Mods, I know this is a "General" question, but wanted to get an answer quickly, and then it can certainly be moved to that page.

THanks.

Are any of you able to find your trae history on Choicetrade? There used to be a spot for it but I can't find it anymore. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I guess I could get it from there, although that's by days held, so it's harder to follow IMO.

Just got this e-mail back from their Customer Service:

"Dear Sir,

This feature has been removed from the trading site. If you click on
"Accounting" from your trading site, you will access the Penson
Financial site.
From here, you are provided with extensive information including your cash
history and trade activity. Thank you."

And you want to know why? I found this out on IHub (so take it with a grain of salt, but it makes sense)

There were lots of times that looking at trade history you could see negative share values in your account history, and then a few days later, the positive value showed up to balance it out.

Seems that someone pressed them for what it was, and the CS Rep said that that is how they show that your shares were borrowed for someone to short the company. So if you had noticed a large chunk of your shares had been taken away, it was because they lent them out as a short.

Apprently people started calling them aboutit and so they disabled the entire feature.

Wish I would have known of that earlier...

I have watched them do this with my account for the last couple of years. Sometimes it made me wonder if my sells didn't go through because my shares were lent out...

From the SEWC thread last May...

yep, but only when shares are scarce and somebody wants in bad...

My broker usually takes about 50k of my shares per day for shorting, so I know there is some short interest here...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you know ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my account activity log, I often show these transactions:

4/30/07 12:00 AM Margin STK SM -50,000 SEW CAL LOGO INC SEWC US

I asked my broker what that meant, and they told me that since I have a margin account, and I buy shares on margin, they can use my shares for shorting. Or, as they put it, "allowing other brokers to borrow my shares." Brokers all do this amongst each other and MM's, it's how the market stays liquid. You can bet that MM's didn't have the shares to fill those orders under .003 this morning, they had to get them from somewhere. People like you and me...
