Somatic Systems, Inc. Continues to Expand Into Military Market Through Veterans Administration Feb 7, 2007 1:55:00 PM
NORTHAMPTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/07/07 -- Somatic Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SMAS) is pleased to announce that they are developing a study for the Veterans Administration to assess the efficacy of Total Somatics vs. other forms of pain relief and rehabilitation techniques. Somatic Systems is designing clinical trials and will provide practitioners to work with veterans at targeted VA hospitals in order to document the efficacy of their pain-relief techniques and to make this form of treatment available to veterans nationwide.
Nearly 26 million living Americans have served in the military, and the VA currently serves 70 million people, including family and survivors of veterans.
In combination with the recent presentations to key military personnel and the ongoing negotiations to position Total Somatics(TM) as an approved treatment for the U.S. military, this news represents a potential for huge expansion and recognition of Somatic Systems' products and services.
Total Somatics(TM) uses a series of therapeutic movements that relieve pain and restore muscles to their natural state of functioning. Total Somatics(TM) techniques have been tested on numerous members of the U.S. military with overwhelmingly positive results.
About Somatic Systems, Inc.
Somatic Systems, Inc. is headquartered in Northampton, Massachusetts. Somatics uses a technique called Total Somatics(TM). Somatics trains and certifies clinical practitioners on how to reeducate a client's muscles and recalibrate overused or injured muscles through a simple series of training sessions and prescribed at-home movements. The Total Somatics(TM) process uses a series of movements (lasting as little as five minutes a day) that lengthen muscles back to their natural, relaxed state.
