I live overseas (in Taiwan) and am looking to start investing in US stocks. Does anyone else have experience of investing from overseas and if so could you let me know of any pitfalls or hidden costs. Posts: 108 | From: London , UK | Registered: Feb 2004

MC This is a joke?!!! If China is going to attack Taiwan, your best investment is a ticket to the US. HEY BUDDY I"M on your side. Don't know your Asset limitations, but monitor the several threads and I'm sure you will find a lot of good information. VAN

DEV I use Ameritrade also & have been happy. Not experience some problems day traders are complaining about. I think aside from what broker MC is wondering about taxes, funding account thru a currency exchange & back again if he wants it. I can't answer this. VAN
