ohda.....
don't you get it??...
the end justify the means????
use that a few times and you can figure out a good reason to nuke the whole world...(it's EZ)
of course Sadam was a bad guy, nobody is defending Sadam, the problems are about integrity and LYING.....
if Bush didn't lie, WHO DID?
and if Bush didn't lie, he was waiting for somebody to come along and lie to him, and he didn't ask enough questions....
next he REFUSES to acknowldedge the mistakes....PERIOD....
even Tony Blair has acknowledged HIS part of this....
we have a war to fight, no doubt, but i think we need to be able to trust our leaders

No casualties? White House disputes Robertson comment
'The president never made such a comment'
Wednesday, October 20, 2004 Posted: 6:31 PM EDT (2231 GMT)
EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin (CNN) -- A White House spokesman denied Wednesday that President Bush told Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson that he did not expect casualties from the invasion of Iraq.
"The president never made such a comment," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.
Senior Bush campaign adviser Karen Hughes, a longtime confidant of the president, said she was "certain" Bush would not have said anything like that to Robertson.
"Perhaps he misunderstood, but I've never heard the president say any such thing," Hughes said on CNN's "Inside Politics."
Robertson, an ardent Bush supporter, told CNN in an interview Tuesday night that he urged the president to prepare the American people for the prospect of casualties before launching the war in March 2003.
Robertson said Bush told him, " 'Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties.' "
it's ludicrous at some level....
In his CNN interview, the religious leader described Bush on the eve of the invasion as "the most self-assured man I've ever met in my life."
"You remember Mark Twain said, 'He looks like a contented Christian with four aces.' I mean he was just sitting there like, 'I'm on top of the world,' " Robertson said on CNN's "Paula Zahn Now."
"And I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, 'Mr. President, you had better prepare the American people for casualties.' "
He said that's when the president told him he did not expect casualties from the invasion.

NO LOL
In the interview, Robertson also said he wishes Bush would admit to mistakes made.
more quotes....
McClellan said Bush did meet with Robertson in Nashville before the invasion, as Robertson recounted. But McClellan said Bush always has recognized that war "requires sacrifice" and that there would be American casualties

Yes former, means he isn't anymore. He left the muslim religion, which makes him "former", and converted to Christianity.
are we in a war for oil?
are we in holy war?
are we in a war for democracy and "freedom"?
cuz the moslems don't want to be converted and Bush says he respects their faith....

I dont feel we are in a war for oil, I do not feel we are in a holy war, it is my understanding we are in a war on terror.
did you know that Army Materiel Command was NOT ready for a war of the type we are in now?
that they are working NOW as fast as they can to catch up with the real needs of the army?
because they were not prepared for this war??

Despite improvements, the Army is still stretching to meet goals for equipping soldiers.

WASHINGTON — Prewar forecasts that failed to account for a lengthy and bloody insurgency have left the military struggling to provide all the equipment needed to do battle in Iraq, defense officials said Monday.
we are making more terrorists every day...why is that????
[This message has been edited by glassman (edited October 20, 2004).]
and AMC admitted the TRUTH before the elction...
Bush's people shoulda thought of this stuff before they started blaming everbody but themselves....
'specially since the blame falls right on the CIC.....
poor guy will probably get fired for telling the truth too...
that's called delusional.....
the pattern is repeated over and over, the real conundrum is how does he get awy with it?

just skimmed over that article. One thing they failed to mention (or I skimmed past it) was were the "Average replacement rates were coming from". What I mean is are these averages coming from training camps throughout the grassy fleilds of the midwest, or some other non-desert area? The problem with sand is how abrasive it is. That alone just having helicopters sitting there doing nothing will cause damage, as well as to the tracks of tanks as it pushes through the sand. So if in fact those averages are coming from areas that are clearly not as harsh as the current climate/conditions they are functioning in, they are pretty much meaningless. Although it does go to show that war can not be answered by averages.

Do you really think the President did this to come across as a hero? I mean really? There were reasons for going in there aside from the alleged precense of WMD's. That was the front most issue, but there are plenty of other reasons to have done it. Like I have said before, its all just opinion though.

