Scottie no good for "geek plays" that push the envelope; if there's *hint* of trouble, they'll lock ya down. Data feed not always consistent, either. Orders usually fill quickly, and my local peeps are friendly...everybody gripes about the knowledge of front-office types, regardless of the brokerage. Me? Am thinking I'll go to Choicetrade, or even leave one open with Scottie as "backup," but trade mainly from Choicetrade....I like that you have can have a linked checking account...

Choicetrade.com ... PERIOD!!! ... my reputation speaks for itself... try them and if not satisfied you can always switch... low commissions, great customer service, easy to use, stop/losses on Pennies (yes micropennies too) etc...

Mach...'s right. Choicetrade is an excellent choice for aa broker.

I have both Lowtrade and choicetrade and both provide pluses (and negatives) the other doesn't. Since setting up an account is free with both, I recommend having both. Cost are essentially the same and both use Pension Financial for book keeping etc. , and both provide some sort of "free" electronic funds transfers to or from your local bank (my account with each broker is a money market checking account), which only started about a month ago.

Called in trades via choicetrade are a bit more expensive, by several times.

gonna keep Scottie, which got "pruned," nyuk nyuk--they f'd me too many times on my geek plays--and fully fund Choicetrade, I believe...

But what the poster was saying is there's a way to trade electronically via the cell-phone. That's hep, cat...

I've used etrade and ameritrade and another brokerage firm. My etrade comissions were(cheapest) 7.99 per trade so far. What are the cheapest known commisions out there now? Ameritrade has better services than etrade that I know of even though the commission is a little bit more costly(10.99 fixed per trade). Ameritrade is the big boy on the block from what I've been told as well.
