it's over, they can complain all they want about the democrats spending, but they lost control of the government by their own actions.

this whole vote along party lines might be partisanship, but i am reminded of a kid holding his breath till he passes out.

we are either going to come out of this recession or we aren't.

if we do? the GOP will be remembered as complaining. if we don't? WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

But these guys think they can hold their breath 'til the democrats pass out.

Talk about slipshod faulty thinking?

Hey, GOP LET GW Bush run wild. Bush shot from the hip and didnt think about his actions.

We need TRUE conservatives to take back the Republican Party. I am just as mad at Republicans as I am Democrats. I am mad at the GOP for allowing it to get screwed up, and mad at the Democrats for screwing the people on this stimulus.

Suuuuuure.....it was all dubya's fault, ever lovin bit of it.

Let's just forget about letting Delay and Abramonoff and Armey and Gingrich and Gramm shoot from the hip well before dubya was on the scene. It wasn't dubya that first loosed an unhalterred freemarket from the corral.

Sad fact is, it is those calling themselves the "true conservatives" that are now refusing to accept the facts of life. The republican party under the flag of "true conservatism, sans dubya", was overwhemingly stomped in two succeeding elections, because the public has seen through the lies and knows their tactics will not fix the mess they got us in and they know the Party isn't willing to change!

All they offer is "Stay the Course" and an insulting and childish inability to pronounce democratic.

Cash. both parties are FOS.
the GOP didn't "run wild" or get off track, they did exactly what they do,

they didn't "let Bush run wild" they did it with him.

heck, they have no history whatsoever of cutting spending, ever.

they spend deficits, the democrats have raised taxes, but they BOTH spend like drunken sailors.

the good news is that China is mad at US:

Chinese regulator hates the US ... but still likes our bonds

will China continue buying up our Treasuries? Perhaps so. This is according to a piece in the FT. The director general of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Luo Ping, said there is really no other place to put lots of cash (at least in a safe way). In fact, he wasn't too thrilled with the U.S.'s financial moves over the years. And, he even thinks the U.S. dollar will continue to sink (yes, not really a ringing endorsement from our financial sugar daddy).

Interestingly enough, the FT says that Luo said, "We hate you guys."

so maybe if they revalue their money? this won't happen again? don't count on it.

I'd dearly love to see a resurgence of the old-style eastern "moderate" republicans reappear. But they won't because they won't be allowed to by this bunch that shanghaied the Party in order to start the process of instilling fascist leanings into or system of government and reinterpreting the Constitution along those lines.

As long as the Party movers insist that their major purpose is to ridicule, undermine, and insult, the Party will remain in the hands of fascist leaning demigods, which means it cannot reform into a viable entity capable of seeing the interest of the Nation as more than their own greedy interest in absolute control of a private and personal dollar generating mechanism.

There is supposed to be more to America than banking. Much much more and most of that has little to do with finance.

"The people", as they are described in the Constitution aren't that greedy. They are happy to be allowed to have enough money to feed, house, clothe, and educate their clan and have, thereafter, the spare funds and time to worship and play without concern, as was the intent of the "Bill of Rights" in the first place, without which the Constitution would never have been ratified.

"Joe the Plumber" might think he wants to try and play in the arena of the right-wing politicos, but "Joe Citizen" wants to listen to the Grand ole Opery and watch the World Series and wants you to shut the hell up except during commercials.

You've proven over and over that you don't even know what fascism is.

What a bunch of ridiculous drivel. The "people" are happy to be ALLOWED to be able to feed, house and clothe their family and have a little spare time left to worship and play. Isn't that gracious of you! Give me a break! Not everyone has such low expectations of life. Some people have the drive and ability to do better than just get along. Maybe being "allowed" by the benevolent government to just get by is your dream of the perfect socialist society, but it is not mine!

No doubt

PM, you are a hopelessly ignorant loud mouth and perfect example of the word "jerk".

In addition to a new and honorable gathering of non-right-wing extremist republicans, I am also hoping to see a resurgence of the old conservative wing of the Democratic party. I expect that to come about quite strongly, particularly as the republicans that are in power in the Party, unless they switch tunes fast are singing their way to a complete failure of that party. They will die repeating "Stay the course", while the people move on to choose sides among the factions of the Democratic party, as it is the political essence of Americans to demand tbeir comfort in a two party system, even when they both lie under the same party name..

I bet you love Russian history bdgee

I do love Russian novels, cow. As for their history, it is little more than a subset the soap opera of the family tree of European royalty.

But it is almost 7 and I'll have to leave you two yard birds now to go and catch a word from O'Reily, who is almost as ill informed and bigoted as you two, so much so that it is amazing. Too, he gets the RNC talking points before either of you and I want to see what sort of silly trash you will be presenting tomorrow. I need a good laugh.

Funny the response you've received.... I'm fairly certain that was your best post in. The. Six or so years I've been here.

If true, that's very sad.

Heaven forbid!

Across the world, new PMs sprouting from the acrid spore he has spread and deposited.

I cant believe some of you think this stimulus and the amount it will cost is a good idea.

RIP DNC in 2010

Believe it CCM! These socialists want that warm cozy feeling they get from knowing that the government is taking care of their every need and protecting them from failure. Unfortunately, what they don't realize is that they must give away their freedom and their money to get that freedom. However, socialists don't need freedom or money as much as they need the state to be their mother and father.

Well, put it in the pot with all the other things you can't believe, like global warming and evolution. Your record for picking things you can't believe isn't very hot, you know.

Let bdgee enjoy his time. The Democrats are going to lose numbers in the house soon. When over 50% of the American people did not want the stimulus, and felt it was bad....they had their ideas slammed in their face by the dear leader nancy pelosi.

These politicians seems to forget they serve the people not themselves.

Odd, didn't the GOP destroy themselves that way. But of course you didn't point that out since we all know you are not biased [Roll Eyes]
