I am new to this whole game of investing. After coming across allstocks.com from searching dogpile, I new this was the place to be. Very insightfull information from all the various posts. My question to all of you is who is the best online brokerage firms to open an account with and why would you choose that company??? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Also, what I am most interested in is penny stocks because of the small capital investment required and the huge potential for profit...
Thanks

Newbie help please !! I'm new to the trading world here I figured I'd start with 500 on some penny stocks. I opened an account with Ameritrade and also subsciped to thier level II quote
I put up a few pink stocks and don't see any active ask/buy on the screen for them but if I hit last sale it shows on the chart. I called ameritrade about one of them and they told me it just might be that symbol. But after trying a few and getting the same issues ; I'd like to know a few things. 1) Is ameritrade pulling my chain or does anybody know if they just have an overall bad system setup for pink sheets etc.
2) Since I'll be mostly dealing with pink & OTCC as i get started in the stock world is Ameritrade the place to do it and with using thier level 2?
3) would you suggest a diff broker with level 2 that supplies adequate OTCC/Pink sheets

lowtrades and if you get "medved quotetracker" now and let lowtrades know then you'll get $2.50 trades thru 9/30 (as i recall). works great for me. usual fee per trade is $5.

Yep. And you don't have to actually use Quote Traacker, just tell them you have it.

hey does choice trade have a program where it shows you live how the stock is currently?
something similar to what scottrade have?
the real live second to second view of the stock
I recently asked the same question. here is the response by bdgee Choice trade charges for realtime quotesand L2s on their streaming desktops and charges for the streaming desktop too, unless.......?
However, if you make 25 trades (I believe I have the number right) during the month, then, on about the 28th of the month or so, when they make that charge, you email them (or call) and point out that you qualify via the number of your trades, they will remove the charge, i.e., the real time quotes, L2s, and streaming desktops are free, provided you remember to apply for them at the end of the month.

I got the same issue. I used to have a website 3 years ago that had L2 free and current. I wish I still knew it but new computer....lost all sites. Yes, Ameritrade sucks at OTCBB....I have been looking at the same bid/ask for 2 weeks now for 1 stock....its crazy....look for yourself and see what it says....
GAXY $0.025 bid $0.028 ask
I know that is not true....on top of that....I do limit order to sell and say I price it at $0.025 and the stock hits $0.03....it still don't sell....doesn't make sence....works most of the time but not always....anyone else have this issue????
