FRANKFORT, Ky., Jan 12, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- PlanGraphics Inc. (PGRA, Trade) announced today that it has registered and established a China office in Beijing, China.
PlanGraphics' China office will serve as a base of operations for projects that PlanGraphics has recently won in China.
"With the volume of work that PlanGraphics currently has under way or ready to begin in China, a local office will be tremendously beneficial in coordinating and facilitating our activities there," said Minna Li, PlanGraphics' vice president for international projects.
PlanGraphics' recent project awards in China include:
-- Providing technical advisory services for an intelligent
transportation system (ITS) for Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) in
several major cities in China
-- Assistance in building an urban management information system
(UMIS) for the Liaoning Provincial Government and selected
city governments
-- Providing technical assistance for the study of Digital City
