What the heck is wrong with these religious bigots?

If someone so much as hints to them to absent religion from their politics they shout some screwball misconstrued version of the 1st Amendment and carry on as if they had been neutered. Then they have the gall to attack someone in a different version of their superstition and claim he can't do exactly what they want to do.

There is NO place in America for ANY person or any cult, by whatever name, no matter how deeply they hold to their belief and no matter how sincerely they intend their efforts be good for the Nation, to inject religion into the workings of our Nation.

"Congress shall make no law respecting....."

That says "NO LAW" and that is exactly what it means.

That says "no law", or any law, 'WITH RESPECT TO" your religion or my religion or the most sincerely heartfelt superstitions of some stooped, glary eyed, bug eating, near animal, consignee to the state mental hospital.

Any nation that bases any of its laws on any religious doctrine (and get it through your head, Christianity is just one of many religious doctrines, just as likely to be flawed or wrong as any other...or for that matter, a doctrine permitting no religion at all) is doomed to be anti-democratic.

Religion, along with any and all of its precipitates, is not generous or open or even fair. It is dogmatic and exclusionary, by definition.

Of course, cj, that assumes that god is emotional.

Albert Einstein, just before his death, said, "I believe in no personal God". Note that that too is a belief.

Even more eager to see that as you get your own, no one else has to deal with your own or even know you got it.

You don't exactly sound pleased with my concern for democracy.

ans religion is belief? so why should we be subject to secular beleifs? all of life and its interpretation is ased on thought and eleif and govt is belief...

we choose to exclude christianity from govt when 90% are christian in this country yet we allow secular politics to rule the land? All though is biased and of our opinion and a country is democrtic when the majority of folks have the country they want without repressing minority....but for the secular minority to rule is oppressing the majority hence a theocracy.

Posted by thinkmoney on :

so, in america it is ok to have secualr politics rule? I dont think so when the majority is christian?

it is wrong...What is secularism giving thhis country? more crime, no morals, and negativity and hell...

Yes, it is secularism that has destroyed our school system and jharmed every institution.

So, whether we choose secularism, christianity, but we choose...or any religion..

What is amamzing, god is seperate from religion....seperation of church and state NOT god and not in constitution to give state the right to educate kids..........education i s the realm of parents..not state..all entitled by compassion but parents decide the values to give....

Posted by glassman on :

Christianity is not a Church. It is a system of religious beliefs that includes literally hundreds of different churches.
Are Catholics in the same religion as Protestants?

Posted by thinkmoney on :

of course, christianity has many sects...it is a way of life...most subscribe to church but not all....christians..their distinctive factor is christ is the savior....

mu main point is that christinaity s islam as judaism as secularism is all a matter of belief..

and, in a majority christin country the belifs of secularism should not rule...or we have a theocracy...

Those that ppose religion want heri secular agenda ..their way of life and it is wrong...

As christinas we need to stand up against seculaism and the harm it has done to usa...\

Wars..in my opinion have een blamed on religion but in reality wars are for economic reasons in name of religion ...Cetain folks fought to survive...........
limited by their thinking..as we are today.....

Posted by thinkmoney on :

wht is interesteing is as long as u dont harm, preach hate,..u can educate and have freedom..but i also should choose how i educate my child..i oppose secular teaching..hate, immmorality, sex, sexualizing our young, drugs, rap music, list goes on...why should i be forced to send my kid to this? send urs but let me send mine to my values of morality, right from wrong, no hate, belief in god, etc....without paying private as u have that fredom s should I....i want freedom to educate and give values to my kids that are not secular...so we have to give credits to all parents to freely choose the education for their kids...

What a pile of egotistical horse crap?

You need to grow up beyond childhood fairy tales and learn that just because your mama told you that Santa was coming on xmas with toys doesn't make it true and just because your neighbor doesn't believe in that tale doesn't mean he doesn't get presents that day too.

No one of the terms non-religious, non-moslem, non-catholic, non-baptist, or any similar term is the opposite of secular and your open hostility to any belief that isn't yours, granted your chosen ignorance on the subject is insulting.

Secular means not based on religion. It does not mean anti-religious, as you want to make it. Also, belief is not knowledge and certainly doesn't assure fact. Faith is simply superstition by a different name.

Your absurd arguments do not amount to even a crude excuse for logical and miss being rational by a bigger margin. What they are is narrow minded and bigoted. They only display your hatred and ignorance.

Government based on religion is, by definition, anti-democratic.

