what does a recession really mean?

for the poor? not a thing.

for the lower middle class? will they "super-size" at Mickey D's or not?

for the middle middle class? will they have to switch back to Budweiser from Sam Adams or not..

for the upper middle class? will they replace their 40 footer boat/motor home next year or in three years...


for your broker? whether their year-end bonus has 5 figures or 7....

recession? The dow is pushing 14k again..... and crude is 80+ and people cant find work....

Maybe, in translation?... people are losing their jobs to companys streamlining and saving winfalls by the replacements of people with computers and machines/robotics. Thus leading to prettier spread sheets.... I have no clue

I feel the same way as you Rimasco.
The part i don't understand is that there is more and more bad news that keeps surfacing and yet the dow is like the everyready battery it keeps going and going and going.

If the stock market is an indicator of the how the economy is doing we should be doing great.

How long can the big boys hold up the market? It appears forever.
