i have been day trading for a while now(6 years) and i feel that now its time for me to stop and try something new, so i am buying a tim hortens and going to do that now.
Anyways to the point, i have about 20 000 cash and i want to invest in 10 stocks putting it 2000 in each and just leave it for long term like a year even more heck even buy through my RRSP account and leave it for 10 years or more
i am young and i am in hurry to sell!!
Anyways u guys seem to really know what u are talking about have been following some u for a while and your picks are amazing, and so i was just wondering if u guys could help find a few companies that u guys know that u think can be huge winners in the long run ( no day trading stuff) just stocks that will go up in the long run like good potential companies. something i can hold and not worry about, something that i can see every 3 monthes and not worry about cause its a good company
i might still do some day trading here and there, but not that much. instead i will focus more on my business.
so if u guys have any companies that u think can be 10 to 100 baggers in a year or more please let me know.
p.s. these comanies can be .0001 or $1 or more i dont care the price just want some potential
Thanks in advance

Tim Hortons will set you back between 300K-500K I would hang on to your 20K for a rainy day and not "invest" in penny stocks

My advice (and its worth what you are paying for it) is that you should not hold penny stock for a long term investment. Now a none microstock that I like is SIRI. Sirius satellite radio. Gonna be in every car, rolling out the mobile units (like a walkman), and are experitmenting with video streams. Nothing but up baby!!!

Imran - I've held STTC for several months. Since mid-Sept. it has gone from under .02 to .24 at close today, and, with occasional small dips, expect this kind of growth all through this year. Do your DD on this one! It is a penny, but truly an excellent long-term buy that does not need daily monitoring. Looking for 1.00+ by the end of the year.

Great choice with timms, they seem to be doing very well. As far as long term investments Precious and base metals are the way to go. Pick yourself up a junior gold, silver or copper exploration company with good geological data and management team. This will yeald a higher leverage than going out and purchasing a intermediate or senior.
I have a few suggestions for you. I picked up Desert Sun Mining (DSM on the TSX and DEZ on the AMEX) as a junior at 1.05 there are now at 2 plus and report that they will be going into production this year.
Sino Silver SSlV I picked them up at 1.65 this is another one to take a look at. They are in nothern China. Check out their site @ www.sinosilver.com
As far as long term investment I have invested in a MIC.

for long term (meaning months maybe even year or longer) do not invest in pennies (stocks under $5).. or at least not your whole bankroll... they are pennies for a reason... if you want long term investment stocks stick to stocks that are $5 and over...

sorry i have to disagree.. a stock that is a micro cap and isnt even worth .01 per share is not a long term "investment" .. the key word here is "investment" not "trading"... big difference in the two words.. I dont know how long you have been on the board or how long you been "investing" and/or "trading" Rich.. but if you were here last year.. QBID was "The" penny stock last year and was hyped into the stratosphere on positive news and reports...then tanked... check its charts for the last like 12 months i would say... so believe me... micro stocks like Qbid are not a "investment" ... when a stock reaches $1 per share then i might consider it for a investment... but not a stock that isnt even worth the change in my pocket on a daily basis...

I think that Scie.pk has alot of potential. I dont currently have money in it but do some DD on it and you will find a amazing POTENTIAL product line that should be approved after clinical tests. The problems with it are that it trades on low volume and the mm's have this one wrapped up tight but I see it as only a matter of time before institutional buyers see its potential then skys the limit. I'll post if i see anything happening with it.

I say that it takes money to make money. With $20K, you could buy two to four stocks with that amount. The more money you put into a stock (and it goes up), the more return you would get. I've been playin small cap Canadian oil & gas co.s and you can almost pick any stock and it goes up (reminds me of the techs - yikes!). Nonetheless, oil & gas is a commodity in demand for a long time - can't go wrong with it.

MSEP would be one I would ride for awhile. I think it has the potential to really go big. If management does what it says it's going to do, this could be big. Here are a few reasons: 1. No competition 2. Great exposure 3. Growing business 4. Liabilities from previous company "Ten Stix" are behind them 5. Great entry price 6. Currently in a confirmed uptrend 7. Insiders are buying big time I think this is going to be huge IMHO. I'm getting in on Monday and going to let it ride. v/r Eric
