Does anyone on this board know much about industrial strength fluid pumps?

cotton jim is into hydraulics...

Thanks Glass, I will ask him. However, I am looking to work with suction instead of lift. I will have to ask him about it.

What kind of pump are you looking at/for ccm, piston, gear, other? What's the application?

Some form of surface suction that is capable of moving fluid without a downhole submersible pump. Capable of moving heavy fluid (oil) with trash from the well. Not sure if it is even possible. This is a shallow well application ranging from 400-900 feet.

You looking to rehab some old oil wells CCM?

Yup, got a new treatment application that is a success. However, the treatments dislodge material from the formation, the perfs, the leadlines, and the separator. Trashed the injection pump, requiring total replacement. Nearly ruined the injector well, requiring an acid job, and have pulled every well we have treated at least twice, some more. Wanting to could come up with a cheap surface pump that can handle some trash along with the oil. You know, something like a suction that could just suck the oil out of the ground.

You want to use some sort of piston type lift pump, trash in the fluid would destroy a gear pump. If you are serious, I can put together prices for the parts to build on or the price on a finished product.
