whats a fed meeting and waht is it about, whats it do what does it do for the trader and or the stocks??

The heads of each of the Federal reserve banks meet. If they decide to raise ,hold, or Lower short term intrest rates banks charge one another over nite.
The market reacts accordingly.

The Fed Meeting: To decide to raise interest rates or not

The Result: Rates go up stock market tends to go down.. bond market goes up ... good time to "short" stocks ...