NO WMD.. Pat Robertson says Bush didn't expect casualties...why not?? cuz he KNEW there was no resistance and no WMD to defend the country with????...LOL
just simple linear logic...

is this why they hate US???? NO, they hate US because they THINK we are trying to FORCE them into accepting our religion....i know, you don't think so...ASK THEM why....
we NEED to spend about 1 billion on this problem..and instead we are finding other ways to spend it...
and it doesn't NEED to be this way....
at least it DIDN'T....
we may be able to do a little better...
one day, the sheep will look up, hopefully it won't be too late...

in my interpretation of our religion, GOD is still creating US....
who am i to judge the workmanship?
i see evil in each of US, myself included...
i know these guys are bad, and i know we have to stop THEM, but there are more being converted to osam every day.
it is imperative to remember that osam is NOT ISLAM....
my biggest concern is that many of US don't really get that, and if we don't do this job correctly, it may not matter, we may force them all to choose to fight US...
i see a lot reasons to say this job IS NOT being done correctly (intentionally or by stupidity)...
if we continue on the path we are on.....
i can't accept that Bush ever thought this would trigger 55$ a barrel oil...i think he expected 20$ after Iraq...we secured the wells first, remember?
don't put a checkers player in a chess tournament...
Iraq was not supposed to be a real war....Bush thought he was plucking a plum...it's all right there in print if you go back and read it..i have, and i've provided quite a few links(i know you were gone for awhile)
i have looked at this from a lot of angles.(not every)
the embedded reporters were supposed to show the world we were good guys...not how fast we could take Baghdad... the world already KNOWS we kikbutt....
i see one set of excuses after another....
and you so glibly say "what war ever went as planned"?
i'm trying to figure out what parts of this are planned and which aren't, and i don't like what i see...
afghanistan was absolutely a good call....but we aren't done there yet either..not for YEARS...that would have been good enough to PROVE our goodness...and could have propelled us forward for ten more years in a VERY positive light ....and we could convert CHILDREN cuz only a very few adults can ever be converted
Iraq was "optional" we are now fighting two fronts...we can't really open another one at the moment and Iran is taking advantage of that...they tested a new missile today...
they are not shaking in their boots like they should be, are they?
protraying people like me as wimps is silly...
i play hard and i fight harder...you just haven't figured out when i start fighting...cuz you still haven't seen it...
[This message has been edited by glassman (edited October 21, 2004).]
Glass did I see that right, are you an O's fan?
Say it ain't so.
Maybe we should talk more sports, because its the only thing we agree on.
Who is your football team?
As far as politics, we don't agree. All I can say is thank God you weren't around for WWII.
Thats the last thing I am going to say as far as politics. I will continue to pray that the good Lord continues to bless this land, that the right man gets put into office, and that kerry isn't my boss.
2005 is the O's year
Billy Kilmer? Maybe John Riggins...
i hate to admit i was happy when Joe Theisman got his leg broke by LT (i know my evil self)Theisamn wasn't a team player--
teamwork ALWAYS wins in the end
and i don't like the new owner,
but i am glad that Joe Gibbs is back...
this is a lie
Bush initiated Bombing Iraq ON HIS OWN ORDER, and 911 was not Iraq...it was Saudi...big difference, and they appear to be funding the Iraqi insurgents NOW.....
i notice this author doesn't address the voter registration issues in Fla. that actually led to Bush's disfavor witht the NAACP....
these issues are real....
documented, and the governor is another Bush...try again.....
i understand this program only got proposed...
When President Bush proposed a $450 million program to mentor urban middle school students and children of prisoners...we heard nothing from the NAACP
which country is this guy from????
In the meantime, my countrymen are slowly learning the joys of freedom of speech in Iraq. My countrywomen are starting their second year of learning to read and write in Afghanistan. This is all because one president, one administration, and one mighty military force, decided that freedom is a right worth defending. President Bush is our Lincoln
as far as i'm concerned, this guy's attitude just supports the idea that this is a holy war, and the idea of starting a Holy War by LYING seems a little WRONG to me....
especially since the likely outcome is for Iraq to become another Muslim nation.....
and it WAS NOT BEFORE........
