We need to get our troops out of harms way now and stay out untill we understand that war is not a game.

If that's all it takes to get us out of a war why didn't they think of that sooner.

Imagine all the lives and heartaches that could have been saved by just posing in a few pictures.

Too bad we dont fight wars like we used to....to win.

winning ain't what it used to be cash...

i'm not even sure what winning is anymore.

Mao had tens of millions executed, and Lenin? Lenin was directly responsiblke for as many deaths by fighting and twice that thru starvation...

fighting to win? i dunno what you want. pave Afghanistan in glass?

I kinda know what CashCowMoo is talking about.

They need to quit tying our soldiers hands if you make that horrible decision to send them to war.

Pictures like those shown are gross but so is war.

I was watching a show last week about someone that hsd written a book about our involvement in wars.

She commented on how in the big wars before we entered the presidents indicated how the whole country would be involved in those wars(WW1-WW2)

Lots of people were involved in the whole process of war at home, plus troops were involved in heavy numbers through out our country.

Then Korea and Vietnam, although we still had the draft which brought troops from everywhere, but probably not as much as those other wars and certainly not the same family involvement of making parts etc. as in WW1 and WW2

We still had a lot more people involved feeling the pain of their neighbors and their own until after Vietnam.

Now we have soldiers doing many tours on a regular basis, which means a lot less personnal involvement in war for the whole country, which makes a hugh differance on how we view these wars.

This person was also saying that a lot of our troops are coming from certain areas of the country, which means even less people and areas our involved, i never looked that up.

If our leaders were doing what they are doing with these troops today in these bad conduct charges, our troops in Vietnam would have been in a lot of trouble, but happy to go home early!

Here is a bigger question, What our we going to do for jobs for these guys when this war ends?

We know they will cut back on active military and the job market gotten tighter.

black*water* is gone. couldn't stand up to the liabilities they incurred...

they are now Academi and still contract but they are moving more into inteland training and less into physical security details...
anybody who thinks we get a better deal by contracting this stuff out should think again. it costs Taxpayers alot more..
the company has fgone thru several corproate eveolutions to evade liabiltiy, which is what corporations are really for... that's also the reason they should not "enjoy" rights as if they are human beings since they always seem to be able to avoid responsibiltiy for their actions..

America is a lot different now than back in the day like when troops came home from WWII that is for sure.

Again, my bad. Don't try and hold a conversation irl and type at the same time.

Black water.

The demand for private security forces is going to be huge in that area of the world after we leave. Whether it will be drug money or oil money, the new powers that be will pay for experienced protectors.

I am sure after enough Americans complain about private security companies they may go away, but they will be all over the place globally. Same goes for all the other jobs and industries we are kicking out of the country through litigation, regulation, or taxation. Why domicile in the United States when you can locate in a country that welcomes you.

Afghanistan, or Iraq. If you go to war you go to war. You dont try to be this small light Army that Rumsfeld pushed. You overwhelm them to win. Bogging down troops in cities, and blowing money on infrastructure projects on foreign lands while neglecting your own gets us in a deep hole.

now at last you admit when we got ourselves in the deep hole and how.. the debt that Obama has actually created was not OK, but it was very small compared to the debt and spending he was forced to do because it was already law when he took over... remebr the stimulus was 40% tax cuts to small biz and middle class americans, not runaway spending
