital to do so.

This is not an overnighter by any means.
