If any one knows of a site which has a dictionary of stock symbols i could download or print out it would be most appreciated i am fairly new at the trading biz, and need any tips or sites with excellent info for beginners Thanks Del

DEL I sure don"t know of one. These change ona regular basis. Companys move from one board to another or take overs change a symbol. You could on a ny given date run a stock screen with parameters that include ALL companys. Be prepared for 1700 or more pages depending on type size. Why do you need this ? VAN

hope this helps, there is a way to download a lot of symbols and descriptions from NASDAQ i did it once, it comes in a excel document, look around in www.nasdaq.com you will find it, i forgot where exactly it is, but i do have it in my computer, email me if your interested