Posted by glassman on :

hmmmm.... secularism is not a religion?

of you choose not to decide? you still have made a choice...

you are free to put your kids in private school...

wasn't school vouchers one of Bush's platforms in '00?

what happened to that?

as for paying taxes? you'd still have to do that if didn't have kids, and you will continue to long after they have grown up and out of school...

this country spends less on education than most industrialised nations and it shows in our national test scores. they are pitiful

Posted by thinkmoney on :

I an put my kids in private but it is not fair. All should have equal access to public goodies. Why should the secular parents get free education at the expense of majority christian?

Secularism is a beleif system as any religion or faith or spiritual thought........

Bdgee ..You definitely are a lost soul...You have a right to disagree but you have no right to personallly attack anyone who doesnt share your secualr viewpoint... Somehow u cant handle it..u are so insecure....and u spew the hatred........

i think that in a free society all should live in the soceiety of their choice ..and since ua is amjority christian those values should not be destroyed in our schools simply ecause the minority wants it that way.. Christians better wake up or they may live in a society that is so adverse to their values...

We have to get God back in schools for those that want God...All parents should have equal access to public funds...i do not want to educate mu kids secular values so i should have sane right and access to funds...

Posted by thinkmoney on :

Waht is good about secualr values suchas sexualizing kids early, drugs, hatred, etc?
The monority should not dictate to the christian majority that having sex, drugs, hatred, guns in schools is ok...God is anti to all those values opposite to those values is good moral behavior with values in love, family and leave the rap, guns nd all out...

Posted by thinkmoney on :

Iv the secual monority wants to pollute the minds, go ahead but you have no right to pollute mine.........or my kids...i preict god will be back in schools cause the kids will brng him back..How can any human seperate oneself from god? God shuld e glorifed all day in school and in all of our lives..

Posted by thinkmoney on :

And no nation should let secularism dictate the law of the land......Our constitutuion gave ALL feedom but today we have seculaism dite the law which is not right...............

Secualism should not b the religion of the land..As I say seperation of religion and state, not god and state...seculaism is a religion........

Posted by thinkmoney on :

Secularism is a religion ..by definiion...it is a beleif system as religion or any thought ...

So, why shoul secualism e taught in the land????

Wake up folks........

We all should have equal rights.......right to education ..not private because then it i not fair..i pay but the seculars dont??and, wh yhave the christians accepted the secualr oppression?

Posted by thinkmoney on :

Why is society sexualizing our kids? Why is music full of hate?

It is wrong....why is bratz the norm for girls?
ht is sexualization of kids.....and then we wonder why middle schools kids havesex???

Posted by thinkmoney on :

And, schools can never correct a societal problem...parents are responsible for their kids..schools are to support the parents......

If parents choose to be irresponsible then we have the kids we have...Alo of parentsdodge their responsibility and expect society to do the job........that can never be unless we socialize all institutions nad give parental rights to society......

and, i will never give up my riht to parent cause i had the kids..bu, so many in this land dodge their responsibility..dads leave their kids to one parent households..no one is there for the kids....

Posted by thinkmoney on :

USA is a nation of nations...i we take the chinese..inamerica,,,i bet high scores higher then the average...etc..........those low scores out there are parents irresponsibility......

as you read this? keep in mind that the state of MS is one of, if not the most, socially conservative states in the country. There's easily more than 20 Baptist churches (probably more than 50) for every bar in these counties mentioned... there're other churches here too, but there's not nearly as many

Bolivar population increased in 2006

The Mississippi Department of Health recently released its 2006 Vital Statistics Report, a study on live births, deaths, marriages, and divorces in the state's 82 counties.

Bolivar County's population shows an increase of 289 residents over figures reported in the department's 2005 study, while Sunflower County's population fell by 478 residents.

During 2006, the department of health reports 38,352 residents in Bolivar County and 31,833 in Sunflower County.

Based on these populations, the state department determined trends in birth rates and death rates for the counties.

Bolivar County saw 678 live births to mothers within the county, according to the 2006 Vital Statistics Report.

A "live birth" is defined by the Mississippi Department of Health as a newborn that "breathes or shows any other evidence of life."

Of those births, the report notes that 182 were born to white mothers, while 496 were born to non-white women.

Cleveland mothers accounted for 233 of those live births.

Sunflower County's population increased by 553 live births during 2006, 100 to white women and 453 to non-white mothers.

The statistical report goes to show that mothers between ages 20 and 24 account for a majority of these births, with 242 live births in Bolivar County and 222 live births in Sunflower County born to women in that age bracket.

Both counties showed high numbers of live births to mothers between the ages of 15 and 19, with 138 live births to teens in Bolivar County and 120 born to those in Sunflower County.

The report also notes that in Bolivar County, three live births were to mothers under 15 years of age, while in Sunflower County that number rests at four.

The statistical report determined that in Bolivar County, of the 678 live births during 2006, 477 newborns were delivered to unmarried mothers. Fifty-five of those births were to white women, while 422 were to non-white women.

