I'm really disappointed in this company after watching 60 Minutes a couple of weeks ago. It appears that they are unwilling to follow through with promising research after affecting the lives of the people they used to study GDNF, a drug which shows great promise in curing Parkinson's Disease.
Twice since the mid '90s this company has solicited Parkinson's patents for drug studies and twice they have left them hanging after all had showed marked improvement.
I wonder if they actually have a cure but by providing that cure, they will drastically cut their profits due to the lack of any need for the drugs they may now be producing.
I understand they are also in research of cancer and ostioprosis drugs. I hope, no, I pray they don't leave anyone lingering with another drop out of that research.
This is down from a 52 week high of nearly $90 and I suspect it will drop more in the next few months due to their lack of committment.
I plan to purchase one share just to be able to attend the next board meeting next year.
In addition to their droping these patents from seemingly successful research, they refuse to release this promising drug GDNF to someone who will follow through with more trials. Looks like a monopoly to me.
If you had Parkinson's, Cancer or any other disease and I had the cure, how would you feel about me if I held on to it, refused to let anyone else use or research it?
