Anyone else receive their summons for the BCIT lawsuit? I bought my shares through Ameritrade and am awaiting their answer as to what I'm supposed to respond with. Any advice?

You will need to file an Answer to the Court and BCIT Attorney within 20-days of receiving the Petition. I suggest you go to the following site and view a sample Answer, which you can paste to your word processor program and put in your personal information. I found the address for the court and attorney on other links. I hope this helps. I too was added on the list, when I purchaed shares at just over 2 cents on August 30, 2005. My entire purchase was under $300, yet I get this.
Hope these help. I cannot offer legal advise, but I can hopefully put you in the right direction. With this info, you can save when having an attorney review the sample answer and the articles written.

Brokers can't help you respond, for several reasons...
At this point, the i-hub thread mentioned *is* the best for a wide ranging discusssion of alternatives, but you have to be able to "know your players." iow, don't get overwhelmed with bs... the "i-box" there has a summary, and various links to various templates...
Best thing to do is hire an attorney...
Do know this, though: Of the five charges/counts, only #1 remains: 2 - 5 already dismissed...

nothing yet on trading... dismissed without prejudice against everyone, without prejudice means "for now" ...
i'd have to write a five page report to try 'splain properly what I BELIEVE is going on...
the short story is that ACCORDING to the 10K
the DTCC placed restrictions on transfer of te stock and the CEO has to fulfill some UNSPECIFIED requirement for the DTCC to remove it from the current "freeze"...
it's an interesting case study in how the the system works..
it's also been interesting in terms of "flushing out" some of the real "bad guys" in the pinkie mkt....
apparently Mario Pino counterfeited a bunch of certs and deposited them in an Oklahoma brokerage then proceeded to sell them into the market....
we are still wondering when the FBI will pick him and put in the Grey Bar Hotel...

Can you (and do you feel like) quickly relating the situation to the BHUB situation? They seem to be similar on the surface to me, but I'm pretty uneducated about BCIT aside from general familiarity.
