Glass, I do love it when you publish scathing accusations without a shred of evidence to back them up.
What part of the ads were all lies?
Did Effin Kerry not say all pre-emptive millitary action taken by the US should pass a "Global Test"? Does this not mean we would need a permission slip from France to protect ourselves? When has this country ever asked permission to protect itself?
One of the many things that liberals do not understand is that most of the countries in the UN are at best fair weather friends, at worst outright enemies, of the US. Why the hell would we ask their permission to protect ourselves?
To even suggest that we should run to the UN for help every time we feel threatened is supremely pessimistic, infact a case could be made for it being treasonous.
Stating a desire to turn over security of this country to a global vote is one of the quickest ways to secure our defeat. This is treason of the highest magnitude.

schools....

WASHINGTON — Federal law enforcement authorities notified school districts in six states last month that a computer disc found in Iraq (search) contained photos, floor plans and other information about their schools, two U.S. officials said Thursday.

The downloaded data found by the U.S. military in July — all publicly available on the Internet — included an Education Department (search) report guiding schools on how to prepare and respond to a crisis, said one official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

this isn't really news Keith....

anybody who watched Saddam build his palaces(i did) over the last 10 years knew the crypt smell was on the place....

i think the MORAL issue here revolves around how you fix corruption, you don't do it by dropping bombs on innocent people...

you do it by having a SUMMIT meeting at the UN and lay out the case to the world....

you name names... you embarass people...
if you DD the situation you will find that Allawi and Challabi provided the WMD intel reports...it's an accepted theory right now (not fact)
now we put them in charge...that's called a coup-d'etat.... i still think US law is against US doing that...there are quite a few examples of the current admin re-interpreting the law and the constitution to suit their needs for expediency.....

the idea of corruption being a legal argument for war is very dangerous Keith... ENRON, KMART, MCI, the list goes on.....
didn't we just sanction some guy in the congress yeserday??? wasn't it some republican big-wig??

yup, it's everywhere, where do you draw the line? where do you say OK let's kill this one???

there is something else here thats' been overlooked, if you believe the latest White House sponsored WMD report. Saddam destroyed ALL of his WMD in '91......if he did that then how did he gas people in 96? i'm curious where that detail fits in....

LOL, DQR, you need to read the transcript..i already posted it here at AALST. so you can look it up...

his statement CLEARLY said the Prez has un-veto-able pre-emptive strike rights...the real issue is that Bush HAS FAILED the global test already....
that's why this is being twisted around, Bush can't admit he was wrong.....

let me ask you guys this.....

are you prepared to have the constitution set aside for your safety???????

i'm a Patrick Henry fan. i hope it doesn't come to that, but i might as well start smoking again if things keep going the way they are right now......

if you compare the Revoutionary war politics to todays situation, the liberals are the revolutionaries and the conservatives are the Royalists...

colonialism returns in the 21st century....

hey g-man got scared you stopped talking to me... which isn't news that plans for our schools were found in iraq. or, that the u.n. the kerry wants to summit with was skimming billions. (that was suspected all along. Including while france was threatening to veto action to make some bank.

you find corruption with bush, i find corruption with the u.n., resulting in the u.n being a viable option for containment...

there are no wmd's and hopefully there never were. There were 17 sanctions broken on a cease fire and thats all i ever needed.

Well at this point looks like we should of listened to the UN!! If we would of let the weapons inspectors finish the job they would of found out there were no WMD! Our own cia concludes Saddam destroyed all weapons in 1995!
SO WHY DID WE GO TO WAR?

nah, i been quitting the marlboro's and it's a ruff ride...
just needed some time off and didn't stay off-line all day like i told myself i would....those nicotine receptors are merciless...LOL

i was talking about the AP story...
the school plans are news to me....
got a link?
cuz, quite frankly, it's getting harder and harder to believe anything...i don't doubt it tho...when were they downloaded? after we invaded? hmmmm kinda maybe proves my point about creating MORE terrorists than we are killing huh?

i am getting a little tired of the lame excuses to justify this war...
as i have said over and over again, i am not anti-war, i am anti-stupidity...
we spent 120 billion so far, and 80 more is on the budget..probably going to exceed that too...
we have NO PLANS to stop the terrorists from coming in thru Mexico... we've never succeeded at stopping the drugs or the illegals there, why are we likely to stop a couple dozen terrorists NOW???? we aren't!!! that's the intelligent appraoch...

fact is, as i TRY to take the whole picture in, i see some serious flaws going all the way back to BUSH #1 not getting re-elected... there are some very bad people $$$supporting Al-queda, and we have done almost nothing(that i can see) to fix this....i suspect that the financing issues will be SHOCKING.....

as an amateur student of history, and a student of Sun Tzu, i see what's going on, even if i can't prove it all, it's there.........

the group mind is being FORGED in the fires of hate....not a new phenomena

Well, I went to factcheck.org...where Cheney said to go(replace the com)...and read some things that I wasn't aware of.Go there and read.
The most interesting thing I heard about was last night on MSNBC (before debate coverage). Since USA is now digging herself into massive debt....
Guess who loans us most of our money to cover our debt? China
More than 50% of our treasuries and bonds are being bought by foreigners.
That means that if they ever decide to cash in, our dollars would be equal to pesos.
Does this aspect bother anyone besides me?

yes that's why i've been suggesting that owning gold and silver migh tbe a very good idea....

another issue this brings out is my argument that WE ar not the global power some would like to claim we are....

when people try to tell me how good it is to have a big debt, i laugh.....

another overlooked issue is WHO we sent to China to set up our current relationship with them...
Geroge H W Bush.......
way back when.... and we gave them most favored nation status even after Tienanmen Square....

NO nothing is what it appears to be on the surface....... and if you look too long, you will get a headache...

the chinese don't respect our intellectual property rights and they also have some banking practices that make it difficult to collect bad debt from them....
