California Schools Prepare for Transgender Rights Law

 -

With a law that spells out the rights of transgender students in grades K-12 set to take effect in California, school districts are reviewing locker room layouts, scheduling sensitivity training for coaches, assessing who will sleep where during overnight field trips and reconsidering senior portrait dress codes.

“Are there going to be 15-year-old girls talking in the bathroom and in walks a boy? What are they going to do? Scream? Run out?”

Ya gotta love the name of that website you linked to. So very appropriate for for the GOP sheeple.

Just because you dont like the name doesnt mean what they are discussing isnt going on.

Will you be peeing in the gender neutral bathroom pagan?

I know I would. Wouldn't want to hear a chick fart though, that might ruin the excitement.

I have gone in a lot worse places. It's hard to get to excited where i go, when you got to go you got to go.

Have 4 or 5 beers and see how pickey you are.

Here's an easy solution, if you "have one" you pee in the boys bathroom, if you don't you pee in the girls. Believe it or not there really are only two sexes, male and female so pee in whichever bathroom corresponds to your anatomy.

One of the female employees at a company i worked for a few years ago, said that when the womens line got to long, she would just use the men's restroom.

I am not sure i care who uses what, unless they are looking over my shoulder and laughing.

Maybe i am getting to old to care about this.

If you go to a hospital they give you those robes to wear, that will get rid of any dignity you think you might have. When you walk around and everything hangs out. You would think after all these years they could devise a better robe, especially for what we pay to stay.

That's the problem people are having with the law. The only determining factor in which bathroom you use, is the student's own decision about "which gender they identify with".

Another simple solution is to put all stalls in restrooms!

The biggest problem with that is then all restrooms will have backed up lines, we know how long it takes women in the restroom.

Yeah, well, for the purposes of simply going to the bathroom you look down and go in the one that resembles your anatomy. If you're anatomically a boy but believe you're a girl then you go into the boys room and use a stall with a door. It's really that simple.

Yeah, I agree with ya... IMO, if you are "trans-gender", you are the exception to the normal rules, and really shouldn't expect people to bend over backwards to accommodate you. For schools with a separate, single person, handicap bathroom, the solution is simple, since most of them are gender-neutral anyway. Locker rooms won't be so easy.

Why? When I was in school a shower after gym class was mandatory but I don't think that's the case now. As far as changing goes it shouldn't be that difficult to set up privacy screens or changing stalls.

You know, I just can't grasp why all of this is such a big deal. Maybe it's because I'm indifferent to all of it, if a person wants to live life as a stuffed animal I couldn't give a chit. What bugs me is when that stuffed animal starts making the simplest of things difficult.

To a certain degree everyone has to adapt to an accepted norm. The problem today is that there is no norm. Someone or something has to establish it so we can move on.

You are right from what i have heard, don't know if that is all schools.

PE is not required anymore at all schools.

One of the problems with these type of issues is that some people make a lot of money off of them.

If you have money drop by an attorneys office they will support you for a price.

If there is enough publicity, they might even take it on for nothing.

And sometimes parents get stupid about easy to solve issues. To bad parents won't spend their time and money on making sure kids have PE and arts in all kids education, these to me are more important than fighting over bathrooms and simple to solve issues.

But the real problem is not the issue of bathrooms, it's the issue people have with the sexes, that's the real issue they are fighting.

They are not going to have much luck on that issue anymore, for better or worse, we will see as time goes on.

One thing people don't seem to understand in all these issues, is that you have rights until you infringe on other peoples rights and this is a very fine line.

I ran into such an issue several months ago with a women having a so called certified dog while i was sitting next to her in a casino. Some seem to think they can do anything if their dog is certified, of course you can get those certifications forged so easily, not much to it.

And i am sure some know that no establishment can ask to see a certificate for a dog from the owner, or ask if that person is disabled or any identification of being disable.
