Obama just invaded another country without their permission to get osama, just like he said he would if he got elceted and had a chance.

i don't think the GOP will be running on natiaonal Security again anytime soon [Roll Eyes]

I don't care who got him......just happy that he has been gotten.

Kudos to Obama for making the call (very glad that they used troops for this and not cruise missle or a daisy cutter)

Huge heartfelt thanks to the SEALs for execution. I would love to know their names......but we all know that can't happen anytime soon. Maybe it will be made public by the time I am a very old man.

Bin Laden dead and thats all that counts who cares who gets the credit.

Life goes on we should all work on domestic issues now. And Rush should work on his big fat butt.

Rush Limbaugh donates $100,000 for Recovery and Rebuilding of Joplin

When native Missourian Rush Limbaugh visited Joplin to share his admiration and encouragement to the men, women and children of our city for their resilience and hard work exhibited since May 22, he also shared another gift to the City: a donation of $100,000.

This donation will go to the Joplin Tornado First Response Fund that has been established in conjunction with the Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri.

Mayor Mike Woolston talked with Limbaugh during and after the City's Rockin' 4th of July event held at Landreth Park.

"He provided these funds to support the thousands of people who have been affected by this disaster," said Woolston. "Although our community suffered a tremendous tragedy, he knows the heart of Joplin is still strong. He has seen that by the work and perseverance exhibited here each day. As he has said, his intent is to help maintain the focus on Joplin as we rebuild."

Limbaugh brought a semi-truck full of bottled tea products to hand out to those attending the event on July 4th. Joplin was selected as the city to visit because of the number of votes it received through one of his website promotions.

In addition to this gift, many others have shown their love and support to Joplin with donations to this fund. A list of donors can be found on the fund's website at www.joplinrecoveryfund.org .

"We truly appreciate everyone's heartfelt support during these difficult times," said City Manager Mark Rohr. "We've had significant donations, such as this one, as well as many everyday citizens throughout the country who have held fundraisers in their own community to raise money for Joplin. This includes kids opening a neighborhood lemonade stand, which we probably all did as kids, but they donated all of their proceeds to help Joplin. That sends a pretty powerful message, and we just want to say a very loud and sincere thank you to all who are helping us during this time, whether through donations, volunteering, and other gifts of kind. It's been overwhelming."

Can a bunch of ordinary United States citizens actually donate money and time to rebuild a city destroyed by a natural occurence in nature?

We are finding out...

Who knows? Maybe we can get rid of F.E.M.A. all together. That would save money for all of us taxpayers.

Amazing how cut down goodwill is by certain people if the person giving charity does not agree with the political views of another. So in Jordanreed's view, if you are a conservative donating to wounded warrior or tornado victims you arent giving enough or somehow the gifts arent as worthy.

What a joke. You are really backwards.

I just think that if you have millions and want to help out the victims of your home state, then help out and dig deep...and don't let anyone know. otherwise its an empty gesture and shows how shallow he really is. Sorry to pizz on your hero but this has nothing to do with you..
