Im 21 yrs old i want to invest for 3 maybe 5 yrs but not yet still learning only 3 days in ...anyone have a good idea as to how my portfolio should be divided...i don't mind taking risks as well....stocks seem to bit a bit easier to get a grasp of then bonds also anyone know any good sites to learn or even books ? anything would help ty

i've been reading 'investing demystified' by paul j. lim and 'the teenage investor' by timothy olsen these any good ?...n i signed up for fantasy stocks s well just now..when im for real i will start out with 1,000 aprx. Just want to know what i should be learning more in depth about (stocks or bonds) givin my age n money situation..n how long should i research into it before getting my feet wet...stocks seem to pull most of my attention towards it but i want to be diverse also...sorry if this sounds dumd its my 3rd day learning O_O

at 21?

you should start by getting some stock in your local power company directly at their offices, every quarter add some more and use dividend re-investment...

then? when they send you your statement... learn how to read them: quarterly and annual statements, . in 30 years? you'll be glad you did..


spend a whole year studying how to trade and understand 10Q's and 10K's....
if you wanna just trade pinkies and OTCB's (as opposed to investing)? then you need to study charting...
