.0007 Vega's Latin American Poker Tour Expands to 'Poker Tour of the Americas' Friday April 4, 10:25 am ET
LONDON, April 4, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VEGA PROMOTIONAL SYSTEMS, INC. (Pink Sheets: VGPM - News) today announced it is expanding its Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) to include North American venues. The name of the Tour has changed to become the "Poker Tour of the Americas" (PTA).
As a result of increased interest from cities all over North and South America, Vega has agreed to expand the Tour's reach to include cities in the United States and Canada.
The plan for the inaugural season remains the same. The Company is currently negotiating with venues in several Latin American countries, including Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. New potential Tour stops include venues in the United States and Canada, with a season ending Tournament of Champions to crown the champion of the "Poker Tour of the Americas."
In addition to promoting the PTA, Vega will be the Executive Producer of the video programming and plans to air the tournaments throughout North and South America. Since Vega will own the programming, the Company is currently negotiating for airtime with cable providers that would in turn, allow the Company to sell its own advertising for the programs.
The tournaments will be structured as invitational events with players from all over the world able to win seats via online and live local satellite tournaments.

We contemplated launching a second Tour for North America, but decided to combine the two and make the PTA one of the largest poker tours in the world. News for 'VGPM' - (Vega Announces Reverse Stock Split)
Received 5:14 PM EST 15 APR 08 LONDON, April 15, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- VEGA PROMOTIONAL SYSTEMS, INC. (Pink Sheets: VGPM) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a reverse split of the Company's common stock at a ratio of 1-for-100 shares.
Prior to a special meeting of the Company's Board of Directors on February 5, 2008, the Company received approval from a majority of its stockholders to affect a reverse stock split of the Company's common stock at a ratio of one-for-one hundred. The Company's Board of Directors approved the reverse stock split on the basis of one share of post-split common stock for each one hundred shares of pre-split common stock.
The reverse stock split will be effective at 8:00 a.m. EDT, on April 16, 2008. Vega's common stock will begin trading at that time under the new symbol "VGPR".
The reverse stock split will reduce the number of issued and outstanding shares of Vega's common stock from approximately 414 million shares to approximately 4 million shares. No fractional shares will be issued in connection with the reverse stock split. The total number of authorized common shares after the reverse split will be 500 million.
Existing stockholders holding Vega common stock certificates will receive a Letter of Transmittal from the Company's transfer agent with specific instructions regarding the exchange of shares. Computershare Trust Company, Inc. is the Company's transfer agent and will act as the exchange agent for the purpose of implementing the exchange of stock certificates in connection with the reverse split.