Four hundred of 553 children born in Sunflower County during 2006 were to unmarried women, 22 to white mothers and 337 to non-white residents.

The 2006 Vital Statistics Report showed that the mortality rate in Bolivar County is currently on the rise, with 391 resident deaths in 2006, a rise of 38 deaths from 2005.

Of the deaths reported in Bolivar County, 159 were white residents, while 232 were non-white residents.

In Sunflower County, the death toll has declined from 275 in 2005 to only 258 deaths reported in 2006. Of those deaths, 100 were white residents, while 158 were non-white.

According to the department of health, Bolivar County saw 121 marriages in 2006, while Sunflower County saw 82 marriages during that year.

There were also 128 divorces in Bolivar County during 2006 and 84 in Sunflower County.

more divorces than marriages, more unwed mother than wed mother etc...

and yet the Churches go out of their way to get bars shut down whenever they open.. and they succeed.

if Roe V Wade gets overturned? this state will among the first to make abortion a capital crime...

i disagree that it is primarily an African American problem....

one third of the whites were unmarried too...

but you and i do agree that while most Americans SAY they are Christians (90%)... the fact is that practicing Christians are more like 30%... and every one is still a sinner.

i don't want other people teaching my kids religion, cuz most of 'em don't really get it (IMO)...

be sure to teach your own kids what they need.. as far as i am concerned? schools (even most of the private ones) are mostly for learning social skills, which are very important too...
the private ones teach a different set of social skills than the public ones do tho.. just look at Dubya to see what they teach...

Sorry tm, but your egotistical assertions that you are qualified to decide who has "lost their way" and are qualified to then steer them to a "correct" path are, first of all, arrogant and asinine, and second, since you consider you are asserting they are dumber than you, insulting.

Why in hell can't you sick religious crackpots leave the world alone so it can live in peaceful social harmony?

I say again, an intent to require that a society be dictated to by religion is the opposite of democratic and is un-American. It is dictatorship you are supporting and nothing else.

I say you have your right and I have mine...

i dont want your way and i have no need to impose mine on you....I give you respect to live without God bur i want to live mine with God..

I said the church should help those that lost their way..but, only those that accept help can be helped...No force...only freechoice..

Or they can chhoose your way of name calling and hatred..

I didnt qualify any ho lost their way bu left taht for those that lsot their way.....Iam not religious...and any beleif sysytem in extreme is in your words crackpot..but christiannity or spirituality or faith is essence of man......if ya deny it shows as is shown by you..in your ignorance andvery low self worth........

I ignore ya again s plz spew your stink to anyone who cares and i dont think many on this boad like ya

Are you now suggesting that it is supposed to be a surprise that you don't like me. Amazing! How could anyone imagine otherwise in the face of your over zealous and insulting hatred?

"I say you have your right and I have mine..."

No you don't. You want to require me to subject my children to indoctrination to believe as you do while they are young enough to be trained to be robots to your cult. You advocate denying them and me the right to believe other than as you do and to carry on my life based on my beliefs. You want dictatorship and denial of religious freedom. You are insulting. Your hatred overwhelms anything like unbiased in your character.

"seriously bdgee. there are good people, and good Christians, and there's people that wouldna been so good without Christianity..."

Yep, glass...I do whole heartedly agree with that, but they are not the ones demanding that others kids be trained to be religious with government funding.

And though "there's people that wouldna been so good without Christianity", look what Christianity has done for dubya?

God save us from wanna be religious dictators, specially when they are too numb-skulled (ignorant or just dumb? or maybe both) to understand that is what they are advocating!

I think parents have responsibility for their children and have a right to teach and upbring their children -

- all parents should chosse where to send kids whether public or private or charter and all should equally get same tax dollar - ..

Glass - you have a very good point - maybe 30% if not less are practsing and that is one reason probably why God got kicked out of public schools -

I am careful what I teach my children - I think social skills are important and to me social, spiritual, physical, emotional and academic - are all important---

You cant take one out and expect a full potential person....

Public schools are failin in this country - IMHO because God was taken out -

I am curious glass -what do you teach your children?

Posted by glassman on :

to behave as if they are always in church

"But the secular folks want to use my money to promote their secular ways?"

What simple minded horse crap.

As far as insulting jerks, you are one of the champions here, tm. Any suggestion that something that doesn't suit your bigoted preferences and you go to making asinine accusations.

You are hateful and insulting with your backward view of the world.

God hasn't been kicked out of public schools, just the notion that churches can dictate religion to impressionable children there.

If "Public schools are failin in this country", it is because of those like you that choose to try and abuse the rights of others by trying to use public schools and government funding to dictate religion to the children, instead of letting them learn.

I offer you exacty one reference to discard all of you hateful bias:

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion...."
