What is and how does this affect a stock? Saw a stock drop 55% or more with this upcomeing. Do stocks recover after these kinds of things? Thanks for any info

Warrant - A security that allows the owner to purchase shares of the issuing corporation's stock at a set price on a future date.
So a stock at the time of notice was at 2.00 or more,the warrant is to buy at 1.50 good deal for them then.But it is now at .72 and the deadline is a week away.Who would redeem to buy at a higher price than market?I am new to all this stuff I am just missing something.Why would that make the stock go down? stock (ARWRW)

ARWRW up 50% today closed at .90 from yesterdays low of .60. I really got to work through my DD faster. I missed PFT and now this for some good trades. oh well I am learning.And thanks I will look into the reading material.Knowledge is power.
